  • (ooc: I don't remember if anyone else was at fire training so sorry if I just screwed this up epically.)

For once Isaac's common sense of direction worked out. Blaine's class was being held near the base of the volcano. Despite being rather late there weren't many other trainers there. Two boys and a girl stood around Blain as he gave the lesson. Isaac stepped up and said:

"Sorry I'm late. Just got to school yesterday and still getting used to it here."

I stood over next to the girl and started to listen intently to Blaine.

(I kept this short jus incase I did screw up.)

  • Selene
Even Ryan seemed to be worse than miserable when Selene released him from his PokeBall, holding out a pain au chocolat – one of his favourite 'human foods' – almost as a silent peace offering, her heart sinking as he took it almost dejectedly, sinking even further than she thought possible when he placed it on the table in front of him and picked at it like a Spearow with seed. Normally Ryan would be all over pain au chocolat, Selene bought them for herself rarely, predominantly because whenever she bought them as an intended breakfast for /herself/ they would always be a tasty snack for /Ryan./ A snack meaning 4 to 7 of them in one sitting, if he wasn't too hungry. If there was one thing that her Raichu could do, it was eat bucketloads and still have room for afters, hence why this sudden loss of appetite had Selene feeling guilt-ridden, anxious and ashamed all at once.

"Are you okay Ry? It isn't like you to not be all over a pain au chocolat when it's offered to you…" she asked him quietly, knowing full well that even if he answered she wouldn't understand what he said. Nor would she want to, if his expression was anything to go by.

Luckily, the two of them were distracted by the arrival of Valorie and Dragonair…in costumes that were…well, spectacular was the only term to adequately describe how truly awesome they were! In fact, Selene wasn't even sure who the hell it was until she frowned, peering at Valorie's face closely as obscured as it was by the head of the Dratini outfit. But of course, who else but her best friend yeah right, 'best friend', who is she trying to kid? would pull off a full-on Dratini outfit. Hell, as good as her own Raichu get-up was, it was still plainly obvious that she was a girl in Raichu's clothing!

"Val…!" she exclaimed with a bright laugh, suddenly forgetting her disastrous morning as she laughed gleefully, nodding appreciatively. "You look /amazing./ That is quite possibly the best costume I've ever seen!! I hope they give out prizes for costumes, you're so going to win first place if they do…" she turned her attention to Dragonair, whistling with raised eyebrows. "And you, Dragonair, quite possibly the most beautiful- yet-terrifying dragon I've ever seen. Where did you get that costume?" asked Selene, referring specifically to Dragonair's costume but the question could also be easily applied to Valorie's outfit too, "you can't tell me that you or your Parents made that. I'm gullible, but I refuse to believe that!"

The merriment had taken Selene's mind off the earlier incident. Of course, any repercussions from Gary Oak would bring it right smack to the forefront of her consciousness again, but at that moment it seemed as though laughing had cheered her mood up notably. Either that or, more likely, the presence of Valorie had put Selene's mind at peace once more as so often happened when Selene was in a mood. But at that moment, she was content to forget the earlier relationship angst and just marvel at her friend's awesome costume.

  • "Fire types are strong and proud pokemon. They are imbued with the same spark that drives our civilization." Blaine said.

"…that's kinda deep…" one of the boys said.

"really? He's just reading from a book." The girl stated then pulled out a copy of some philosopher's book.

I held back a laugh. Explains why Blaine is so good at trivia.

"Even if I'm quoting something its still just as true. Did all of you bring a fire type? Of course you did please send them out now." Blaine ordered.

I pulled out Raizer's pokeball and tossed high into the sky. My Quilava burst from it and landed on the rough volcanic soil. The girl sent out a Ponyta, One of the boys sent out a Chimchar, and the other a Numel.

"hmmm good bit of variety. Quilava is one of three Volcano pokemon you know? Others are Typhlosion and Entei." Blaine said on impulse.

'Must refuse to roll eyes.' Isaac thought to himself hearing the boring fact.

  • Valorie Ryder

Valorie showed Selene a proud smile complete with light blush as her outfit was complimented. Maybe she hadn't handcrafted it with nothing but her bare hands and a MacGyver, but did she care? /Heck no!/ She was proud of her costume all the same. Even more so because Selene liked it. Like any of Valorie's close friends, her opinion sort of mattered. She shifted atop Dragonair. How could one tolerate not having arms and legs like that all day? She clearly couldn't even walk.

    "Thanks..!"

Meanwhile, Dragonair drooped her head a bit lower when she heard her name called and gave Selene a pleasant look followed by a light nudge. Ironically, despite Dragonair's size, her species were actually extremely light. She didn't weigh even a hundred pounds. Probably not even sixty, in fact. Valorie slid forward a bit on Dragonair's back when she drooped down, momentarily alarmed. Regardless, she managed to stay on board and recovered after a moment.

"I had to special order Dragonair's costume because she's so big. It wasn't cheap."

Valorie made an exaggerated expression of exasperation before looking at Ryan briefly. Something about his body language seemed odd to her, though she couldn't put her finger on it. After all, she was only fluent in /human/ body language. She understood non-humanoid pokemon body language minimally at best. She paused for a moment, noticing that Selene was... not eating much despite earlier.

"Hey... Aren't you going to eat more than that..?"

She honestly didn't seem overly concerned, though one had to wonder how she herself was supposed to eat with that costume on. She was merely surprised at how little Selene was eating.

  • Vincent Xackford Luna

Vince stood back and watched as his Charizard was hit by both attacks dealing devastating damage. Blitz flew back into the ground right next to where Vince stood leaving a large creator where he had landed. Shade shook of the Night Shade seeing as it wasn't very effective but it still did some damage. The Zorua then went for another Faint Attack this time coming from above the Gengar. Shade didn't want to fight but it seemed like it was the only way at the moment.

As for Dyno and the Zweilous it seemed the evolved one wasn't great at navigating around the area with out crashing and biting into things but, Dyno had been trained in using his hearing and smell by Vince's father so he could get around without bumping into everything. The Deino jumped out of the way of the Dragon Pulse and fired off another Dragonbreath.

The poor little Joltik named Wattage fighting the big Swalot, Wattage had tried jumping out of the way but he still got hit by the Acid Spray. The Joltik had hit the ground hard but he quickly got up and fired off a Electroweb and then another Thunderbolt.

Blitz wasn't going to give up now the Charizard slowly rose back up and let out a terrifyingly loud roar. His flame on his tail also intensified indicating the Blaze ability was in effect. Blitz then let out another roar and fired an intense, scorching hot Flamethrower at the Eelectrik that hit him. As for Terra then Excadrill figured he'd put his focus on the Golurk, he came charging at it with a Metal Claw attack as Scissors, who somehow evaded Swalot's Acid Spray fired off a Water Gun attack. If these attacks didn't finish off the opposing force then the wave of sludge they had ignored and was coming at them would surely.

Kinko puffed out fire irritably before sniffing the air. Ciel! Ooh, she smelled him. She was going to find him, she was on the case! Whatever that meant.

She could hear water dripping too. Well this was a cave. Whatever!

    ~~

Ciel had relaxed a little, until the sound of kicked gravel freaked him out again. He went very quiet and still, swearing he could hear the sounds of footsteps headed this way. Not knowing who it was, he scrambled back against the newly made rock wall.

"Don't," he whispered. Triac sniffed the air and waved his glowing tail. He could smell Kinko. And... some other human. He could not be sure on the scent though.

Chika let out a coo to echo along the cave walls. "Hello?"

    ~~

Ash smiled a little as Kira glared. "On a leash," the canine repeated with a snort. "Oh yes because that insult hasn't been said three thousand times. Try something original why don't you?"

"Kira, he's busy," Ash hummed. "Or maybe he's just afraid to have a real challenge on his hands." She left the idea in the air, raising an eyebrow.

(OOC: This is the first time I'm trying a self training post. Hope I did alright with it.)

    Takumi Ryuuhiko

After having that . . . what at best Takumi might call a private lesson with that new teacher Miss Ash, Takumi headed back to his room at the academy to change into his outdoor training outfit and get his bag with some super potions and full heals. Never know what might happen while out training. He felt almost like the lesson they just had was good enough to count as a class to him. He probably could ask her to have the lesson they just had today count as credit for him attending a class today. Now he felt like it was time to start training his team.

Takumi began to walk through the Depths of the Forest. He had decided to let out Charmander for he planned to train each of his pokemon today. Charmander just happened to be the first one he planned to work with today.

A wild Beedrill approached the two with its stinger-like arms thrust out as it attempted to charge at Charmander. Takumi's eyes glowed a bright red but he was only a fraction of a second late as his Charmander had already been struck by one of Beedrill's stinger arms on the shoulder.

    Charmander, Dragon Rage!

As the Beedrill flew past Charmander and turned around to continue its attack, Charmander had an orb of dark blue flame-like energy glowing in his mouth until he unleashed it to hit the Beedrill head on as the Beedrill was charging at the salamander-like pokemon again. The Beedrill tumbled and rolled on the ground past the Charmander when it fell to the ground from the attack.

Finish him with Dragon Claw before he has time to recover from the attack, then proceed to use Ember!

His Charmander ran after the Beedrill as the claws on his good arm began to glow a bright bluish white energy. As soon as the Beedrill began to get back up, Charmander delivered the 3 nailed attack at the Beedrill's chest, and then Charmander opened his mouth to fire the flames of the Ember attack at the Beedrill's face. The Beedrill fell back on the ground KO'd, already in pain from the attacks it had sustained.

Charmander began to glow white as his form changed shape, now evolving into Charmelion. Takumi reached into his bag to retrieve a potion to heal Charmelion's injured shoulder from the fight against the Beedrill, only to stop as soon as he heard a buzzing sound. He and his Charmelion turned their heads to see that there were apparently two other Beedrills who had appeared near their fallen ally. Takumi began to suspect that he may have stumbled upon a group of Beedrill from the same colony. He and his Charmeleon wouldn't be able to outrun a swarm of Beedrill alone, he had already known this.

Best chance for escape right now is if we manage to stop these two before they call more of their allies, he told his Charmeleon. Can you still fight even with your injury?

The Charmeleon nodded to him. It wasn't too severe of an injury his shoulder had sustained.

    Smoke Screen, then Fire Fang.

Charmeleon spewed out the black smoke around the two Beedrills before jumping up at one of them, teeth burning with fire, and sinking its jaws down into the back of one of the Beedrill's abdonomin. The Beedrill made a higher pitched buzzing noise in pain before Charmeleon let go of it. The Beedrill tried to get some distance between himself and Charmeleon before the other Beedrill charged at Charmeleon using Twineedle. Takumi realized there wasn't enough time to mount a proper counter attack by the time the Twineedles would hit his Charmeleon if he tried to have Charmeleon use one of his normal attacks.

    Duck! Jab with your tail!

The Charmeleon leaned his body forward to duck the Twineedles, then his tail shot forward to have the Beedrill take a face full of the flames from Charmeleon's tail. The Beedrill flew back up as it tried to sooth its burned face even just a small bit before it would try another attack.

The Beedrill with the damaged abdonomin managed to tackle Charmeleon from the side before flying back up in the air and firing a string shot around Charmeleon's mouth. As Charmeleon scratched and clawed at the silk around its face, the two Beedrills fired a pair of Pin Missiles at Charmeleon's legs, bringing the pokemon onto its hands and knees.

Not good. Most of Charmeleon's attacks come from his mouth alone, Takumi thought as he assessed the situation. He saw the Beedrill with the burned face about to charge at Charmeleon again. Charmeleon! Roll over and use Dragon Claw!

Just as the Beedrill was about to impale Charmeleon again, Charmeleon rolled onto his back so that the Beedrill's twin stingers dug into the ground. Just before the Beedrill could get his stingers out, Charmeleon rolled back and stuck that Beedrill in the back with Dragon Claw to KO that Beedrill as well.

Use the flames of your tail to melt off the silk Charmeleon, then use Ember on the last Beedrill.

Charmeleon's tail came up to burn the Beedrill's silk off of his mouth. Thank goodness Charmeleon's don't get damaged from their own tail flames. Or at least that's what Takumi assumed. Soon as Charmeleon's jaw was free he opened his mouth and fired another Ember at the last Beedrill, only to be struck by one of the Beedrill's twineedles in the chest. The third Beedrill now KO'd, Takumi walked over to Charmeleon to examine his injuries.

Hold still. It doesn't look like their attacks did too much damage to you. At the very least you aren't poisoned. Hold still while I use a Super Potion, he communicated to his Charmeleon. He pulled out a Super Potion from his bag and sprayed it on Charmeleon's chest, legs, shoulder, the side that Charmeleon was tackled on, and just to be save he also sprayed it on Charmeleon's jaw in case Charmeleon strained it or hurt it when he was trying to get the silk off his mouth. Are you feeling better? The Charmeleon nodded. Can you still fight? The Charmeleon nodded again. Then let us continue today's training.

As Takumi and Charmeleon continued through the Depths of the Forest, they stop in front of a trainer from the Academy. He looked like a Suicune Student judging from his jacket.

"Hey! You! You from the academy?" the kid asked.

Takumi debated whether or not to answer the kid or leave him alone. Takumi wasn't too fond of how the Suicune students acted now. They seemed to be a lot smugger in their tone than how they used to be from what he remembered.

"Are you looking for a battle?" Takumi asked.

"You bet I am! So will you fight me or what?! Unless you're chicken! What's with the black outfit huh? You think you're cool or something?" the kid asked in a smug tone. "Bet you're some kind of puny first year Raikou or Entei student aren't you?!"

Takumi scoffed before letting out a small laugh.

"Just how naïve can you kids get?" he asked in a mocking tone. Granted . . . this kid was probably close to Takumi's age. "Three years away from this place and almost nothing has changed! I accept your challenge."

The kid looked a little startled at Takumi's outburst but his cocky grin came back to him. "Fine let's do this! Go Pansage!" he said as he brought out the grass type monkey looking pokemon.

Charmeleon stepped forward without Takumi having to say a thing.

    "Pansage use Cut!"

The Pansage ran forward and lifted up one of his small arms to cut at Charmeleon.

    Arm block Charmeleon.

Charmeleon lifted up his left forearm to block Pansage's wrist and pushed it away to knock away Pansage's attack, only to have it slightly cut into his arm as a result.

    Ember. Fire Fang.

Charmeleon opened his mouth and shot out a mess of small flames and pelted Pansage with them. The grass type pokemon stumbled back as most of its body was covered in burn spots, but Charmeleon jumped forward and bit Pansage's shoulder with the Fire Fang attack.

"PANSAGE! USE BITE!" the student called out in fear.

Pansage used Bite on Charmeleon's horn or hump thing in the back of Charmeleon's head. "NOW VINE WHIP!" Charmeleon flinched and let go of Pansage before the pokemon jumped back to unleash a Vine Whip on Charmeleon.

Charmeleon stumbled back and fell to a knee for a second, until he got back up and took another battle pose.

    Smoke Screen.

Charmeleon opened his mouth as a black gas spewed out and surrounded Pansage. Pansage coughed for a moment as it struggled to try and find Charmeleon.

Use toxic on the ground in front of you, then fire an ember attack to let him know where you are.

Charmeleon shot out a gush of toxic liquids as they formed a puddle between him and the smoke screen that the Pansage was still struggling inside.

"Don't worry Pansage! We just gotta wait for them to make the first move and we'll know where to hit them!" pansage's trainer said as he was unaware of what trap Takumi was planning.

Charmeleon fired out an Ember attack at the smoke screen, barely missing the Pansage as it dropped to the ground to avoid getting hit by Charmeleon's flame.

"There you saw that Pansage? Go get him! That's where his Charmeleon is! Go out there and give him a taste of your vine whip again!" the trainer called out.

Pansage ran out with a pair of vines already out and about to hit Charmeleon before it slipped and fell on the Toxic puddle that was lying just outside of the Smokescreen. Pansage struggled to get up, although now he was slowly having his health sapped away by the poison afflicting chemicals.

"Pansage, What's wrong?!" the trainer asked. As the smoke screen began clearing up further, the trainers eyes focused on the purple ooze-like puddle his pokemon had fallen into. "Wh-What is that?!"

"It seems your pokemon fell into the Toxic trap Charmeleon had laid out for him to run into," Takumi said to the trainer. "For a Suicune you are not a very good trainer to say at the very least."

    Dragon Rage Charmeleon. Finish it.

"USE VINE WHIP QUICKLY PANSAGE!" the trainer called out.

Pansage slowly got up and had a vine already out as he swung it at Charmeleon, only to get blown to ashes when Charmeleon unleashed the Dragon Rage blast from his mouth at the Pansage. The green monkey looking pokemon was sent flying back to his trainer KO'd with its back on the ground.

"PANSAGE!" the trainer called to his pokemon as he stared down at him.

Takumi let out a mocking laugh. "For all the talk you had earlier, you failed significantly in that battle. Would you care to try again or would you like to run away?"

"What-Why y-y-you'll see!" the trainer began after returning Pansage to his pokeball. "I'll come back here with some more of my Suicune friends and we'll kick your butt! We'll teach you not to mess with us Suicunes!"

Takumi only laughed again. "You arrogant punk, not even you can hide behind the Suicune Dorm's name forever."

"O-oh y-yeah?! What makes you so h-h-high and m-mighty then?!" the boy stammered, still being arrogant and trying to keep a face of anger and all despite the fact he just lost to this guy.

"Three years ago I was a student at this academy. I was a member of the Lugia dorm," Takumi began as he and his Charmeleon GLARED at the student in front of them. "Now I've come back to this Academy as a Suicune Dorm Student. You aren't that very impressive."

"O-Oh yeah?! W-We'll show you! Ju-Just you wait!" cried the student before he ran off through the trees back to the academy.

Takumi walked over to Charmeleon and began to treat his pokemon with another Super Potion. We will sit here a while and rest, just to make sure you have a decent recovery before we continue with the training for right now. The charmeleon nodded in response, and they sat on the ground in the depths of the forest alone for about half an hour as Takumi allowed his pokemon to recover. During that time, Takumi had used his pokedex to check and see Charmeleon's new stats as well as whether or not he had learned a new move from that battle and if so which he had forgotten. He noticed his Charmeleon had forgotten Ember and learned Flame Burst as a result. After checking that, Takumi was reading a field guide that listed the wild pokemon that could be found on the island. One particular one caught his interest, and pulling out his pokedex, he began searching for information on that pokemon.

Hmm. . . a Deino. A very peculiar and interesting pokemon, he thought to himself. He continued reading some more information about it before he looked into the pokemon's evolved forms. After a bit of reading, he closed his pokedex and stood up. One very interesting pokemon indeed. Charmeleon, get up. It's time we added another member to our team.

The Charmeleon looked up at him and stood up, almost fully recovered from that fight with the Pansage just now. He followed his trainer as they began to seek out the new pokemon.

Sometime later Takumi and Charmeleon found themselves close to the base of the mountain in front of a cave. They proceeded to walk inside of the cave, using Charmeleon's flame tail as a source of light to help guide them through the darkness.

After a bit of navigating, they found the pokemon they were looking for. The long necked blue scaled black haired body turned to them when it heard their approach and charged straight at them with a tackle attack.

Jump to the side now! Takumi ordered as he did the same. They both hit the ground to avoid the Deino's tackle. The Deino on the other hand had kept running until it hit its head against the cave wall. After it shook it's head to get rid of its sense of dizziness and refocus on his opponents, he charged at them again.

    Charmeleon, smoke screen!

Charmeleon fired the smoke screen, but the pokemon had still run straight through it and it fired a Dragon Breath attack on Charmeleon. The Deino coughed a little bit after it had fired that attack because of the smoke screen it had just run through, but it shook it off as it was about to fire another Dragon Breath attack.

That's right, Deino is blind, smokescreen doesn't affect him as much as it would for any other pokemon. Not on terms of sight. Charmeleon! Counter using Flame Burst!

The red pokemon quickly got up and unleashed a huge burst of fire from its mouth to counter Deino's Dragon Breath attack, as well as to continue and strike Deino. The pokemon ran around for a few moments ramming itself into walls as it tried to put out the small flames on its body that already ignited from the Flame Burst's fires hitting the hairs on his body. Soon as the Deino got the flames out it looked back over to his opponents.

    Dragon Rage, then Dragon Claw!

Charmeleon's mouth glowed as it fired out a Dragon Rage attack. Deino fired a Dragon Rage attack as well. While both attacks had canceled each other out, Charmeleon ran forward with claws on one of his arms glowing before he used Dragon Claw on Deino's chest. Deino retaliated by using Crunch attack on Charmeleon's arm after he got struck by the Dragon Claw attack. Charmeleon let out a wail of pain as he tried to shake off the small pokemon.

Fire Toxic at his face, then unleash Flame Burst when he lets go of your arm!

Charmeleon fired the Toxic attack at the Deino still clamped onto his arm. The Deino's face twitched when it got that poison attack in the face and released Charmeleon's arm as it jumped back and tried to shake the poison off his face, but of course it was too late. The poison had already taken its effect. Sadly though, Charmeleon's own arm was infected by the Toxic as well, so now he was poisoned just like the Deino. That still didn't stop him from unleashing Flame Burst on the smaller Pokemon. The Deino rolled back from recoil of the attack and hit the cave wall.

Takumi reached down to his pocket to pull out an Ultraball. After the ball became full sized in his hand, he threw the ball straight at the Deino's forehead and watched as the ultraball bounced off the Deino's head, open up, and in a red flash of light, sucked up the pokemon into the Ultraball before it closed and bounced on the ground. Charmeleon and Takumi watched as the ball twitched and moved restlessly while the center spot on the Ultraball still glowed red. After a few moments, it stopped moving and made a low toned ding or beep like sound just before the red light dimmed out.

Takumi walked over and picked up the device that now contained the newest member of his team and looked over to Charmeleon with a dark grin on his face. We have a new ally.

The Charmeleon nodded, still a little woozy and dizzy from the poison affecting him right now before he fell to a knee. Takumi walked over before pulling out a full heal and a super potion which he used to treat both the poison and Charmeleon's injuries.

I need you for just a little bit longer. Your tail is the only light I have to guide us out of this cave. Once we are outside I will let you rest in your Ultraball as well and take both you and Deino to the Pokemon Center to get proper treatment.

After retracing their steps to the cave's entrance, Takumi returned Charmeleon to his Ultraball and walked back towards the direction of the Academy and Oak Town. Rather than use the Center that was located in the Academy, Takumi decided to use the one in Oak Town so that he could avoid talking with any of the students or teachers right now about what he was doing this morning. After waiting for an hour, his pokemon were returned to him completely healed.

He headed to the Pokemart next to purchase a few more Full Heals and Super Potions, then he walked back out to the wild again to continue training his pokemon.

  • Dardanette Korie

Dardanette watched as Blitz crashed into the ground nearby as if she took great pleasure in defeating the mighty pseudo dragon. Dardanette's gengar meanwhile took another faint attack and the gengar's grin faded. It proceeded to abruptly retreat into the forest faster than any of Vincent's pokemon could hope to keep up with. Sure, it probably could've stayed and won the fight, but it didn't. Why was that? Certainly it hadn't given up. Shade's answer wouldn't take long to show itself, as after a few long moments the gengar would suddely leap out from the brush and the trees, firing a powerful icy wind at Shade. Shade would soon find out that the Gengar had a horrifyingly powerful special attack even against pokemon it's own level.

Meawhile, Zweilous glowed with a blue energy. Was that... That was aura! The blue energy was tainted with dark energy, however, giving it a corrupted look. Zweilous released a dark shockwave that plowed straight through the dragonbreath attack, neutralizing it and continuing on towards Dyno. It was a dark pulse attack, and it apparently had no trouble figuring out where dyno was.

Swalot took the electroweb and then a thunderbolt before abruptly opening it's large, stretchy mouth wide and releasing the closest thing it could to a battle cry, which admittedly didn't sound very intimidating. In fact it sounded about as intimidating as a jigglypuff. What happened next /was/ rather intimidating though. Swalot's body compressed as if an intense force was squeezing it downwards. As it compressed over the course of a mere moment a powerful shockwave was sent out in the joltik's direction. It was earthquake! The shockwave was rather wide, and anyone near it would feel the ground trembling quite hard. The first thing it did was shred the electroweb with little to no effort.

Suddenly Dardanette's grin faded and she looked over at Blitz, seeming to have been instantly aware when he started getting back up. Eelektrik proceeded to take Blitz's attack, but not even that was enough to take the pokemon down in one hit. Though, Eelektrik looked pretty beat up afterwards. It responded by unleashing a thunderbolt on Blitz. It's thunderbolt was not quite as strong as it's wild charge, but what did it matter? After taking the other two attacks Blitz shouldn't have been able to get back up in the first place, let alone a third time. He didn't have the level advantage that was letting Dardanette's pokemon tank hits. Given, Blitz was high enough level to actually a chance at taking down her pokemon one on one, as demonstrated by how much damage his flamethrower had done to the Eelektrik. Was it enough to offset the others, though? ...Not likely, no.

Golurk saw that it was being ganged up on, an overwhelming offense heading right at it. Once again it stood there. However this time when the attacks hit they'd each be met with a powerful shield blocking them. It was protect! Golurk then proceeded to abruptly cross it's arms, floating up into he sky. It appeared to be playing very defensively when confronted with too many attacks like that.

  • After answering his teacher's question, or at least trying to, Jimmy started to feel even more dizzy. Everything was blurry to him, and for seconds everything was bright. Then he felt pain that came form his stomach and felt it spread all over his body. He tried hard not to scream, but after a few seconds he couldn't take it anymore and collpased.

"K-Koffing! Koffing!" Smokey yelled, as if saying [H-Help! He fainted!] He hovered near his trainer, he wouldn't leave him alone.

  • Gen Valdrauth Esis

Gen walked back in despair, he had been utterly defeated by just one single pokemon. He was crying lightly. Hyper did damage only with his strongest Cross Chop and Darrumel's Hydro Pump barely fazed him. "The teachers here are this strong?" Gen sighed."I should have never tried. I mean what's the point in fighting a losing battle?"
"Wh...What happened? Oh yeah, I got ounched by Magmar on the head. Ugh.... that hurt a lot. Now I have a headache, and it hurts like hell." Darrumel had barely any energy left so he went to sleep again."Well at least nobody got any serious injuries." Gen wiped his tears and comforted himself. "I just gotta train harder! I'll beat him one day. Until then, I'll train real hard! You'll help me, right guys?" His team nodded, they wanted to get stronger as well, especially Hyper, Shock and Darrumel. "Great so let's train up!"
They went to an open plain nearby to spar with each other. "Okay, this time, we'll be practicing speed! We need to hit our enemies fast no? So we are going to race each other. Winner gets three bars of chocolate. Now get to position. Of course, light attacks are allowed to speed up." announced Gen to his team
    "3"
    "2"
    "1"
    "Gooo!"
Hyper lunged forward with a slight boost from a thunderbolt he fired backwards. The others ran catching up to him, Darrumel shot his Hydro Pump downwards and carried him to the lead, of course, the finish line was far from close. "Oh no, they're fast!"
    "I'll win this!"
Shock had pushed his eight tiny legs to the limit to run faster than Hyper, he was small and it was bad for him. but CupCream was leading easily, she floated in front of everybody and had reached the finish line first."Yees! I won! I like chocolate!" She munched down the chocolate bars and left for home."Well that's enough for now."
He put everybody back in the pokeballs and went exploring the dorms again.

  • Quin

Quin could hear something cooing from down the cave. He thought he recognised that voice.

"Chika?!" he called, his booming voice echoing down the cave. He was also beginning to guess who this little vulpix belonged too. Ciel! Ciel was in trouble!

"Humph, took you long enough to catch on. Yes, it's Ciel in there. We need to hurry. You got your medical supplies incase he's hurt?" Zara said mildly. He had seemingly taken what he told Raph yesterday seriously. Quin smiled and walked into the cave. Ezar looked around, happy to be underground again. She had stopped struggling by now, figuring out that this human wasn't going to let go of her now. She sighed and decided to make herself comfy. Quin grinned and walked around, his flashlight shining in the darkness and sending little pokemon scirrying away from him.

    Arcino

"I'm not gonna waste my wit on you, you overgrown mutt!" Arcino snarled. He assumed a battle stance and glared at both the human and the Lucario. He turned his head to her and glared a moment befre answering.

"I am busy...But I always make time for a challenge. Shame that there is none here. Just some blind human and her overgrown mutt," he snapped iritatedly.

"Humph, the two of you would be useless to me anyways," he said, his tone low and deadly.

    Nova

Nova growled at his father. The Arcanine growled back and looked at him.

"Humph... You still don't understand. You mindlessly seek more power, and you don't even know why you want it. Fine. If you think you can take my Fire Stone, then come and get it!" the Arcanine said. Nova growled and used Roar, sending the other Growlithe yipping and running. His father flinched and he charged forward. The Arcanine chomped down at him with Bite, but Nova leapt to the side. He sprung forward, his own fangs glowing as he Bit at the Arcanine. His father growled angrily and smacked him with his paw. Nova hit the ground with a heavy thud and slowly got to his feet. He felt large fangs close around his throat and froze.

"You're still not strong enough... Go back to your trainer," his father said. He turned and walked back into the cave, leaving Nova feeling dazed and confused.

  • Katam sat on top of the pokemon-totem pole that him and his teammates had formed, he happily started to hum a familiar tune,
    [Duu~, dururu~, du, du, dururu~...]
[For the love of Lugia, will you guys get off me?!] Quillie shouted angrily, the others combined weight was a bit more than he could hande.
[What? Nah, we like it here actually.] Maxwell's other pokemon said in unisison giving off small smirks towards Quillie.
[You freaking trolls! GET OFF ME!!!] the Quilava screamed as he started to shake Wilson, Slackey and Katam off him.

Katam was thrown off first, he flew trough the air and noticed Leena right below him. The Tympole smirked, he did a somerassault and started to dive down towards Leena. He planned to land on her head as a prank, it was Halloween afterall. But to Katam's surprise, he passed right through the Misdreavus and landed on the sharp end of the table. Katam was then rolling around on the floor in pain,
[Ooh, that hurts...] he said making a face that perfectly described his pain.

Slackey held on to Wilson like he was riding a mechanic Tauros,
[Woooo, this is awesome!] he laughed,
[Easy for you to say...] Wilson said with a pained expression on his face, Slackey's claws wasn't excactly the nicest thing to have wrapped around your body. Eventually, the Swinub flew off aswell taking Slackey with him. They both crashed into Maxwell almost making him fall over.
[HA!] Quille said with a triumphant smile, [That's what you get when you mess with me!] he added as he shot out the flames from his back and his head.

Maxwell grunted, Wilson and Slackey had hit him hard.
"Thank Arceus that I'm wearing a mask right now." he thought as he had attracted quite a few looks from the other students. He returned all of his pokemon quickly and then slumped down in the chair. Couldn't the teacher get here soon?

Chika crooned again, this time calming Ciel from having jumped. Finally the human arrived. Of course he scared her young human in the process but you win some, you lose some. Unfortunately her cooing didn't work and pebbles were flying around everywhere, bouncing off the walls and likely heading for Quin's head. It wasn't as though her human was aiming.

Triac sat up at the sound of scrambling paws, Kinko running joyfully to them.Ciel reached out to pet her, slightly soothed by the gain of his Vulpix. But the raspy Absol hadn't been forgotten, so the boy promptly stayed put. Triac wondered if his master would even be able to stand up.

    ~~

When Kira relayed the insult to her, Ash started laughing. Not a couple chuckles either, but full-blown are-you-kidding-me laughter. "Dear God ahahah..." She wiped her eyes. "Hoo boy... that one never gets old... not a challenge.... hah!" Ash managed to stop snorting for a few seconds. "Dear god... I've had so many people tell me that."

"You're not the first one to say a blind person can't fight," Kira commented. "Won't be the last fool to do it either. I cannot stand the woman to be truthful but no one can deny her skill."

"And keep your little murder issues to yourself kiddo," Ash told Arcino dismissively, baiting him with a turn of her back. "Heh, I bet you can't even knock out one of the Sandshrew here, let alone me. She grinned mischevously. "So how about a bet? You beat Kira or myself, I teach you a new move and give you a hand. Kira kicks your leafy butt, well," She chuckled. "Suppose we'll find out."

In truth, she likely wasn't planning on doing anything but baiting the stupidity of others was always a delight.

"Whoa! Ciel it's me!" Quin said as he hit the deck when pebbles flew at him. His flashlight clattered to the ground and fizzled out and Ezar shouted in fear. She went rolling along the ground and curled into a little ball. Quin got to his feet after a moment and picked the frightened Sandshrew up. His eyes adjusted to the darkness and he saw that Ciel was with his pokemon and an injured Absol.

"Ciel, are you ok?" he asked as he began slowly walking towards the frightened boy.

    Arcino

"Humph, your blindness is no excuse. I say you're no challenge because you aren't. Blind or not it does not matter," Arcino said. He glared as she turned her back to him. So, she'd just say that and then walk away. Anyways, she had offered to teach him a new move. That was a chance he couldn't pass up. After all, his moveset was severely... Lacking. And the chance to beat her smug, arrogant behind. This was too good to pass up.

"Very well. While I have very little time to spare, I suppose someone must teach you a little humility," he said to Ash as he assumed a battle stance.

  • Selene
"I can imagine!" laughed Selene in response to Valorie's explanation of the amazing costumes, smiling and reaching out to stroke Dragonair's head instinctively when the Pokemon nudged her...before realising that Dragonair's entire head, save for her eyes, were covered by the outfit. She instead contented herself with smiling brightly at the Dragon type, genuinely feeling a lot happier with Valorie and Dragonair there. That was until Valorie brought up that she hadn't eaten much...oh yes, the fight. There was a reason why she had lost her appetite...

Valorie would probably notice that Selene's mood instantly darkened, the smile slipping progressively from her face and replaced with an expression that could only be described as pure misery as she turned to glance at Ryan, who had taken to pushing the pastry in front of him from side to side with his tail. It seemed she still wasn't forgiven, then...even more joy to an already perfect day.

With a large sigh, she suddenly propped her elbows on the table in front of her and allowed her head to fall into her hands, her palms braced against her forehead. It was generally the body language of someone who was thoroughly fed up, and was sort of unusual for Selene, given that her personality was normally the annoyingly loud side of chipper.

"No. I'm not so hungry anymore...I kind of..." she trailed off anxiously, finding herself unable to articulate to Valorie what had happened outside the dorm earlier. Would she sympathise with Selene, knowing what her Suicune dorm compatriots could be like in terms of antagonism and snobbery, or would she be alarmed by the seemingly sudden transition that Selene's personality had taken – firstly falling out with Mark in a spectacular fashion, then getting into an /actual fist fight/ over some childish remarks? For some reason Selene didn't want Valorie to think of her in the same terms as she did those girls who had bullied her...she feared that revealing the earlier turn of events would do just that.

"I may have got myself into a bit of bother with some Suicune horrors. And Brock. And probably Professor Oak, but we'll see..." she shook her head in sheer disbelief that these words were actually coming out of her mouth, but she looked up at Valorie, resting her chin on her hands now. "It will be fine I'm sure. You know me, slippery as an Eelektross if I want to be..." Her attempt at bravado was pretty see-through – not even Selene could turn this pretty disastrous event into nothing.

"Anyway," she started again in a brighter tone, causing Ryan to look up at her briefly with a somewhat dead expression, look to Valorie and Dragonair, before returning to his pain au chocolat games. "We have class. Which type specialisation are you going to? I was thinking Dragon...but perhaps Electricity would be better..." she trailed off with an anxious glance at Ryan, who didn't respond to her words this time. It seemed as though something had broken between the two of them since yesterday, it was quite plain to see.

  • Jacy held her student's guide in front of her as she walked, looking at the map. "Clive, do you see the Grass Specialization class on here?" she asked, showing it to Clive.

    "...Snivy." Nope.

Sighing, Jacy squinted as hard as she could at the sheet of paper. "Okay, we could make a right here-"

She had bumped into someone and caused them to drop their stuff. It was a student she didn't know from the Entei dorm. "Hey! Don't you watch where you're going?" he muttered, glaring down at her.

"I-I...I'm s-so sorry...let me help you.." she squeaked, reaching down to pick up the fallen books.

"Don't touch it! Just get away from them!" he shrieked when she grabbed a book.

He scowled at her, mumbled something, picked up his things, and walked away.

Jacy stood up and said nothing. Feeling humiliated, she turned and walked towards a door. She stepped outside, walked a bit, and sat under a tree.

Clive hopped off of her shoulder and grumbled. "Sniiiiiiiii-vy!!!!" What a jerk! No one talks to my friend like that! Why, I outta teach him a lesson!

Jacy managed a tiny smile and patted him on the head. "Let's sit here for a little bit, it's nice outside," she murmured.

  • Valorie Ryder

Dragonair seemed pleased despite the fact that she was wearing a costume whilst being pet. Perhaps she could feel it through the material? The material itself was pretty lightweight feeling yet inflexible. Was that plastic, or maybe paper mache? At least the head was. The body more resembled clothe in texture. Meanwhile Valorie observed how Selene was acting and concern grew on her face slowly but surely as Selene went on. By the sound of it Selene had gotten into some sort of fight, and it was really bothering her. Valorie honestly didn't expect Selene to be worried about being expelled though. Sure, this was the most prestigious of all pokemon schools in the world, but they were kids! Kids fought sometimes. You didn't get expelled just for some random fight! She could imagine some sort of suspension at worst. Valorie looked down at Dragonair.

"Hey Dragonair..? Can you set me down next to Selene? Like... on the bench...?"

Dragonair turned her head up at Valorie and gave her a confused look. As It happened, pokemon weren't a hundred percent fluent in English, and Dragonair was very young. She had difficulty understanding any remotely complex sentences in the human language. Nevermind spanish, which totally exists here apparently. Tropes aversion yay! Yet, after a moment Valorie was lifted off Dragonair by a telekinetic force and lowered down so that she could sit next to Selene. Valorie promptly gave Selene a light showy smile. The Dratini line was rare as it was. Ones that had that level of psychic ability were very few. There were probably only a handful in the world, namely Lance's, Valorie's, and a few others that had also tried to mimic Lance's training. Valorie became serious relatively quickly though.

"Hey..! I'm sure it's not that bad..! If you need someone to stick up for you I'll be there..!"

She was trying to sound reassuring and optimistic. Little did she realize the context of the fight. In truth, there wasn't a whole lot Selene could say to hurt Valorie's image of her. Valorie was not a casual eater. She was too clingy /if anything/. What she knew about dating she knew from her parents, and they had taught her the less romantic side of dating. Given, books had taught her the romantic side, leaving her with a nice balance. That wasn't to say she was the perfect date. No... She was both overly optimistic and honestly not picky enough. She was the type of person who was likely to say yes to the first person who asked her out and wind up getting hurt as a direct result. In that sense, one might consider it a miracle that she found Selene first.

"I was thinking about dragon specialization too."

She just sort of casually gazed at Ryan in a thoughtful manner.

  • Vendra Gerrard

Ven was sleeping near the cave entrance when he woke up. He sleepily yawned and got on his feet. " My my, I've been asleep for quite some time"
He had planned to sleep for only ten minutes but ended up sleeping for three quarters of an hour. "Nuuuu, guess I'll head for the icy plains now, it seems like a comfy place. After some thirty minutes of walking, he reached the icy plains. "Wooow! It's white, I mean totally white." Ven was amazed at the scenery, there was none. All white would be a good way to describe it, there was snow and snow alone.
    "Brrrr....It's freezing here." exclaimed Endure

"Me no likes it here, it to cold." Snacks was shivering all around her little body.

Ven wanted to fight against one of the local pokemon, so he decided that a Cubchoo should do."Ok now, where's a Cubchoo here, where, where, where?"
Just as luck would have it, a Cubchoo passed by in front of Ven, this was a grown and strong Cubchoo, so he sent out Endure against it. But the Cubchoo called for something, turns out the Cubchoo was the leader of a whole gang of Cubchoos."Dammit! Fine then, Zemrath and Snacks help Endure!"
They were up against a group of 3 Cubchoos, but none of them were very strong. Ven had left Endure and Zemrath alone to fight with their own decisions. So they did. Endure use his Close Combat to knock away the Cubchoos while Zemrath used Rock Polish to speed up. After Zemrath's power up, it was Endure's turn. He used Bulk Up and increased his power. Snacks was minding her own business annoying the Cubchoos with tiny Shadow Balls. The two fighters had already powered up and began wreaking havoc among the Cubchoos. But the Cubchoos hit back using Icy Wind. The sheer coldness of the strike weakened Zemrath and endure a lot. So Snacks geared his speed up with Agility and fired of his Night Daze attacks at full power. The trio of Cubchoos were easily beaten so they rested a bit before going anywhere else.

Dante and Aron were at the building when they decided to see where they are on the island.

"Come on Aron, lets see what this building is", Dante said to Aron. "Maybe we could get an idea of how to get back to the dorms."

Dante and Aron started to walk around the building and noticed a sign that were near what looks like the front of the building. It said on the sign "Keep out. This is the abandoned building of Lugia Dorm."

"Whoa, Lugia Dorm", Dante said. "You wanna go in and explore it, Aron."

"Ar, Aron", Aron said shaking it's head. No way, I wanna get out of this forest.

"Alright, lets head back to the Academy grounds", Dante said with a bit of disappointment in his voice. "Come on, Aron."

Dante and Aron turned around and headed into the forest. When Dante and Aron were walking through the forest when they spotted a wild Seedot fall from a branch that was a couple feet in front of them. The Seedot turned around and looked at the two that stopped in front of it.

Wow, a Seedot, Dante thought. I haven't seen one them in a while.

Just then, the Seedot attacked Dante and Aron with Nature Power, which took the form of a Seed Bomb attack.

"Aron, use Harden to block the attack", Dante said to Aron. Aron jumped in the Seed Bomb-like Nature Power attack and Hardened his armor. The attack from Seedot hit Aron with full force, only to survive the attack.

"Aron, use Metal Claw on Seedot", Dante ordered Aron. Aron nodded to Dante and charged at Seedot.

The little stub of Aron's front leg turned to a metallic color. With that happening, Aron got close to the wild Seedot and slashed at it. The Metal Claw attack made contact to Seedot which injured the Seedot and made it close to fainting. See that Seedot was close to fainting Dante threw a pokeball at it in hopes of catching the wild pokemon.

"Go pokeball", Dante said as he threw the pokeball at Seedot. The pokeball flew toward the Seedot and hit the it on the head. The pokeball opened and sucked the wild pokemon into it.

The pokeball then started to shake back and forth. Dante and Aron was watching the pokeball shake back and forth. For the a while, the pokeball shaken three times and the the dot turned into a red color. Seeing this happen, Dante smiled a bit that he got another pokemon on his team.

"Welcome to the team, Seedot", Dante said as walked over to Seedot's pokeball and picked it up. Dante placed the pokeball on his belt and grabbed Aron's pokeball. "Aron, return."

Man, I need to get out of this forest, Dante thought. Dante looked at his poketch and started to tap it to the Map app where it shown the island. Looking up from his poketch, Dante started to walk in the direction of the Academy.

It was a beautiful day, everything seemed perfect, the pidgey's where singing, and it was the start of a brand new adventure for one young girl. Too bad she was having a hard time controlling her pokemon.

"Zoro! Come back here! We have to choose a type specialization class together!" Yelled a girl with short blonde hair, running after a oddly colored Zorua, who was snickering as he ran away. As the Zorua rounded a corner he noticed a girl with a snivy sitting under a tree. Snickering, the Zorua ran right behind the tree the girl was sitting under.

Meanwhile the girl with short brown hair rounds the corner, on her back was a special type of bag for carrying pokemon eggs. Suddenly she trips on a tree root almost right infront of Jacy. The Zorua snickers at this, who is now sitting on a low branch in the tree.

((Short i know XD they will get longer a promise XD))
