  • Hey, I know you!

Why don't you like emulators, btw? Is it the...you know...guiltyness of using them? Or just the more mundane reason that they're slow...?

And I still can't beat Wallace!

Slow? All the good emulators have x2 Speed buttons.

My signature (which had all of my Fire Monotype Information) is disabled. Because spoiler tags aren't allowed. I don't even see why though, it's there to keep people that don't want to see it from, ya know, seeing it. That way they only see a huge signature at their own choice.

Either way, I'm probably not going to change it because the disable box acts as a spoiler tag, so my problem fixed itself pretty much. So just click the thingy to view the rest of my monotype stuff if you'd like.

    Small update

    Spoiler:

In fact, I have two reasons to dislike emulators, and they are not the emulators' fault. First, the only computer game I play is TES IV : Oblivion, and I'm used to its controls (you move your character with your left hand on the keyboard and your right on the mouse). So, even if Pokémon's controls are very simple, I still have trouble with them. Second, I don't have access to my computer during the day, but I carry my DS Lite everywhere. So it's a lot more simple for me to play on my console...

But I must admit that the fast-motion space-bar can be very useful while grinding ^^

I'm back with my first update.

Grabbed bulbasaur, fought rival and won.
Ran up to viridian and grabbed the item for oak.
returned to pallet for the dex!
    Hurried north to pewter.
    Beat Brock with natural ease.
Booked it to MT. Moon eager to get geodude.
Caught geodude and named him Geedood.
Stored bulba in the box then started training geedood.
Realized misty was the second gym. * I hate my life*
Fought rival again and owned him.
Trained to make geedood a graveler.
    Fought misty and lost.
    Currently still training >…>

Alright, an update on the white ground challenge... Sorry, got a bit lazy with this. Left off with the arrival in Castelia City.

    - Skipped ahead and caught Sandile, did a bit of grinding
    - Explored the city and beat that annoying Team Plasma.
    - Beat Burgh. This was actually kinda tough, since Leavanny is part grass and I'm a ground monotype and all. But a fully Hone-Claws'ed Drilbur got in a hit on it with Metal Claw, and Sandile finished it off with Retaliate.
    - Cleared the whole desert area thingy
    - Beat N in Nimbasa City (love the music here) and picked up the Bicycle.
    - Beat Elesa with relative ease - Drilbur had a Hone Claws and then struck with Rock Slide, and Palpitoad came in to finish off Zebstrika just for the fun of it.
    - Moved on to Driftveil City, explored the Cold Storage, and beat Team Plasma yet again.
    - Beat Clay easily - Palpitoad's Muddy Water did great.
    - Fought through Chargestone Cave - and got the Lucky Egg! Massive EXP growth here I come!
    - Reached Mistaltron City and breezed through the tower with Krokorok/Krookodile's Crunch.
    - Beat Skylar with some Rock Slides from Excadrill.
    - Went through Twist Mountain. That Dowsing Machine went off all the time - but a lot of these items are only accessible in winter when I can slide down everything. Found Team Plasma at the end, but they ran away.
    - Arrived in Iccirus City. Went out and caught a Stunfisk! Finally, a new member of the team!
    - Grinded a bit with Stunfisk.

So, two more badges and then the Elite Four! (Then all of the rest of Unova, but whatever)

Team: Stunfisk Lv. 36, Seismitoad Lv. 44, Krookodile Lv. 44, Excadrill Lv. 45

    Final update for Johto-Kanto!

    vs Kanto Gyms:
    Spoiler:

-Over-leveled, aren't they? It just happened that when capturing some of those fat, egg-like nurses; one came with a Lucky Egg. Sweet!
-Gathered all Gym Leaders' numbers and feed them to my servants. Honestly, they are much better as pet food than Gym Leader.
-Forgot to take a screenshot of the tag-team battle vs the two caped idiots. Anyway, I won (because Blitz' idiot slaves were all knocked out and left me to sweep the trash).

    vs Elite Four:
    Spoiler:

    vs Rival:
    Spoiler:

    vs Ultimate Boss (aka Red):
    Spoiler:

    picture.php

    The real end.

    Baron's Great Servants of Honor:
    Spoiler:

Now, will I be required to do another travelogue in Hoenn or my earlier travel will suffice? I had already done a Steel Monotype in Emerald before I saw this thread and I only wished to be allowed to expand it into an UMC.

  • @BaroNight

Maybe if you just post your team information and important stuff about the Steel Monotype in Hoenn then I think it'll be fine. But I don't make the rules, so I might be wrong.

Well, I beat one more gym in each game (2 In HeartGold) so after beating Giovanni, I think it's about time to post my team.

Important Things to Note: Not much, I did the small 1-3 Islands quest. I beat the Trainers between Cinnabar and Pallet. Ashe almost Solo'd Giovanni's team, but I used Dig against his last Rhyhorn and Earthquake took me out. Flare then used Bite twice and won the Earth Badge for me.

    Team:
    Spr_3f_006.png

    CHARIZARD [Flame] Lv55
    Naive Nature @None
    -Fly
    -Brick Break
    -Flamethrower
    -Earthquake
    Spr_3f_059.png

    ARCANINE [Ashe] Lv54
    Bold Nature @None
    -ExtremeSpeed
    -Dig
    -Aerial Ace
    -Flame Wheel
    Spr_3f_136.png

    FLAREON [Flare] Lv54
    Quirky Nature @None
    -Bite
    -Flamethrower
    -Secret Power
    -Fire Blast

My (Disabled) Signature has smaller versions of the teams I have for each Game, if you want to see that instead of bigger versions of the teams.

  • A small update of my StormSilver, Fighting-Monotype Challenge

Defeated Elder Li in Sprout Tower
Thought I could take on Falkner too, but I got owned by his Pidgeotto.
I don't come back here untill Makuhita has evolved, two more levels to go.

    EDIT:

Trained Makuhita untill he evolved into Hariyama
Went back to see Falkner again.
Hariyama owned all of his birds by using SmellingSalt and Vital Throw
I think I have had my hardest battle already, so it will be easier from now on.

    My Team
