3rd Gen The unused, unnamed islands in Hoenn

i am trying to find out what the names are for the unused islands in hoenn that arent listed in any context, theres atliest 3 islands a small one far south of evergrand, a large one south of pacifidlog and one east of battle frontier. if anyone can give me any information id appreciate it

also off topic but do you think they will be used for anything in the remakes?

You might get better luck in the ROM Hacking threads. Although as far as I know those islands dont actually exist. It could be just decoration on the map. Use some walk through wall cheats and surf over there.

unlike d/p/p i doubt the whole map is connected in the same way routes and maps are in gen 3, traveling past a boundary in any direction that does not connect with the corresponding areas will most likely not go anywhere and i havent tested it so im not 100% on it, the islands i mentioned do not have any map data this is true. surely they have names this does not include the island southwest of southern island.

Like Anarchist, I also believe that they're there only for decorative purposes. Without them, the map would look sort of dull and empty, sadly.

I'm surprised that some of them even exist because I believe only Faraway Island, Southern Island, and the Battle Frontier Island are on the map and the rest (Birth and Naval Rock) aren't on the map. I checked a hacked version of Emerald where it had all the island accessible and the islands on the map may not have been those 2 event ones, but I definitely remember 2 of them not being on the map.

Maybe they were intended to be used for something, but scrapped and kept as map decoration?

Well, now that we've seen a OR/AS map that seems to show stuff on the islands, maybe, just maybe.....
