  • Titans Chapter 3:

    Divide and Conquer
    Welcome to Chapter Three!

This chapter will be handled a little differently than the last one. The team has been broken up into squads to deal with the emergence of several organized factions of supervillains. The squads are listed below, along with the Villain factions and their related regions. Feel free to discuss which one your squad would like to claim, otherwise I will distribute them randomly.

Once you have selected your enemy faction, your only required objective is to try and stop them. Feel free to flesh out your own character's story, or whatever else you can think of. This chapter is more than just a "beat them up and go to bed" deal.

Important Note: Although your character has been assigned to a group with other teammates, this does not imply that you must joint point with them. While some squads may decide to take on a task together, others might split up, and work separately via individual posts. Either is acceptable. The idea behind squads was to provide players with an easier way interact with their teammates, and encourage the team to spread out more. It was not meant to make posting harder for anyone. That said, if you come across any issues, please contact me.

    New Champion Squads:

    Alpha Squad:
    Kariyai
    Giron
    Quantum

    Beta Squad:
    Renegade
    Shade
    Axel

    Gamma Squad:
    Sea Champion
    Star Gazer
    Deuseas

    Delta Squad:
    Burst
    Smiley
    ---

    Enemy Factions:

The Rippers- Led by the failed reporter Marvin Jackson, also known the The Immortal (link), the Rippers came about when Jackson gained the ability to share a limited amount of his cursed power with others. They serve as his bodyguards, thugs, and and grunts, and can be found doing all kinds of despicable acts in their boss' name. The Immortal wishes to make the rest of the world pay for depriving him of his dreams, and doesn't care who he ends up harming.
    Regions: Mount Cedar, Old Town

Blood Ravens- A group of technology-based villains led by the infamous Crimson Wing. With flight packs, energy weapons, and futuristic technology at their hands, they'll stop at nothing to steal every last valuable resource from Hyperia. Blood Ravens have deep pockets, and will take anything, nailed down or not.
    Regions: Financial District, Downtown

Northland Nightmare- The Playmaster (link) has unleashed his medieval minions upon Hyperia. Knights in armor, dragons, and plenty of other mystical creatures are roaming about causing havoc.
    Regions: Suburbia, Outlands

The Bloodstained Hand- A terrorist group headed by a man known as "Puma" (link), the Bloodstained Hand seeks to right the misguided ways of corrupt society. They wish to provide stability and equality to the city's workings, and are not afraid to use force to do so. They are known for kidnappings, assassinations, and acts of terror.
    Regions: Bayside, Cape Royale

(You are not limited to the region of your enemy faction. Your character may travel anywhere within city limits.)

As you should have noticed, there is another new aspect arriving this chapter. The Hyperia Special Defense Force has sent their own squad of metahumans into the field, hoping to show up and discredit Binary's team. You may remember when a spot in the RP opened up a while back. Well, three individuals emerged from the gauntlet of various SUs sent in, and these three are playing the charcters known as Omega Squad. Congratulations to Legend, Nakuzami, and Shak, our newest cast of Titans!

  • Maiara Rayen Huerta Cheshire ♀ 19
    "Chthonia"

    Appearance:

Light olive skin, dark hair, and a dangerous stare come together to create an exotic and not altogether comforting air when Maiara is present. She's not tall, standing at 5'5" (??cm), but her muscled physique and brutish demeanor can prove an intimidating combination. She's a mixture of Native American and Spanish on her mother's side, and English on her father's. Being raised in the northern forests of America, she's rather pale and has a few different mannerisms of speech, such as not pronouncing the "t" in words such as "mountain." Her sharp Spanish features complement her Native look, and she keeps her long, voluminous hair either down or in a tight braid.

On a more intricate level, she keeps her makeup at a minimum of eyeliner and eye shadow, usually of darker hues. Her nails are long, but neatly filed, and her brilliantly white teeth glisten when she opens her mouth. Her lips are thin and her nose rounded and petite. Her almond eyes are amber in color and are framed by long eyelashes and thick eyebrows. She pays meticulous attention to hygiene, and so her skin is flawless and smooth. Her rounded, detached earlobes are pierced, and her two favorites sets of earrings are a pair of black raven feathers and a serpentine dragon that traces her right ear to the top with wings that spread wide.
    Attire

Her wardrobe consists of various tee shirts and tank tops, denim shorts and cargo pants. She has various colored pairs of converse, athletic shoes, and combat boots. She also enjoys wearing fingerless leather gloves, striped, netted, or laced knee high socks, and an assortment of jewelry. On her right arm she wears a multitude of thin bracelets, and on her left a handcrafted bracelet resembling the golden snitch and deathly hallows from Harry Potter. She has a few necklaces including a dragon's claw and a Mockingjay locket, which doubles as a timepiece. She also has a raven anklet which is visible when she's not wearing long socks or shoes.

Her costume consists of a black visor helmet with built-in communications, black carbon fiber body armor, boots, and fingerless gauntlets. Its constructed in such a way to provide a maximized durability to movement ratio. She usually has her hair in a braid when in full costume.

    Personality

Incredibly kind, exceedingly compassionate, obnoxiously charismatic, and endlessly righteous: these are all traits certainly befitting a hero of grande stature.

Mai is none of these things.

She is, however, outrageously audacious, annoyingly tenacious, poignantly sardonic and ever so graceful in her boorish mannerisms. She's not what one would expect of the typical hero, and it's a wonder she even deigns to fight for the side of "good." She tends to stick to the realms of morally grey, and this can leave her entirely unpredictable even in repeated situations. She's not completely heartless, though it may seem like it at times, but she's certainly no Mother Theresa. She's not much for charity, altruism, or politeness, but at least she can usually be counted on to save innocent lives. Usually.

She adores gemstones, and often strays into the realm of criminals in order to obtain such beauties. Her favorite food is pineapple, and she has an odd fascination with the color chartreuse. To her, rainy days are exhilarating and cats are God's gift to mankind, though she's not much for religion. She hates stupid people, ignorant people, overly cheerful people, deeply morose people, ambivalent people and people who like the color beige; the last one being for no particular reason, as she actually has no problem with the color beige, but people who enjoy it are the scum of the earth. She just dislikes people. Yet, for some unknown reason, she saves them.

Sometimes she thinks that she should get herself a mental evaluation.

If she does come to like a person, which is practically unheard of, she can either become intensely loyal or a bit of a stalker. Usually both. Some wonder whether it's better to be hated or loved by her.

She typically carries herself with more than a little pep in her step, but her bright eyes and broad smiles are typically accompanied by sarcasm and scathing remarks, gleefully delivered. It leaves those on the receiving end rather confused more often than not.

    Powers & Abilities

    Cthonikinesis

Mai wields power over the forces of the Nether; the powers of "Hell," so to speak. Her skills are varied, but this diversity means that she has only a general understanding of each of her powers, and is master of none.

The first subset of her ability is Astral Manipulation. She can project her soul into the world around her, during which time her body is vulnerable, and she can see the spirits of the living and the dead. She can prevent others from utilizing astral energy or she can assist another in projecting their soul. She can communicate and interact directly with the souls of the dead. In a similar vein, when someone is near enough to death, she can apply Death-Force Manipulation to cleave their soul from their mortal frame.

Through Cosmic and Nothingness Manipulation, she can open portals and tears in dimensions through which she can summon meteors and other stellar objects, or she can turn the tear into a black hole, sucking objects into an endless void. She's not really sure what happens to a living being when she brings them into a void, but it is possible for her to enter the void herself and retrieve anything that has been lost. She can also utilize the energy of stars and other celestial objects, focusing it into physical blasts.

The Nether also gives her power over dark elements, which are far more destructive than their natural counterparts. The mixture of darkness with the element allows it to ignore some of its normal limitations, but also makes it harder to control. She can wield black lightning, dark fire, dark water, dark wind, and black earth. Each of these elements have great potential for destruction, and as per her powers, come straight from the Underworld, and so are slightly different than normal dark elements. They focus most on death, poison, and natural disasters.

The final subset is that of Nether Physiology. She can transform her body into the the element of Nether, taking on a wraith-like form. This allows her to move swiftly and deftly through the world, permitting her to access areas others cannot. By spreading out in this smokey form, she can seep through the cracks of doors and buildings.
    Strengths

The forces of Aether and Nether are the main components of the Universe, and work to keep it in balance. Nether is the dark backdrop of the Universe, responsible for expanding it and bringing destruction to balance the creations of Aether. Mai's strength comes through this destruction and the many ways in which she can employ it. She can destroy most natural elements, including armor and other obstacles, with little proving impenetrable to her abilities.

Her powers over the soul and her Nether Physiology also give her means through which to observe the world around her, spying on others and learning information. Speaking to the dead provides another outlet for gaining information, and together these abilities create a formidable agent of stealth.
    Weaknesses

The forces of destruction are not toys to be played with, and that fact sometimes eludes Mai. A lack of focus or proper intent can cause her abilities to run rampant, destroying everything in their path, including herself. If she fails to keep her powers in check, she will face dire consequences.

Her sensibility to the dead also makes her susceptible to becoming a target for malevolent spirits and other dark beings, and while she can harm them, they can also harm her far more easily than they could a normal human.

When manipulating her soul, her body becomes limp and lifeless, leaving it open to attack. On the other hand, when morphing her body into its Nether form, she's more susceptible to spiritual damages and can be affected by forces that would normally prove no problem for her, such as simple wind. Losing concentration in this state could cause her body to dissipate permanently, and when in an astral form one mistake could lead to her soul being permanently cleaved from her mortal self.

On a more human level, her hotheadedness can lead her into many dangerous situations, and sometimes cause her to ignore her limitations, landing her in dangerous life or death scenarios, occasionally over problems that could be solved much more easily with just a little clarity of mind.

    Origin Story

Six terrible screams rocked her three year old mind.

    He controlled demons.

There was blood everywhere. How was she alive? That was the question that echoed through the town for months after the incident. Why would someone slaughter two young parents and four of their five children, but leave the youngest of the bunch soaking in the blood of her family?

She didn't speak for almost a year after the incident. She could only scream when the nightmares of the demon came, and all she could feel was the cold of that dark abyss that she had been dragged into. She had glimpsed Hell and it had changed her forever. When she finally did speak as she approached her fifth birthday, of course no one believed her when she said they had all been killed by a monster that some man had been commanding. Her three year old mind obviously replaced the image of a terrible human being with that of a monster, because that's what toddlers could comprehend, right?

She didn't make it up. He had come into her home, summoned a demon and directed it to kill her entire family. When it came after her, something happened, dropping her into a dark void that she did not understand. What happened to her in that place was too much for her to handle, so she's subconsciously blocked it from her mind. All she's sure of is that she fell into Hell, and it had somehow imbued her with its essence. When she resurfaced in her home, the man and the demon had gone, but she did not wake from the nightmare. Her constant screaming and crying eventually led to someone investigating the house, finding the mutilated corpses of her parents and siblings. She was stained with blood.

After that, she was sent into foster care. Her father had no siblings and his parents were dead, and her mother was estranged from her family. By the time anyone managed to contact her maternal grandparents and their other children to deliver them the devastating news, Mai had already turned seven and was lost in the system. She was sure they wouldn't have cared enough to come and get her, anyways. They probably hadn't even known she'd existed.

Of course, going through something as horrible as she had, she came out damaged. She acted out and became too much for most families to handle. When someone adopted, they didn't want a broken child. It wasn't their blood to deal with. And when supernatural things sometimes occur around that child, such as random hauntings? Everyone stays away.

By the time she was eleven, she could see where her life was going. She was never going to find a home. So she ran away.

She had always had strange things surrounding her. They began at such a young age that she didn't think much of it, until her abilities began to really develop once she was out on her own. She figured that the effort of having to fend for herself drew them out. Perhaps her fear of and anger at the world around her helped to bring it out further.

Whatever the cause, the little vagabond learned to control her powers over the forces of Nether and use them to continue her dismal existence. She learned how to steal, lie, and cheat her way through most everything, all while carrying the fakest, but convincing, of happy demeanors. She developed a scathing wit as a sort of defense mechanism against outsiders, and she pushed everyone away from her.

Eventually her travels led her to the city of Hyperia. While it wasn't the ideal place to continue her criminal activities, it was an area home to a number of superheroes and other supernatural beings. She wasn't much for heroism, but she needed to find some meaning for her existence.

Somewhere along the line she allowed herself to be corrupted and join the "good" side. Fighting evil and protecting the innocent? Gross, but it was something to do. Besides . . . maybe she could prevent others from falling prey to a life like hers.

Maybe she could find the man that murdered her entire family and respond in kind.

  • Name: Helen Harden/ Overdrive

    Age: 23

Appearance: Helen does not look all that different from your everyday young woman with a generally pleasant demeanor complete with a wide eyed expression. Her height is nothing to gawk at, standing only a little higher that 5'5, and she never really bothers to weigh herself, being constantly on the move as it is. With a fairly slim yet athletic build, Helen comes off as someone with fantastic genetics, especially considering he choice of diet, often seen munching on some piece of junk food. Aside from this, Helen is fairly unremarkable, aside from her long platinum blonde hair that glistens into silver in certain light. Bright blue eyes peer through the strands of hair that brush across her face. She generally tries to keep the hair out of her gentle facial features by tying her long hair back in a ponytail, minimizing any distractions and/or frustrations that could result from a wandering piece of hair.

Attire: Helen does not dress to impress, unless she absolutely has to. In most casual settings, Helen prefers function or comfort over form or style. This includes usually wearing jeans and a t-shirt, usually with some graphic design or something along those lines to offer some character. The occasional ear or nose piercing will accompany the outfit if nothing more to display some originality. She is also fond of wearing hoodies or anything else of that kind, hardly investing in dresses aside from the infrequent formal gathering. However, as a professional, Helen does dress up. Working her way up from a struggling internship on at a local paper, Helen is an rookie journalist and subsequently wears business attire when required, investing in women's suits and some formal dresses to look presentable.

When she is out trying to save the day, Helen wears a spandex suit very similar to the one below, one that she may or may not have illegally acquired:
    5qXvfRR.jpg

Personality: Helen is a difficult individual to adequately describe. Despite not having the best of childhoods and experienced more than her fair share of struggles when growing up, Helen is surprisingly optimistic, easy-going and fun-loving. She does not appear to take life, or anything really, seriously having adopted an attitude of going with the flow. Challenges to her are nothing to stress over, and for the most part Helen adapts well to most situations. It seems that by not caring about much that, she has learned how to keep things generally in order. Guided by a well meaning heart and some semblance of determination, Helen does her best to do the right thing, even if she has a poor way about going about it from time to time.

With this being said, Helen does not necessarily come off that way. In fact, that would underplaying much of her personality. Helen's optimistic nature has developed to the point of being naive, almost excessively so. She almost refuses to admit the bad side of anything, as if it reminds her of something she would rather forget. Additionally, she does not see her own faults or mistakes particularly well, making the phrase "I'm sorry" a novelty when she says it. She may be easy going, but it also means she hardly, as mentioned before, takes anything seriously. Pranks, jokes, cheeky one liners and snide remarks are all too common when interacting with the young woman. She enjoys demeaning others with the best intentions, having developed a perverse and immature sense of humor. While this could be mistaken for poor social skills, Helen is very outgoing, but just handles herself in an eccentric manner. Those who have known her for a long time have gotten used to Helen's unique means of interaction, but she can rub new friends the wrong way unintentionally. This seeps into her fun loving nature, more or less snowballing in Helen's fondness of partying, hanging out and simply enjoying life, having caused her to be somewhat irresponsible, unless the situation truly calls for her to stop messing around.

In summary, Helen is a young woman who is still coming into her own. While she means well, she performs poorly, and refuses to admit her faults unless something truly terrible happened. Despite being an effective adult, Helen is more a of child or a teenager who needs to grow up a lot more, but despite this displays the resolve to adapt very well.

Oh, and she is random, hyperactive and borderline insane, lacking any sense of self control and restraint. That is probably the first thing you would actually notice.

Powers/abilities/weapons/etc: Helen's abilities are multifaceted, having completely reworked her physiology, having effected her physically, mentality, and to a certain extent emotionally. While it is difficult to strike at the core of her abilities, Helen's wide skill set is generally easy to break down regardless:

Enhanced Speed: Helen has the ability to move at superhuman speeds, easily eclipsing the speed of sound. While she is not aware of her top speed, she hazards a guess that she could easily go beyond that if she obtained more control and experience. As her speed has developed over time, her body has adapted to the forces that act on her body due to moving at this unnatural rate, having acquired adaption to the gravitational forces that act on her body and being gifted with a resistance to the ridiculous amounts of friction that she and her clothes have to endure, seemingly coated in an aura that further reduces the friction. Helen is able to localize her super speed to different parts of her body to the molecular level, and can, in theory, vibrate her body through physical objects given further training.

Accelerated Metabolism: A possible underlying explanation for Helen's super speed is her ridiculously accelerated metabolism, which has been supercharged to the fullest. This makes Helen resistant to weight gain, disease, injury, as well as increasing her ability to recover from anything. It must be noted that this does not act as a healing factor and simply increased healing speed (such as a few days to fix a broken bone rather than weeks). Additionally, Helen must eat a larger amount of food to maintain this accelerated bodily functions.

Accelerated Perception, Thought Process, and Reflexes: Imagine trying to move at super speed with the current human brain? Impossible. Helen's body has adapted to solve that oversight. In essence, Helen is capable to perceiving and responding to any form of stimuli at a far faster and more efficient rate, capable of adapting, learning and responding at incredible speeds. In as few words as possible, Helen can think, learn and react faster at superhuman levels. However, this does not mean she is super intelligent, as Helen is still limited by her own, a bit average, intelligence.

Enhanced Endurance and Stamina: In summary, Helen does not get tired very easily, as her body has adapted to her incredible speeds over the years of possessing this ability. She is capable of being active for extended periods of time without even thinking of getting exhausted. However, this works in conjunction with her metabolism, meaning that if she is not properly maintaining her nutrition her stamina will drain.

    Strengths:

Innate capabilities of Super Speed: Simply put, Helen's power is not reliant on manipulation or any augmentation, and is a superpower completely ingrained in her physiology. It can be called upon at any moment and its only true limitation is Helen's own individual capabilities.

Creative and nearly complete understanding of abilities: Having experimented for some time with her abilities, Helen has a better solid grasp on the extent of her abilities, including her capabilities and limits. As a result, Helen has conceived some pretty unique applications of her abilities and due to her...eccentric dispoisition, is more than willing to experiment further to find any new applications. This allows her to push super speed to its limits.

Rudimentary understanding of physics and other sciences: Thanks to her accelerated learning, Helen has acquired a rudimentary understanding of most sciences, allowing her to understand and implement scientific thought into the application of her abilities.

    Weaknesses:

Damaged psyche: Helen is....well, she is not all there. Born with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), one can imagine the effects of having a super power put everything into overdrive. Combine that with being thrown between asylums and hospitals for the better part of five years and all the medications and wrong treatments have had a traumatic effect on Helen's mind. While Helen is not explicitly insane, her psyche is best described as erratic or unstable, most commonly interpreted as possibly having mild schizophrenia. Luckily, Helen's delusions are mostly innocent and mostly contribute to her randomness rather than violent outbursts or anything of that nature.

Easily distracted: Give a person with ADHD super speed and you can imagine the results. Her power allows her to pursue any distraction and only feeds the disorder. Couple that with her tendency to be easily bored and it is not a good recipe.

Mediocre fighting capabilities: Lacking any formal training in martial arts, Helen is not the best fighter. While capable against any untrained opponent, any honed fighter can defeat her in a fair one on one fight. This makes Helen extremely dependent on her abilities.

    Origin Story (history):

So you want an origin story, eh? I suppose I can't really blame you. After all, I am pretty interesting. AndIhavethecoolestsuperpowerthatallowsmetodovirtuallyeverythinginablinkoftheeye. Oh, right, right. You probably didn't catch that. That's okay. I'll speak slower. And I should probably get to the point shouldn't I?

My name is Helen Harden. I'm an only child, born to the lovely Hank Harden and Christie Harden. They were pretty young when they had me, but that's what you get when you are not the most responsible of parents. Needless to say, they matured pretty damn fast after I was born. They kind of had to all things considered. Life wasn't easy in Suburia for them the first couple years I was around, but fortunately my dad finished college and got a pretty nice job working in some research lab or something, trying to create fancy cures for all kinds of disorders. Now for a while, it was kind of a "show up, do your stuff, leave" kind of job for my dad. I guess you could say he wasn't all that motivated or something. Not I blame the guy, staring down microscopes all day would be pretty boring to me too! Or would it? I'm not sure. I guess if the money is good. Oh sorry, I got distracted again thinking about kittens.

But all of that changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Okay, fine, I'll be serious for a little. It actually changed when I was just starting school and I started showing symptoms of ADHD. The stuff isn't fun, at least it wasn't for my parents. My father got a whole lot more motivated in his research, hoping to find a cure, or at least a halfway decent treatment for my ADHD. In the meantime, I was drugged up to high heaven. It wasn't too much fun either being all dependent on the stuff, but it worked well enough to keep focused for a little while.

A number of years passed. About 6 or so to be precise. I think. I don't really know. I hate math. Makes my thinker box hurt. It was "Bring your daughter to work day!" So my father wanted to show all the cool stuff he was doing and how he was doing everything for me. It was sweet really. I kind of felt bad for wandering off during his lunch break when I look back. If it wasn't for my curiosity egging on all the problems in my head, I probably would of stuck at his side and not being here answering this question.

Anyway, the wandering is important because of what actually happened. I walked up to my dad's floor and just starting going through the different doors to stare at all the different equipment. I soon found myself in some strange room. It was all electronic looking, like a giant tube or something. I don't really remember a lot of details, but basically I found a bunch of buttons and my dumb 12 year old self slammed all of them. A massive power surge flowed through the tube and the next thing I know I was in a hospital bed, flashing forward about 5 days into the future.

From I was told, gathered and kind of guessed on, the tube was some molecule accelerator thing that was used by a different department that happened to be on my dad's floor. I turned it on and somehow did not implode. In fact, medically, the doctor's were perplexed about what actually happened to my body. I was in a coma yet all my body systems were functioning at like 200% or something. My metabolism was unreal and I was processing everything many times faster than anything they have ever seen. I woke up with seemingly no ill effects...well until all my mental disorders acted up in overdrive.

The doctors attempted to treat me with meds, like they always do. Most didn't work because everything flushed through my system like water through a hose. It was really annoying and I swear I consumed more drugs than a meth addict who inherited Microsoft. And not the fun type of drugs either. In due time, the doctors all but gave up, referring my supercharged ass to some treatment asylum that specialized in mental disorders.

You see, my accident essentially threw my brain for a real ride, with electrical impulses overloading my body. So my ADHD was the most advanced case ever. My overloaded brain struggled to handle everything so other disorders were beginning to crop up too. The docs at the new place basically did the same thing. Diagnose one problem. Drug me up. Find another one (or a new one if it was Tuesday) and drug me up. It was a vicious cycle. None of it really worked, if I am going to be honest with you.

You know what did? Growing up and running. You see, while the doctors picked each other's brains looking for some secret underlying cause, the insane chick right here figured it out! Well, at least I kind of did. When I was about 16...yeah thereabouts, I started realizing that reading (for my "homeschooling" that was done in the confines of the facility) was becoming really easy. Like I read a book in a matter of minutes rather than hours or days. It was strange. But then I started noticing that I could everything a lot faster. Reading, writing, reacting, thinking. Running. Oh yeah, that was the one that made everything real fun.

As this was happening, a lot of my problems began to slowly get under control. I put an emphasis on slowly. It was like my body needed to adapt ever so slowly. In due time, I was able to become well enough to check out when I was 18 years old. Shortly after that, I made my way to college, pursuing a degree in English and Journalism. Why? Well, I could read and write really fast that the homework didn't have the opportunity to bore me. I managed to score an internship at one of the local papers here in Hyperia that later hired me when I graduated, giving me enough of an income to move out and be my own lady.

A lady that happens to have superpowers. It's pretty fun.

    Name: Harper Burton
    Alias: Spectrum
    Age: 18
    Appearance & Attire:
She stands at about 5'4" and has a slender figure. She has apparent curves, but not prominent or eye catching.
    Spoiler:

She tends to prefer woolly jumpers and hoodies that are a couple sizes too large. Her favourite colour is teal(Which ironically enough is not on the rainbow) so she often prefers a teal jumper/hoodie. She wear this with legging, often black, and pumps that match the colour of her hoodie/jumper.
Hoodie. (The jumper would be similar to the one she wears in the image)
    Spoiler:

    Spoiler:

    Spoiler:

Personality & Background: Harper is a generous girl. She is very trusting, and quick to forgive those who have wronged her. She is naturally shy, and often quiet around new people. Her proneness to become quiet around new people could also be attributed to her fear of authority. She is reluctant to take charge of a situation, and will often fall to the background in serious group conversations.
Neatness, organisation and discipline. These are three of the natural instincts that have been instilled into her, from her family life in suburbia. More often than not, she feels inclined to follow authority and not stray too far from the rules. Though she is still intelligent enough to use her initiative when the time calls for it. She loves art, and is very crafty and resourceful as a result.

Her life was incredibly normal. She spent the majority of her life scrolling through social media, hanging out with friends and drawing. She began to realise her talent for drawing and began to sell them on-line. As her paintings and drawings grew more popular, she started taking requests and eventually came across a customer who wanted to pay her to continually to draw. She was reluctant at first, but when she was told how much she would be paid she accepted.
Upon arriving for her first day, the customer suggested she draw, whatever she felt like drawing. She was confused, but complied and drew a rainbow. The customer suggested she make the rainbow a little more literal depiction of its name. After a few moments of thought she drew a self-portrait with a bow in her hair.
Disgusted by her cutesy nature the customer stepped up, and took on the canvas them self. The drawing came out as a portrait of Harper holding a rainbow as an archer would a bow.
The rest is irrelevant because I'm accepted now :P
    Doofy knows
Doofy calm down I'll legit finish this when I get to a secure location with internet

    Powers/Abilities:
Harper is able to create a bow using light. As long as she has a light source, her power can work. This means that she cannot conjure the bow in total darkness, but it also gets stronger, the more natural light that is shining.
Her bow has 7 different abilities, one for each colour:
    RED-Direct Harm
    ORANGE-Creates Shield
    YELLOW- Illusions
GREEN-Teleportation (Allows her to teleport to where the arrow lands)
    BLUE- Healing
    INDIGO- Poisons
    VIOLET-Reflects/refracts light (Invisibility)

Each colour is connected to a different emotion, and are strengthened if she is feeling the emotion at the time of use.
    Spoiler:

    Strengths:
-She is crafty and resourceful, she uses this to her advantage in sticky situations
-Her generosity is often remembered by those she meets and her compassion makes her the ideal person to talk to when you're down
-She excels at ranged combat. Her bow is a very powerful weapon.
-Versatility. Her Bow has many different capabilities, some of which she's yet to discover.
    Weaknesses:
-Her small and slender figure means that she isn't particularly strong or quick. Though she excels at ranged combat, she'd be pretty useless in a fistfight
-Her trusting and kind nature is often taken advantage of by others
-Her crippling shyness will means she'll often lose an argument with some one who speaks with more conviction. Even if she knows she's right. It also means she is reluctant to take charge of situations.
-The Darkness. She cant use her power in complete darkness.
    Roleplay Samples:
    My very first IC post
I'd call it nostalgic, but it was only last month

  • I have no objections to Gamma Squad taking on Northland Nightmare. Considering two of our three members wear armor (and both blue, how bizarre...) we fit thematically. We need to get Deuseas some armor!

  • Just in case anyone was wondering, Gamma Squad's choice of Northland Nightmare is confirmed, meaning that Beta will take The Rippers.

Also, due to Mana's departure, Ozymandias' "Abraxas" is accepted and will take the former's spot on Alpha Squad.

    Spoiler:

I apologize for things moving slowly on my part, and I hope you all are working on some great posts :)

Also, if your situation has changed and you can no longer participate in the RP, please let me know. I definitely appreciate the heads-up.
