I just saw the new episode! I loved it so much, nothing happened like I expected :3.

Episode 24 was a bit meh. I expected drama about love triangle, but they resolved the stuff for like 10 mins. And they're dating? in the middle of the episode? and they are married? in the last episode!?

The subs were horrible, I didn't understand what they were saying at some points. I can't understand why Ryuuji would just suddenly fall in love with Taiga just because she accidentally confessed to him on the trip, I mean Minori is the one he always liked right? :[ Btw the opening song rocks. Minori was shouting to Taiga and confessed that she liked Ryuuji all along, but the bad thing was Ryuuji was like 8-| and didn't have much reaction x_x.

I don't think I'm that excited for the last episode, since this episode was ridiculous and the ending was like kinda rushed... -_-

HOLY SHIZZZ...god, very few anime, after watching an episode, makes me feel (for lack of a better term) refreshed....god, i wish every anime had an episode like this....ep 24 had SOOO much happen instead of just beating around the bush and stall, the writers threw everything on the table and said "lets end with a bang" and damn do they deliver

Oh my god this episode nearly makes me want to drop the series. :| The only reason I'm not is because: A) there's only one episode left and it would be stupid to drop now, and B) there's still some chance they can fix this in the last episode?

But honestly, I thought this episode was just ridiculous. Too much happened in too little time. That kind of thing works sometimes but I didn't feel it worked here. Instead of giving proper closure to each part of this episode, they just rushed through all of it. Honestly I thought the only tasteful part was near the beginning when Minori and Takasu were talking. When she gently punches his mouth in jest and then after she cheers him off, brings her fist to her mouth? :( That was honestly the most touching part of the episode for me. The rest was just too out there and ridiculous and rushed. I guess it kind of makes sense that all this happened in one episode since it might symbolize how decisions that are made quickly with no time to think them over are stupid but... honestly? I just hate this direction.

Takasu saying all those things to his mom... I suppose I can see it happening by accident--keeping all those things pent up. But he still never seemed like that kind of person to me. And that just happened so fast that instead of seeming planned out and as a natural plot development, the whole mothers thing just felt so, so forced. Like they were only there out of necessity to rush the plot forward. There was so little background and lead-up, honestly.

Anyway, the biggest thing that pissed me off was the proposal. I was discussing this with some people yesterday after I watched the episode and I basically got "where's your sense of romance!?" from them. Um. Romantic? This? Really? :| I dunno, I've always been a sucker for romance, especially that sappy shoujo stuff and I just really, really disliked this turn.

What bothers me the most about it is that no one seemed overly surprised by it. Takasu came up with it and isn't having second thoughts (from what I can tell). Taiga who wanted to fall in love with someone naturally seems to have no qualms just up and running away and getting married when they more or less only confessed to each other not 10 minutes before. And Minori, Ami, and Kitamura? I know they didn't agree with it but wooow supporting it anyway? ._. Even Ami helps them run away? I'll only be content with the last episode if she admits that she knew they wouldn't even get that far and that's why she helped out. Honestly, that's terrible friendship lmao.

I dunno. Maybe I'm jaded and too realistic but I just HATED that episode. Too many hasty, stupid decisions and too much happened. With only one episode left to wrap up and explain the latest episode, I fear there's not going to be enough time to fix everything from episode 24 AND give the series and all its subplots a proper closure. I'm waiting on the last episode to rate the whole series over on MAL but this might honestly drop it from an 8 or a 9 to a 6 or 7. I hope the last episode makes up for it though.

would you rather have an episode with a lot of stuff going on or would you like an episode where nothing happens (the most recent one I watched was suzuka where out of the 26 episode series, only 5 were needed)

i agree with it being rushed, and all that happened was pretty rash, but with one episode left and all the dawdling, they needed to do something, i think it is pretty good

I'd rather they balance it out; cramming too much in or having nothing happen at all is just evidence of bad writing, imo.

I must agree with Lightning. Although I hate filler episodes which end up being absolutely pointless (like how almost every anime has a beach episode), rushing through material isn't that good.

Especially when they've condensed it so much that they run from a confession to proposal within such a short space of time. Supposedly there was also meant to be a kiss scene on the bridge top between Ryuuji and Taiga in the original light novels, but that was taken out as well.
For me, the episode was a bit too unrealistic. They could have spawned this over 2 episodes instead which would probably have made it slightly more bearable for me. I'm really hoping J.C. Staff finishes the series off strongly and not leave us with something inconclusive (like Shana II - but there's a sequel coming).

No. :( As a great series that I've looked forward to watching every week for months, to see an ending that looks so thrown together like this really bothers me. I have hiiiigh expectations for next week and if not I'll be really disappointed because EVERYTHING ELSE about this anime was so top-knotch.

come on, when you think about it, its not a big deal, hell, im not bothered by it at all....just like when i got one of my friends to read watchmen and they called it "rushed at the end"...i was like, who cares? unless they make a cliffhanger ending, i really couldnt care less

Come on, he actually always (or at least since like the middle of the series) liked her, he just didn't realise it until she accidentally confessed.
