  • Any genre that you stay away from? Any specific studio whose works you just ignore? Any specific demographic from which any show you just refuse to watch? Can be anything and for whatever reason. Like, for example, I've met many who stay away from mecha. For some reason the genre is a total turn-off for a lot of people I know. A lot of people also hate moeblobs. They find them a total waste of time.

Is that the case with you?

I don't enjoy watching those type of shows where you have a bunch of girls hanging out with 1 guy and the 1 guy is afraid of those girls. Like man up and pick one. >___>

I also don't like watching shojo or seinen, I prefer shonen series. I absolutely love comedic martial arts anime/manga with superpowers lol.

I hate zombie apocalypse in any media so I stay away from those type of anime/manga. I don't enjoy mecha as well.

Kyoto... Key... almost anything labelled as "slice of life"

I don't look to anime for realism. Which it never is anyway, just nearly always some strangely distorted parody of reality through the eyes of a virgin school boy.

Realism in slice of life? Come again? =D
Where do you find Cute Girls Doing Cute Things in the RW?

There's only one thing I can't stand. Shounen-ai and Yaoi. I somehow tolerate shounen-ai if it's only as subplot (Loveless, Shinsekai Yori) but not if it's the main thing (Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Boku no Pico).

  • Um... mecha and shoujo. Oh, and I also tend to stay away from Slice of Life which is basically cute high school girls doing random things. My friend and my brother isn't helping me avoiding them at all.

Oh, and anything blood-happy, unless if it's in black and white, 'cause I can't stand the color of blood. X.X

I'd takes shounen-ai and yaoi any day rather than watching those

  • I'm done with Shoujo now. It's just pretty people going to school and fawning over other pretty people. I also started avoiding video game animes (Sword Art Online, that means you) and pure Martial Arts animes.

Harems, over the top fan-service, I never really got into any mecha outside of Zoids, and yuri/yaoi and whatever other anime porn there is. Something about cartoon characters being explicit is just... urgh. Unless it's part of the story or part of a developed relationship or something. I dunno, I like my romance to be really innocent when it comes to anime. My guilty pleasure is shoujo.

  • HAREMS. The "Which person are they going to end up with" thing just annoys me. The only harem series I actually enjoyed was Ouran High School Host Club, and that's only because it was clear which guy Haruhi was going to be with : P

I tend to also stay away from mecha stuff...dunno why, it just isn't my cup of tea.

Shoujo used to be my thing, but I've gotten pretty tired of all the cliche females fawning over bishies. Now I just look for my bishies in shounen series ^ ^

  • I usually stay away from anything that's gory or horror related. I can't stand it in live action, so I also can't stand it in anime either. Other than that though, I don't really mind watching anime that has a little blood or what not. I also don't care much for yuri either, but that's just because it's weird to me. Mind you, I love people who are gay and what not. So, I have no problem with them being together. I also don't like anything that's got a lot of sex on it either. It's something I'm not all that comfortable with and never have been. I have watched Cowboy Bebop before, which was actually a good series considering the movies are rated R.

  • Shojo is just boring for me, lol. I just find the plot kinda bland and too simple. I prefer action and horror.

  • sarcasm too stronk-desuyo!!!11!

that scene makes me want to finally start watching utena btw. haven't started it even though i have it in my hdd.

stuff I stay away from? Apart from yaoi, hmm, I kind of dislike moeblobs with cute-girls-doing-cute-things. I just don't see the point. I'm okay with slice-of-life shows that actually go somewhere - like Barakamon for instance, but I don't think I'll ever be able to get into K-On! and the like.

  • I can handle some shounen-ai and yaoi to an extent, since I used to be pretty into that stuff a long time ago. I've long since fell out of that phase though.

Moe stuff like Lucky Star and K-ON are just one of those things that you either love or hate. I tend to stay away from it since it's a little too cutesy for me, but it does have a large fanbase.

I can see that Satoshi is a fan ^ ^
