Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ground).

Update #3 on Black.

• Got through Victory Road. Iron Giant and Resonator were at L50, Rock Star and Driller at L51.
• Beat the Elite Four. Iron Giant did the most work, Driller the least (never used her, lol).
• Caitlin was the only one soloed, though (with Iron Giant's Shadow Punch).
• Caught Reshiram, then beat N and Ghetsis (the latter with a few Max Revives).
• The credits rolled, and I saved at home.

Well, that was fast and sort of easy. Coming up will be the Ultimate Ice Monotype Challenge in Hoenn in Emerald with few newer Pokemon.

I always look ahead to see what Pokemon I have at my disposal. Since I don't tolerate using Pokemon that you have to trade into the game, I have only two Pokemon. One is the Spheal family which I will choose to hack since I cannot trade on an emulator and who appears before the seventh gym. Yikes! The other is the Snorunt family without Froslass for now. This duo team may ought to be interesting.

Should I hack a Snorunt a little after the playtime in the game? I don't intend to break the rules or soloing with one Pokemon.


Time for a Hoenn update.

-Did the beginning-of-the-game stuff.
-Hacked in a male Spheal. Named him Rhym.
-Defeated Aqua Grunt in Petalburg Forest.
-Defeated Roxanne in Rustboro.
-Defeated Aqua Grunt in Rusturf Tunnel.
-Defeated Brawly in Dewford with successive Ice Ball.
-Deliveries are a made in Dewford and Slateport.
-Defeated Team Aqua in Slateport Museum.
-Made it to Mauville.

I still am trying to survive with only Rhym but this involves my starter, Treecko to be involved in double battles. I'm not sure but I should hack Snorunt kind of early but that's against the rules so probably not.

-Defeated Team Magma at Mt. Chimney.

-Defeated Norman in Petalburg.
-Obtained HM Surf.
-Defeated Team Aqua in the Weather Institute.
-Obtained Fly from May.
-Defeated Winona in Fortree.
-Made it to Lilycove and defeated May.
-Defeated Team Magma in the Jagged Pass.
-Defeated Team Aqua in Lilycove.
-Caught Snorunt in Shoal Cave (finally!). Named him Glass.

As you can see I'm approaching the end quite rapidly so I wouldn't be surprised to be finished soon. Too bad I'm going to be busy most or the entire weekend. Nonetheless, I have done well in this Ultimate Ice Monotype.

• First thing I did was to get the mass outbreak to Route 4, and caught Warthog the Hippopotas (Halo reference, anyone?).
• Focusing on leveling my other four party members, I explored Relic Castle and then Giant Chasm, ending up in Undella Town.
• Currently saved in Undella. Eastern Unova is halfway done!

POKEMON LEAF GREEN UPDATE #1:

Some old dude wanted my name, so I gave it to him. John, oh, can't believe he fell for it. So then he shrunk me down--which totally pissed me off--and sent me to my room. I thought only my mommy had jurisdiction over where I am? So then I went downstairs, punched my so-called "mom" in the face, and went up toward Route 1. Oh, look who it is; Mini-Molester! He grabbed my hand--eww--and walked me to his laboratory. He showed me his grandson and then gave me a Houndour. Oh, how nice of him. I still ran out of there, screaming for my life, when Mini-Molester III comes and asks me to battle him. Ah, what the heck. I beat him, anyway, but my freaking Houndour is so slow to level up.

I got out of town and went along Route 1 to Viridian City. Some psycho was blocking the way, so I made do to go to the Pokemon Mart. I wanted to buy a Potion, but the clerk gave me a box to give to Profess--I mean Mini-Molester and shooed me from the store. Not a very nice man, if you ask me. So I went to Pallet Town, delivered the package, and got five red balls and a weird red thingamajigger-lookin'-bricky thing. I threw them in my backpack and went back to Viridian City. Crazy Old Man was out of the way, and he showed me how to use my red balls Mini-Molester gave me and gave me a Teachy TV. I asked him what it was supposed to teach me, but he just sighed and walked away.

I went to the forest and walked around. Little boys battled me, and I beat their butts so bad. They cried and ran home, but I just kept goin' on with mah Houndour. He was getting pretty strong. I made my way through the forest and went to Viridian City. I headed straight for the gym and totally nailed the Jr. Trainer. Brock wasn't so easy, though. I spent all of my money on Potions, battled his Geodude about five times, then killed both of his Pokemon with annihilating Bites. Brock handed over my Boulder Badge, and I walked away.

Route 3 was a breeze, and then I got to Mt. Moon. That's where I am now, in the Pokemon Center. See ya next time!

Final Update for Ground UMC!

Final Update (#5) on Black.

• After exploring all the accessible areas and training up Warthog, I beat Cheren, Morimoto, and Cynthia (with a couple Max Revives). Driller was the clear MVP in those battles.
• After getting my whole team to L73 (thanks to Rare Candies), I took on the Elite Four.
• Beat them all pretty easily. Shauntal and Marshall gave me the most trouble, and everyone played a role.
• Beat Alder easily as well - they were all OHKOs. Driller swept in the sand with Swords Dance after Warthog took out Accelgor.

• Beat the first gym with Treeko, then caught Stinger the Tentacool (Old Rod) and Count the Zubat (Granite Cave) at Dewford.
• Beat Brawly with difficulty (horrible moves early, Steel Wing was a lifesaver lol).
• Got to Slateport, beat May.
• West of Mauville, I caught Flower the Oddish.
• Trained Flower up, and he evolved into Gloom. Count also evolved into Golbat.
• Beat Wattson with the help of several Soda Pops and Sleep Powder.

Steel UMC Update!!

So many levels have passed since my last update.. Starting from pastoria.. I got fed up with the amount of exp i was getting from the pokemon at that area, so i taught Mantis thief, and went chansey hunting. After about luckily three chanseys, i found a lucky egg. It didn't take long to level up after that. I got all of my pokes to level 40 and challenged Crasher Wake. I beat him easily, not sure with who, but it was fast. I met up with my rival, and then team galactic did something with a bomb.. then i chased the member down and smashed him. Cynthia found me and gave me a secret potion to move the migraine induced psyducks. After i moved them, i made my way to the ruins thingy, where i found a galactic member scoping the ruins. I beat him real fast, then cyrus showed up. I had to show him whos boss, then i got surf, taught it to penguin, and surfed to canalave. i went to iron island and trained with riley until my pokes were at level 50. It only took a few hours, thanks to lucky egg. I beat the galactic members, killing his lucario in the process, and i pass on the rilou egg. Right as i make it back to the city, i challenge the gym. I had penguin spam surf and one hit all of his pokemon. easiest gym. I find my rival, go through the dialogue, and i fly to lake valor. I beat team galactic and fly back to twinleaf to save dawn since she can't handle them.. Train took Mars out single handedly. I made my way to snowpoint city, finding the hm rock climb. After arriving, i begin to grind.

• Count evolved into Crobat in the Petalburg Gym, then I beat Norman with the help of several Super Potions.
• Got Surf for Stinger, and surfed to Slateport. Taught Ice Beam to Stinger and Sludge Bomb to Flower.
• Did New Mauville, then went to Fortree City. Picked up a Leaf Stone, so Flower evolved into Vilplume.
• Beat Winona easily with Stinger, then had Flower relearn Mega Drain.
• Saved on Route 120 to Lilycove City.
