Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Bug).

Started on Silver version.

• After the Mr. Pokemon quest, I caught a Ledyba and named him Boxer.
• Beat the first two gyms with Boxer, then caught a Scyther (later named Mantis) and a Venonat (named Vinny) in the Bug-Catching Contest.
• Beat Whitney, then headed to Ecruteak, where I beat Morty thanks to Hypnosis missing three times in a row.
• Went to Olivine and scaled the Lighthouse.
• Surfed to Cianwood (Vinny evolved into Venemoth) and beat Chuck easily with Mantis's Wing Attack.
• Flew back to Ecruteak and headed to Mahogany Town (I am skipping Jasmine for now), then went to the Lake of Rage.
• Beat Gyarados and talked to Lance.
• Saved at the entrance to the Hideout.

I've beaten Byron and Candice, and im currently infiltrating Team Galactic. Somewhere between these events, ive decided to use a Gastrodon called Mudman instead of Nipsy, with is now my reserve (Attract may still come handy, but i won't grind it anymore)

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Bug).

Update #2 on Silver.

• Beat the Hideout in Mahogany easily.
• Beat Pryce and Jasmine.
• Radio Tower was cleared and Team Rocket vanquished.
• Got to Blackthorn, and beat Clair easily (sweep with Vinny - Sleep Powder + Hidden Power Ice).
• Got through Victory Road and beat Frank again.
• Beat the Elite Four and Lance to become Champion!

Boxer ThunderPunched Gyarados and Ice Punched the two L47 Dragonite before falling to Aerodactyl. Vinny put Aerodactyl to sleep, then 2HKOed with Hidden Power Ice. Charizard then finished Vinny with Flamethrower after a Sludge Bomb. Mantis came in and finished Charizard with Return, then 3HKOed the final Dragonite with Return/Wing Attack to win!

I am on my way to Kanto now.

-Trained in the Desert and went to Nimbasa City.
-Explored around and trained outside of town.
-Sandy evolved into Krokorok
-Challenged the local Gym and beat Elesa, with Sandy sweeping through her team and Drillbit helping in the end since Sandy has no strong Ground-Type moves and I wanted to level up Drillbit a little bit.
-Beat Cheren in Route 5 and crossed the Driftveil Drawbridge (and got scolded by Clay because of it)

Final Update (#3) on Silver.

• Sped through Kanto, defeating all the gym leaders pretty easily. Blue gave me the most trouble.
• Got everyone to L63, then found Red in Silver Cave and defeated him!

So, since B&W are out, I decided to -finish- the Ultimate Monotype Bug Challenge with the 5th generation, as well, I already did the first 4 :D

Unfortunately, the first bug type available is after you defeat Lenora... So well, stuck with my starter until then. And only my starter XD (I will even take a screenshot after beating Lenora of only having one Pokemon obtained :D) I chose Snivy as a Grass Snake is closer to a bug than a Water Otter or Fire Pig. :P

So, let the fun begin! XD

Tip: Striaton gym is EXTREMELY HARD with just your starter... I had 6 growths up, and still only managed to put half damage onto his Pansear. Then with a Work Up Incinerate, he took out 20 of my health, and was faster than me. >_< (The fight went Pansear used Work Up! Snivy used Tackle! (Pansear down to ~45%) Pansear used Incenerate! (Snivy down to 8 health [leveled up, hence the 10 health in the image]) Snivy used Tackle! Pansear fainted! Fyn defeated Gym Leader Chili!)

Tony's Log #5: Highest Trails Above

Spoiler:

-Went to Cold Storage and defeated Team Plasma. Clay caught them but let them go.
-Swept through Clay's Gym with Todd.
-Went through Route 6 and Todd evolved.
-Clay cleared the entrance of Chargestone Cave and gave me a TM.
-Prof. Juniper gave me a Lucky Egg and I was assaulted by N and the Shadow Triad a couple times.
-Defeated N and got to Mistralton City.
-Went through Route 7 and cleared the Celestial Tower to make Skyla return to the Gym. Sandy evolved.
-Swept through her Gym using Todd, and was confronted by N as I got out of there, but we didn't battle.
-Defeated Cheren near Twist Mountain and got HM Surf from Alder.
-Met Clay at the cave there and now I'm in some sort of chasm.

Tony's Log #6: Looking for Zekrom, Part 1

-Went through the chasm and reached Icirrus City.
-Defeated the Gym, and went with the Gym Leader and CHeren into Dragonspiral Tower.
-Caught Golett, named it Mech.
-Swept the floor with the Plasma Grunts and reached the top.
-Saw N with Reshiram and was told to get Zekrom.
-Got to Opelucid City and met Ghetsis twice.
-Trained around Route 9. Mech evolved.
-Defeated Iris and got my last badge.
-Got Master Ball from Prof. Juniper.
-About to go into Route 10.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Bug).

Started Sapphire this morning.

Name: Archie
Starter: Treeko

• After I got Pokeballs, I searched for a long while (although not as long as I thought I would) on Rt. 102 for Surskit (1% chance), and found one at only 1:00 game play time.
• Named her Rain. She has a Lax nature, which isn't the best, but I got a Surskit!!! so I'm not complaining lol.
• Went through Petalburg forest and caught a Nincada named Speedy up north.
• Rain beat Roxanne with difficulty, I had to luck out with Nosepass and Geodude using Defense Curl/Harden instead of attacking.
• Saved Peeko and caught a ride to Dewford.
• Beat Brawly, again with difficulty, I had to beat Machop without damagin Rain (Sand-Attacked with Speedy), then was able to take on Makuhita.
• Delivered Steven's Letter, then headed to Slateport to deliver the Devon Goods.
• After I did that, I headed to Mauville, beating May along the way with the help of some Soda Pops.
• Trained up Rain to L26 so she could learn Bubblebeam, then she evolved into Masquerain.
• Wattson was hard as well, I had to sacrifice Speedy to heal Rain, who was then able to take a Sonicboom and Shock Wave while 3HKOing Magneton with Bubblebeam.
• Headed north through the Fiery Path to Fallarbor Town. Speedy finally evolved into Ninjask.
• Went to Meteor Falls and saw the Meteorite get stolen.
• Saved in Rustboro.

Tony's Log #7: Looking for Zekrom, Part 2

-Defeated Cheren on Route 10.
-Went through Victory Road and entered the Pokémon League.
-Defeated the Elite 4 with ease, making my whole party gain a couple of levels.
-Went on to challenge the Champion, but N and Reshiram beat me to it.
-Somehow a big castle appeared from under the ground and I entered it.
-Reached N's room and caught Zekrom.
-Battled N and won. It was tough.
-Ghetsis scolded N and told everyone the truth.
-Defeated Ghetsis and went back home.

Blissy's Normal Ultimate Monotype Challenge! - Yellow Version
Chapter 3 - Ownage Not Included!​

Now that I have the Boulder Badge, I can continue on to Route 4, where the path to Mt. Moon awaits me. Trainers...prepare to get owned! A couple of good things popped up on my way to Route 4. First, OJ learned Quick Attack. Second, I caught a Spearow, and named him Baccio. The reason why I'm giving my pokemon such unusual names will be explained later. I'll train up Baccio a little, then enter Mt. Moon.

Mt. Moon...the very first cave dungeon in the game. Beyond it lies the next area, so let's do this! Only about a minute in, I find TM12. Looks like Magic is getting it. Anyway, moving on....wait, a really suspisous type guy. Gasp! It's Team Rocket! He must DAI! Anyway...he gets owned. Moving on...again. In a room with a Rocket, I got TM01 and an Ether. Useful for later. Moving on once more...to a nerd with two fossils. He must DAI! I'll think of him as training. Ok...he got owned, so he's giving me a fossil. I picked Dome, so on with the show. Wait...one more Rocket. Holy shiz, it's Jessie and James from the anime! They got owned anyway, so now...time for freedom from Mt. Moon.


Freedom at last! Finally! Now...let's go. Here we are in Cerulean City, home of the Cerulean Gym. I'll put B-Man in the PC, heal, then go for Nugget Bridge...later.

Ugh, this sucks. I've been unable to do challenges because of a really bad eye infection. I've been in the hospital for the past 2 days. So, I haven't been able to stare at a screen for very long at all. Luckily, the DS doesn't hurt too much, so i've been playing my first run through of White. I have to say I really don't like it at all. I don't like anything about it. Hopefully, though, when I start doing monos for it, they'll go fast. I don't want to be doing this for any longer than I have to.
