Normal Monotype Challenge Update #6

This is my one and only Emerald update. Emerald was actually kind of difficult for me, I had to do more training than in the others. Anyways, here it is.

-Met my dad
-Caught a Tailow and Zigzagoon (Lt. Bird and Bud)
-Caught a Whismur and Skitty (AyeAye and Fluffy)
-Lots of training… Roxanne was difficult. Thank you Sing->Tail Whip!
-Went over to Dewford and Battled Brawly, easy stuff.
-Defeated Team Aqua and evolved Lt. Bird and AyeAye
-Wattson… had it not been for your Magneton, this would've been easy
-Random storyline stuff…
-Maxie was easy.
-Flannery was actually kind of difficult with Attract
-Training.
-Norman was easy after ^^
-Caught a Kecleon, not sure if I want to use it though
-Winona was simple
-Took down Team Magma and Aqua
-Training, and disposed of Fluffy.
-Liza&Tate were very difficult for me.
-Archie was no big deal
-Saved the world from all disaster
-Juan was not difficult at all with Thunderbolt
-I absolutely hate Hoenn's victory road, its looooong IMO
-Training
-Had the most difficulty in E4 against Wallace, not too bad though
-Explored a little bit and remembered I still have more challenge left, off to Platinum.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ghost).

I started Crystal today.

Name: Soul
Rival: Jack
Starter: Totodile

• After the initial errand stuff, I caught Impy the Misdreavus (Rt. 32) and Spooky the Gastly (Sprout Tower).
• Beat Falkner with Impy's Psywave, and continued on through Union Cave.
• Arrived in Azalea and chased off Team Rocket, then beat Bugsy pretty easily with Spooky.
• Went through Ilex Forest after wiping the floor with Jack, and arrived in Goldenrod.
• After beating all the trainers around the city, I took on Whitney, who fell to Impy after Spooky Cursed Miltank.
• Squirted Sudowoodo and killed him, and landed in Ecruteak City. Spooky evolved into Haunter.
• First, I beat the Kimono Girls and got Surf.
• Then I paid a visit to the Burned Tower, where Jack went down again, and freed the beasts.
• Next, it was time to take on the gym. The trainers were easy work for Spooky, and Morty was swept easily by Impy's Psybeam.
• And that's where I am saved right now, in Ecruteak City.

Hey guys first update ever

Name - Ciax Rival - Blue
Starterd with squirtle for a surfer, lost against Blue.
Travel to Viridian Forest, Caught Benny the weedle and Amanda the caterpie, trained up to level 14.
Fought Brock and won narrowly with a critical hit confusion. Travel through mt Moon, caught shroom the paras kicked team rocket out, how the hell do they call themselves a criminal organisation. Anyway got out and take the nugget bridge challenge. Saved bill as clefairy gave me a ticket. Fought misty, so easy with shroom knowning bullet seed. Head to vermillion and get on ss aqua. Floged Blue again and give backrubs to sick captains. Shroom evolved into a parasect and became my strongest team member. Fought Lt Surge, benny won it for me with his brick break on raichu. Saved at Poke center

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Ghost).

Update #2 on Crystal.

• Went to Olivine, scaled the Lighthouse, then surfed to Cianwood.
• Beat Chuck pretty easily with Spooky.
• Evolved Spooky into Gengar with TGB Dual before fighting Jasmine.
• Impy beat one Magnemite and Spooky finished the fight against Steelix with Hypnosis+Night Shade to beat Jasmine.
• Made my way to Mahagony Town and then Lake of Rage to talk to Lance.
• Beat the Hideout easily, then beat Pryce as well.
• Disbanded TR at the Radio Tower.
• Went through Ice Path to Blackthorn.
• Clair was no match for Spooky's Ice Punch.
• Surfed to Victory Road and beat Jack again, then took on the Elite Four.
• Will was soloed by Spooky (Shadow Ball/Ice Punch), Koga and Bruno by Impy (Psybeam), and Karen by Spooky (Ice Punch/Hypnosis+Shadow Ball).
• Lance wasn't too hard. Impy took down Gyarados and two Dragonite, and Spooky took out Aerodactyl, Charizard, and the final Dragonite. Impy and Spooky both beat the same amount of Pokemon in this Elite Four run, lol.

i will now take on an even greater challenge! INSANITY!

i'll be trying a STEELtype ULTIMATE CHALLENGE, thus starting on Crystal now.
i never played Crystal before tho.. i'll be playing it on an emulator, too.
so.. it's okay if i hack catch a little Scizor at the beginning, right? :3

APRIL 13 2011
Carrie's Charizard was a pain to battle when he challenged me outside of the Pokemon League. He was very Fire Blast happy and, if my memory is correct, I defeated him with a combination of OpiumPoppy's Reflect and Mandragora's Wrap. Defeating Carrie's Charizard when he became the champion was MUCH easier. He continually used Fire Spin, which basically had no effect at all, because he was under the effects of Oleander's Leech Seed. Fire Spin did very little damage, even against my Grass-type, so the energy I got at the end of every turn was enough to bring me back to 100% health.​

My sweet, sweet Jumpluff is incredibly weak. ;A; This wasn't a problem until recently. Before, Chamomile was great at defeating teams using a stall method. I'd have her use Sleep Powder, then Leech Seed, then Flash as many times as possible. Now, she can still take a hit but she doesn't last long after that. :/ However, so far all of the boss battles have not been very difficult. I'm waiting for Gina to call and offer me a Leaf Stone so that I can evolve an Oddish I have in the daycare into Vileplume. Mint continues to be awesome, and Rosehip has exceeded my expectations. I thought Rosehip was going to be the weakest link but she's actually quite tough. My only complaints are her lack of moves. Her movepool is very bland in Gen II. I could have taught Rosehip Sludge Bomb when she was a Gloom, but I didn't get that TM until after I had evolved her. u__u I plan to teach her Giga Drain after beating Erika.

APRIL 25 2011
IT'S FINALLY OVER. x__x Kanto is such a drag the second time around. :/ I rushed through all the gyms with just three Pokemon because Gina never gave me a Leaf Stone. After getting all 18 badges, Red kept kicking my ass so I challenged the E4 two more times... but it wasn't enough to survive Charizard's attacks. I was too impatient to challenge the E4 again so I just gave Jumpluff a quick claw and used my Sleep Powder/Leech Seed/Flash spam strategy to beat literally over half of his team. Charizard, Espeon, Snorlax, and Blastoise fell victim to this annoying tactic. The weakest member on my team beat the strongest Pokemon on Red's team. It just goes to show you that Pokemon really isn't just about brute strength.​

Hmmm... nothing of much importance to note. I usually don't mind grinding, but due to extenuating circumstances I simply don't feel like bothering. So, I boxed a Leafeon that I might use later on. Final Update (#3) on Crystal.

• I taught Thunderbolt to Impy before I left for Kanto via the move tutor.
• Sped through Kanto, defeating the gym leaders easily - all were soloed.
• Then I taught Thunderbolt to Spooky as well.
• Both Spooky and Impy were at L72 when I climbed Mt. Silver to fight Red.

2nd update

Got all the way through rock tunnel without flash, one of the hardest things i have ever done.
In Lavendar Town enetered Pokemon tower, Found Blue in front of a grave, someone told me hos raticate died. My team was so overleveled it was easy. Went thorugh the route connecting celadon and lavendar.
In celadon i got addcited to gambling for a few days, got lucky and cashed in big and bought a scyther from the prize corner, named him Stryke.
Leveld him up to leanr wing attacka fought erika with just him at level 26 and won easily.

So, I decided to finally fight Norman with my team of Level 29s and a Level 30 Tentacruel. I had a strategy worked out with abusing Mito III's Minimize. It didn't work. However, I did successfully defeat Norman on my first try with only two losses.

And guess what I'm about to grab? Surf! Tetrid III, time to shine!
