If and when I can find a ROM for Platinum, I'm going to try an all Ice team.

However, due to the fairly high level requirements, I will most likely be going Water first, focussing on Shellder/Cloyster once I get to Route 205 and later go full Ice-types when I get to Route 216.

This will hopefully be my end team.
Jynx
Froslass
Mamoswine
Glaceon
Walrein or Cloyster
Abomasnow.

I'll let you know when I start.

PS: Can you get to Route 205 without Gym battles needed? Never played Platinum :$

Alright I'm interested in this. But for the ultimate, is it every game, or every region? Do I have to play through red, blue, and yellow, or just red?
I'm going to go ahead and start yellow and go from there with an electric type team. If I do need to do blue and red I'll just go back.

Just did some extra research, and a Ice-team is a lot harder then it appears without using hacks. Wild Ice pokemon only appear near Mt Coronet, and catching a Shellder will require a Super Rod, which you only get from the Fight Area...

Man..

@Yoak, Just 1 of every region, for example, I'm playing through like this FireRed --> HeartGold --> Ruby --> Diamond --> Black

@Niriate, Ice Types arent the easiest thing to find, hacking in a low level one at the start would probably be smart. Unless you have the real game and not a rom. Then I'd suggest playing through on a different one, getting to a spot with a Ice pokemon and quickly trade it over as soon as possible

I know, but my skills with hacking are almost non-existant. Think ill focus on my personality challenge for now.

I have started a Bug monotype On blue

- Started with Squirtle
- Did all the booring starting stuff
- Caught a Caterpie and Weedle
- Trained Boath to level 10
- Saved

I've tried, but I can't find any way to hack in an Ice type into my game. So consider my playthrough scrapped.

So now I start Sapphire. You just moved to town so the game begins. Now I go up and the Proffesor is being attacked.
Wait a secon Proffesor Birch, Elm, Oak. This is to easy. What is next Maple? I choose Treeko as my starter and off I
go.

I finally win the first rival battle. Finally. I head back to Littleroot (I just realized the proffesor is the tree
and the town is the roots ha) and get the pokedex and running shoes. I now head over to Petalburg City. On my way
there I see and catch Empathy the level 4 Ralts. I then start on training him.

I then head to the gym. Here I am met by the leader who is your dad. He tells me to go and beat the gym leaders in
Hoen starting with Rustboro City. To get here I go through the Petalbugh Woods. In the Woods there is this wierd guy
who was beeing chased. I helped him out from the evil team's grunt and sent him on his merry way. Once there I head
to the gym. Easy gym battle. After exiting I see the random guy running after a grunt. I go to help out and I am sent
to a tunnel. Here I kill... I mean beat the thief and take the package back. I give it back to the guy and I am now
helping Devon. They ask me to take the package somewhere so I agree.

To get there I needed to go see the man whose Wingull I saved earlier. He is in the house below Petalburgh Woods. He
will take me to Dewford. The first thing I do here is head to the cave. In granite cave I catch my second adiition
Mystic Who you should know what is. I then train Mystic in the Granite Cave. I also catch Sage my second Abra. I
decided this after seeing three in a row and deciding it was a sign. He did hold a twistedspoon so it may have been
a sign.

I then went and evolved Mystic to an Alakazam and easily defeated the gym. I then set to training Sage. I evolve Sage
and find Steven to give him the letter. I then head over to Slateport. In Slateport Team Aqua is trying to do something
evil. I stop them and save the day. Anyways I deliver the package and then move on my way. I now head to Mauville.

In Muaville I get my bike and kick butt at the gym. After the battle I head over and free up the cave that is blocking
Rustboro. I now head back to the route leading north of Muaville. Now Onward.

I am currently in Fallabor and not sure what I have been doing to get here. It was a while til I could update the notes. Bare with me and my crappy cpu and I will be hurrying through this region I dread.

Team:

Mystic level 32 Alakazam
Sage level 17 Alakazam
Empathy level 24 Kirlia

HM Slaves:

Taillow
Treeko

Alright, I'm going for the Electric Ultimate Challenge! Going to be doing it on roms, and will attempt to record and upload the biggest parts on youtube, if I can manage it.
Starting with Yellow-Crystal (or maybe gold)-Emerald-Platinum-Black
Kinda generic for sticking with the 3rd game remakes, but oh well. I like them the best.

Since I'm still intruiged by the concept, I'm going to try a Grass mono in Pokemon White.
First time ever playing White, so it should be a very interesting playthrough

-Went ahead and started my journey from Pallet Town to Cinnabar
-Used Torcher and he owned using Hidden Power
-Got to Seafoam
-Plowed through using Ashe Jr.'s Dig and Blaze's Earthquake
-Defeated all Blaines Team using the two above moves
-Got the Volcano Badge!
-Bet all trainers left on the Water Routes
-Talked to Blue
-Had to start using Super-Effectiveness to my advantage
-Blue was a pain, His Rhydon managed to make Torcher faint twice, everything else wasnt too bad
-Got the Earth Badge!
-Got the Magmarizer and evolved Torcher to Magmortar

@ nirate- that sounds interesting, with awesome grass types like lilligant, serpeior, amoonguss and ferrothorn and a couple others you will kick some ass

Yea... but I can't get my ROMs to work correctly.. Desmume is too slow and I can't save in No$GBA.. Great..

EDIT: Probably gonna bite the bullet and get a combo pack of a DSi and PKM White for a decent price.
