  • For Dauntless, when you say that none of your Pokemon can learn Normal type moves, are you allowed to use the mandatory HMs that are Normal type (for example, HM04 Strength)?

    Update #1
    Basic Badge
    Single
    Normal

Chose Tepig as my starter due to It becoming fire fighting, two of the types allowed. To my surprise, it was a girl, so I nicknamed it Cynder.
Went through the tutorials then caught a Purrloin and named it Rhys. Got to Floccessy Town and continued to the Ranch were I battled my Rival (Spirit).
Caught myself a Riolu that I named Flynn.
Battled and trained my pokemon then rescued Herdier.
Battled against Alders 'students' before getting the Medal Case and returning to Aspertia city to challenge the gym.
Didn't make it on my first try against Cherens, so I intend to replace Rhys/Purrloin with another Pokemon when I get the chance. Beating him on the second go then had to save.

    Team:
Currently I have a female Tepig named Cynder, and a male Riolu named Flynn. More info will be made later, it was quite a while ago when I played and I need to charge the DS.

Congrats on finishing your Fire Red challenge ChiKouu! Hope you enjoyed it!:)
Good luck with the rest of your challenge CDChaser, Cheren can be quite annoying with work up._.
and Good luck with your challenge, ShinyNuzLover!

I'll be posting a second update soon, I've almost got my second badge! Just training Machop and Meditite before I battle, because Piplup and Shellos are weak to grass so I'll need to rely on my fighting types. ^_^

Serving the Factionless; You are not allowed to harm wild Pokemon. This rule is nullified when battling a legendary Pokemon. <- Does this mean I can only throw Pokeballs when trying to catch my team members?

If you enjoyed the movie, I would reccomend the book series as well, it's a wonderful series!:D

You can use any type of poke-ball (Ultra ball, great ball, poke ball, heal ball, net ball, all the others, etc.) The rule just means that you can't damage the Pokemon you're fighting. However, you may use status conditions that do not take away their HP.

Some of the statuses that damage HP are: Confusion, Poison, and Burns
Others that do not damage HP, are allowed, such as: Attraction, Sleep, Paralysis, Frozen etc.

As long as you don't lower their HP, you're good, good luck with your challenge though! Hope I answered your question:)

As soon as I heard of this, I knew I would play it. I also knew I would be dauntless, and since I saw Lucario as the required, since I use it a lot and can get it for free, I figured that made it all the better.

  • Btw, how am I supposed to grind if I can't fight wild Pokemon? Just get lucky and try to find trainers that I didn't battle yet and battle those that can be fought against numerous times? :S

That's why its a challenge:P You can change your faction if you don't like that rule, but It's supposed to add some difficulty to the game, either way is fine just make sure you go back and edit your first post if you change your faction:)

Found a way to grind my Pokemon without wild Pokemon haha.
Gonna be a pain to catch the Pokemon without having the ability to buy Pokeballs xD

Yeah that'll probably be tough lol, I probably will make an exception for that rule and edit it into my first post, so you can at least by poke balls lol, but I'll get to it later after I decide. Good luck with your challenge!:)
