Ali Krista
Medic Tent
?

"Ali! you there? "
Jack's crackling voice cut through the air like a knife, awakening a startled Ali. What th-?

"Listen carefully, we're gonna retreat to Hearthome, I repeat, retreat to Hearthome with all the remaining soldiers. Tell Mark and Althalos to blast the little cave that's in the way."

It took Ali a few seconds to take in what his radio had said. He groaned and sank back onto his pillows. The war... Christ. I've had enough.
Pulling at his radio with his left arm, Ali spoke into the transceiver.

"Mark, Althalos. We're retreating to Hearthome. Blast the cave in Coronet and get all the soldiers you can. I'll be along asap. Over."

The light in here is really bright. At least it was comfier than when I was on the dust... Where am I though?

"Oh! General, you're awake! The surgery went as planned, how is your arm feeling?"
The soft voice of a female nurse wafted into the room, and Ali turned his head. A hospital? ... No, a medic tent.

"Surgery?" Ali asked, propping himself up onto his pillows. He looked his right arm. It looked fairly normal, other than the metal cap on the shoulder and the splints reaching towards his elbow. It didn't hurt anymore... nothing did.

"It... it feels fine."
It was heavy, and moving it was a chore. However, he managed to lift it a few inches before allowing it to fall back onto the bed. Damn, that's impressive work. Ali made to stand up, but the nurse firmly pushed him back onto the bed.

"Oh, no. You're not going anywhere just yet. You've just had major surgery, you're not able."

"Look, nurse-"

"Nurse Jennings."

"Nurse Jennings. I appreciate that you are trying to do your job and I really admire the handiwork on this thing, I do. But please, I have a war to help run. I wouldn't leave unless it was absolutely necessary."

"... All right General. But please, don't over do it. You nearly lost an arm there."

Ali's face broke out into a smile. "Thank you, sincerely. I'll take care."

"Here is your medication. It's gonna hurt a lot before it heals, but you know that. Goodbye sir."

"Goodbye, Nurse Jennings." Ali took the medication and put them in his pocket, before getting to his feet. He walked to the entrance of the tent, stretching his arm a little as he went.

Damn, it's stiff. They coulda hooked me up with a BioArm... No matter. It works.

Logan Johnson

Logan investigated the gun safe. Taking out his lockpick tool, he attempted to open it. The Safe opened with relative ease, and Logan opened the safe. He looked around to find an Uzi, with no ammo.
" F***," Logan shouted, picking up the Uzi and putting it in his backpack. Logan stormed out of the room and towards a large window. He pulled out his hook and grapple and attached the hook to a couch, and jumped out of the window. Logan stopped his descent and rested up against the side of the building, ready to rappel down. Logan rappelled down with no complications.
Where to next, Logan wondered. He saw soldiers retreating, probably to Hearthome or Eterna.
Maybe i should go check the garage, Logan thought, walking to the front of the building. Logan noticed the garage door and walked in front of it.

Rumble

"Y-yeah, I'm ok. Just a little shaken up. I-"
Lydia did seem exhausted, Rumble figured. While looking into her eyes, he saw something more, she was trying to hide; sorrow. But she sounded steady when she spoke.

"Woah, dude. What happened? Are you okay?"
Rumble gifted her his wicked smile - only this time free of evil. He was walking down the dark street, heading to the armory which would be the new PR.

"You know me, I'll always be okay. I told you to stay outta trouble... I'm sorry I took you away so suddenly, but I didn't have the power to protect you, if you needed me..."

And it was true. Rumble was exhausted, he half closed his amber eyes and his smile faded as he broke eye contact with his friend to focus on levitation. He hadn't sleep properly in three days and he was bleeding from his fight with Ali. But then he realised what he said - it didn't sound like him at all. He'd never apologized to a Pokemon, or a human being in general.
This wasn't the same Rumble who killed his creators with the most brutal, ruthless, sadistic ways his huge brain could think. Do I have a split personality, perhaps?

"Mark, Althalos. We're retreating to Hearthome. Blast the cave in Coronet and get all the soldiers you can. I'll be along asap. Over." Ali said over the radio. "10-4, we could use help here though." Mark said over his radio. The situation was bad, there probably weren't many soldiers left in the city. Mark got up into a crouch and sprayed the battlefield with his mp-7. As he was emptying his clip, Silence jumped from a rooftop and landed on his Bro. "I don't think so." He ran over, pulling out his sniper. She was talking to althalos? Too quiet for mark to hear, he assumed it was a threat and bashed her in the head with his 20 pound rifle, knocking Silence unconscious for a good while. Mark helped up hid bud and decided to pick up silence as well, the HR could use some information, and she had to know something. "Everyone meet at the gate to coronet within 20 minutes, after that well be gone" Mark said over his helmet radio. "If you see any civies on the way, escort them to our little safe zone." He turned off his radio. "You O.K? What did she say.

Althalos Fizen

Outside hospital

Althalos fell onto his back as the Weavile from the pool dropped out of the sky. She held her claw at his neck and asked him to help a human escape. A gun stock came out of nowhere and bashed her head. She collapsed on his chest and he brushed her off of him. "I hope you realize that we're surrounded." he grumbled towards the man. He felt sick and dazed. Mark picked up the weavile and asked if he was okay. Althalos groaned, "I feel like I'm gonna puke," and he did. He felt so very sick, like it was a dream. He was confused and something was happening in his mind. Everything was starting to look like flowers. The nearest one asked what the weavile had said. "Girl." he groaned, "escort, out of the city... short hair..." he threw up again. "You talking flowers are messing with my mind! Get away!" he yelled at the figures. There was only one shape that wasn't a flower, Blitz. Despite the bad memories it brought him, the familiar shape was comforting. It began walking away, and Althalos followed, walking through the crowd of giant flowers, throwing up as he went. "Blitz..." he groaned as he stumbled after the silhouette. "Come back... Please?" he called, the sickness taking over his mind, making him forget what the pokemon had done for the time being. The figure stopped and Althalos walked closer, but the silhouette didn't get any color, it just remained a shadow. The shape then grew and loomed over Althalos. It opened two large red eyes and gave an evil smile, the sharp, white teeth standing out in the shadow. "Do you remember meeee?!" it hissed and Althalos collapsed backwards. The figure stood over him and opened it's mouth. The whole thing smelt of decay and death, but it's breath was the worst. Not only did it smell of thousands of dead bodies, but Althalos' distorted mind also imagined screams when it breathed out. His imagination was slowly starting to kill him, right when it chomped down on his head, Althalos blacked out.

(keep in mind, that Althalos did run a way and say all those things, but only he could see any of that because it was part of his currently sickened mind. So no one can come in and kill the shadow beast. He's sick from a cut or something that got infected before it was treated)

Hospital check-out

Rumble began to glow red, signaling that I had pissed him off. Good. He turned and started to leave when he heard... Lydia, I believe. "Just go back with the others, I've had enough of this." That too was good. I hope he didn't think he intimidated me. All I could feel for someone like him was hatred. Though, it sounded like he had a soft spot for the Zorua, Lydia.

I began to walk away from the hospital, but something felt... off. It felt like something was going on inside the hospital. I shrugged it off for now, I didn't need to be involved in another thing inside that hospital. I decided to follow Rumble's orders. Not because I had to, but because it was really the only thing to do at this point. Besides, as long as Hector was alive, I didn't have to worry about Rumble being in charge.

"Girl." Althalos moaned "escort, out of the city... short hair..." Althalos threw up again. "You talking flowers are messing with my mind! Get away!" He said as he ran off into to crowd. "What are you doing!" Mark yelled, "Get back here!" Mark reloaded his smg and ran into the crowd after his friend. "Althalos!" He shouted, getting no response. Mark emptied his clip to his left. The bullets hit all kinds of different pokemon. "This is hopeless!" Mark Yelled, Almost tripping. While stumbling, he accidentally dropped Silence and his MP7. Mark looked back at what had made him drop everything, the sick runaway. Holstering his mp7, he picked the weavile back up and dragged althalos by the back of his hood to a nearby building, through the building, and to the regroup. It was quiet, too quiet, a good indicator that one or more people were hiding. "Hey!" Someone yelled. Mark spun around. "You the one who told us to meet here?" A marine asked. "Yea, get this guy inside, please, im gonna go round up some survivors." Mark said as he walked away. Now He was gonna look for that short haired girl. After 10 minutes of searching, he bumped into a girl with long, black hair, green eyes. "Hey, follow me, i'm gonna get you out of here." Mark said kindly "Now, Whats your name. "Lilac" The girl replied. "O.K, lilac, i'm going to get you out of the city, O.K?" Mark escorted Lilac and a group of marines and civilians back to the regroup. He walked back into the building everyone was held up in with the group. "1 minute till we leave people." Mark crashed in a soft chair and relaxed for the one minute he had.

Her friend grinned back with his crooked smile, though probably in a more gracious way rather than malice. "You know me, I'll always be okay. I told you to stay outta trouble…I'm sorry I took you away so suddenly, but I didn't have the power to protect you if you needed me," he said. The Zorua nodded. He was acting surprisingly nice for a pokemon who was yelling just a minute ago. Their feuds had brought them together. No one would fully be able to understand Rumble, except her.

Examining the pokemon closer, he looked to be damaged severely. The human had sliced his gel, even managing to cut open a bloody wound. Lydia didn't like the looks of it. Letting the Reuniclus regain his strength, she walked beside him towards the armory.

"No need to be sorry, really," she beamed at him, "Your fine. Thanks for caring".

Glimpsing at the pokemon around her, they continued to stare at both her and Rumble. The little pokemon's eyes almost burned from fury. At seeing her frown, many of them shook their glances from the two. Lydia also looked away, directing her attention to the armory which was now in near perfect view.

"The city is ours..."

Wade
Oreburgh City
Hospital Secret Operation Room

The things that had happened in the past week were absolutely blurry to Wade, and with his personality changed together with the operation, Wade didn't want to think about it anymore. He didn't remember much, but he could picture a little Zorua, the most beautiful one he had ever seen. Who was she? Whoever she was, she was somebody very important to him. But somehow, she wasn't in his memories, like a deleted file in a computer, and he didn't know who she was. Maybe she was his partner? His friend? Jack picked Wade up and gave him a big hug without a warning, but Wade didn't fight back. In his memories, he was a good trainer. Violent sometimes, but a good trainer. Snuggling and purring in Jack's arms, Wade smiled, his tail wagging.

"I'm sorry Wade, but this is no time to cuddle. There are more pressing issues at hand." Jack spoke and placed Wade onto the table, then fixed his own wounds.

"Listen to me, Wade. What I'm going to say, is very important. I want you, to fight for our side. Join up with me. Like old times." He said. "Together, we can win the war, or stop it. Either way, we're gonna see through the war, together. We're gonna rest right now. We'll then continue on towards Hearthome, where we'll prepare a counter attack to take back Oreburgh." He explained, and Wade tilted his head. Like old times...that sounded good. Wade couldn't even remember the reason why he had joined the PR anymore. It was bound to return, but now, it was gone. Looking at Jack, his trainer, Wade nodded. Why not?

Jack radioed Ali, then when he was done, he turned to Wade once again, and Wade had made his decision.

"You are my trainer, Jack. Whatever you do, I am there for you." Wade answered, his voice loyal and calm.

"No need to be sorry, really," Lydia said, "Your fine. Thanks for caring".
Rumble didn't answer. He didn't know what to say, for the first time in his life. Didn't even know if he liked this situation or not.

"The city is ours.."

The small Pokemon on his right was full of fury, Rumble could feel it as they walked towards the armory. He was surprised - fury? Not sorrow? Even her movements proved him right.

"Indeed, Lydia. Mine, to be precise."

He saw the Pokemon re-building the armory. A mighty Pokemon from his hospital team saluted him as they passed by.
Rumble found his old, ruthless self in here, among the other Pokemon. A wonderful Pokemon approached Rumble and he turned all his attention on her. An Altaria, apparently some of the important member of the PR, she saluted Rumble.

"Captain Rumble, what to do with all those human guns?" she asked with a melodic voice. Rumble glanced at Lydia and found his smile again.

"A room inside the new PR would be good. Oh and... gather all the Sentrets and Loudreds you can find and send them over the outskirts of the town. They'll let us know when the humans will attack," said the new PR Commander in an intimidating tone as he walked by the other Pokemon workers.

"You are my trainer, Jack. Whatever you do, I am there for you." Wade's voice was filled with conviction. It didn't look like he was bluffing. This was the real deal. Wade was the first pokemon to join the Human Republic.

Jack pulled out a little pokeball from the pocket of his jacket. He showed it to Wade, and said, "See this? This is where you used to live." He then chucked it on the floor, and crushed it, breaking it entirely. "You aren't bound anymore buddy." He whispered.

"C'mon, we need to move. We don't have time. We have lost Oreburgh, but we're gonna get it back. No matter what." He continued. He picked up a few bandages, and some other first aid stuff, and put them in his pocket. He then gently picked up Wade, and exited the hospital.

He walked towards the City Center, hoping that's where the regroup was supposed to be. He walked inside to his soldiers, injured, and in a bad state. He saw Mark yelling, "1 minute till we leave people." and then rest in a chair. Jack went up to Mark, and kicked his chair hard.

"Why the **** are you resting? We need to get outta here before that psychopath Rumble gets here!" He yelled at him.

He then turned towards the rest of the people in the Center, and shouted, "People! I would like to introduce you to our newest member!" He gently placed the Umbreon on the floor, and said, "Wade!"

(My post deleted itself... V_V D*mnit...*is too lazy to write good*)

"Indeed, Lydia. Mine to be precise...". Though it took a second for the small pokemon to fully understand the Reuniclus, it was soon very clear as the sentence's meaning shot into her mind. She nodded with a small smile.

While walking, an Altaria flew over to confront her friend. Lydia listened with interest. "Captain Rumble, what shall we do with all of the human guns?" she asked, her voice resembling a melody. Her friend smiled at her, again directing his focus to the PR member.

"A room inside the new PR would be good. Oh and... gather all the Sentrets and Loudreds you can find and send them over the outskirts of the town. They'll let us know when the humans will attack". He sounded clear and bold, Lydia's grin widening. Rumble had been clawing his way up rank, and now here he was. A true leader; at least in her opinion. She felt proud to be his friend.

Without warning, her fur began to prick on edge, a weird tingle shooting down her spine. The Zorua's fur flattened, though the sense didn't go away. Something was wrong. Becoming anxious, her attention shot away from Rumble, though she did notice that he had sensed her worry. Lydia turned to him.

"Umm, Rumble? Can I meet up with you later?" she asked in a somewhat small tone. It was obvious she felt sad to leave so soon.

As I saw the fires die down, I was convinced that I was in my personal hell. Who does this? A monster, that's who. What's next, the enslavement of humanity? It's extinction? I don't know which is worse. Whatever the reason, I hope that all that preaching about us being special that you see in movies and such everywhere is true.

Right now, I really don't know whats keeping me forward. Maybe it's the instinct for survival, maybe its the knowledge that who knows what will happen when the Pokemon get their hands on a human. Maybe it's even... Hope that the war will end, despite the fact civilization is being run to the ground? I don't really know.

I saw a swarm of Pokemon parade through the streets, celebrating their recent victory. Maybe we humans are doomed to fail. Whatever the situation, I was trapped behind enemy lines. Just like Canalave. Maybe there is a way to escape... I jumped, and hid inside the next building over.

Mark was relaxing for the one minute while he waited for any late editions to the party. Someone came over and kicked the chair, Mark stood up. "Hey, what the fu... ohh uhhh, commander." He said, shocked. "Why the **** are you resting? We need to get outta here before that psychopath Rumble gets here!" The commander yelled at him."People! I would like to introduce you to our newest member! Wade!" "well Wade, welcome to our side, Hope you like hiking." Mark laughed "Back on the earlier topic, Rumble, ha, nothing they have can stand up to my 50 BMG bullet, other than a tank. This bullet can go threw a bank vault door with no problems, like a knife threw warm butter. I would love to see him stand up to it. Anyways, sir, you made it just in time, were leaving. Form up Everyone, time to go!" Mark yelled ,picking up the still KO'd Silence and then to the outside with the rest of the soldiers. When he got out, everyone was formed up and ready to move, this was at least enough people to make a small platoon. Mark ran over to the commander. "Platoon formed and ready to move, sir!"

Althalos Fizen
leaving Oreburgh
Medical truck

The loud roar of an engine made Althalos open his eyes. He looked around to find he was in a medical Humvee with an IV stuck in his arm. A doctor was sitting on a bench and smiled when Althalos looked at him. "Good to see you're awake," he laughed.
"All I can remember is talking flowers... And-and fire." Althalos groaned. "You have a high fever," the doctor said. "This medicine will make you feel better really quickly, with no side effects." Althalos didn't seem to hear him, he kept talking. "And Blitz... except he was a shadow... H-he tried to kill me... My friend, he tried to kill me." Althalos rolled over and silently started to cry. He wanted to throw up again but the medicine was preventing him. After a few minutes, he fell asleep, repeating his old friends name as he did.
- - - -
The silence is what woke up Althalos. The truck had stopped, how long he didn't know, but the doctor was still there. "Do you feel any better?" he asked. Althalos nodded; his face felt hot but other wise he was fine. "Why did we stop?" he asked the doctor. "We're here, Hearthome," was the reply. Althalos got up off the stretcher and stretched. He was still in his normal attire, so he headed out. The old contest hall was the new HR base here while the gym was boarded up. Althalos checked to make sure he had all his weapons, and other than his pistol, he did. Althalos skipped the base and went to a hotel. He had enough money for a room and food, but not much else. The hotel owner gladly accepted him and showed him to his room. Althalos missed the room he had at "home" back in Sunnyshore, but this was better than a bunk in the base. He climbed into the bed as the sun started to set and just lay on top of the blankets, and fell asleep.

Rumble

As Rumble spoke, he glanced at Lydia and saw her grin getting bigger and bigger. Was she proud of him - or having him a friend? Or was that the same?
She seems to be the only one truly supporting me. I don't even know how I did that..
But she suddenly seemed upset about something.

"Umm, Rumble? Can I meet up with you later?"

Rumble remained silent for a moment, with them two standing among the path the Pokemon made for him and Lydia, wondering what's up with her. Suddenly, an idea bursted into his mind, and he instanly closed his eyes to focus on his thoughts. A mere 2 seconds later, he replied with his eyes still shut.

"Yeah, you may go.. but come to my new office as soon as possible." He opened his eyes which were burning with determination and the glow of power as he looked at the armory.

His new office was incredible. Those Machop workers were amazing, Rumble would say. The building was up in one night, with the help of upto 50 Fighting-Type Pokemon. The Altaria from before escorted him there. The Sinnoh map was on the wall, the window was on the right and there was a big table with two chairs facing each other and a couch beside the window.
Time for some planning... He thought, while grinning and heading over to his table. He let the levitation go off and sat on the chair, facing the silent Altaria who was still waiting over the door.

"Captain?" asked the beautiful Pokemon beside him with a sweet voice. Rumble couldn't tell if she was afraid by his might. He took his Flamethrower, glove and blood-coated armor, put aside the Oreburgh Map on the table and placed them in front of him. It took him a moment to reply, as he was lost in his thoughts while he cleaned his gadgets with almost mechanical moves.

"Yeah? What is it?"

"You don't really think we'll be staying here for long, do you? I hear the HR Commander has found his senses," claimed the Altaria and got closer to his desk, looking at him.

"I have a plan. I also have a plan B. Order the fire Pokemon to retreat to Jubilife, right away." Said Rumble with a strange expression on his face. His smile was twisted as always, but no evil was bound with it. Only pure brutality. The Altaria's eyes reflected only fear and doubt as she spoke.

"But.."

Rumble instanly got up, although he was feeling naked without his guns. He open and closed his right arm slowly, stretching the gel in the area as he stared at the Altaria.

"... You're still here?" His voice sounded like a soft whisper. Rumble turned around, Altaria left the room, leaving him in his thoughts.

Rumble replied to her with several seconds of silence. He was concentrating on something, and she didn't rush him. "Yes, you may go, but come to my new office soon as possible," he said with his eyes shut. Lydia nodded gratefully, running away with a small smile. It quickly faded as she tried to focus. Where was she heading, and what was she feeling? The Zorua didn't know. She just knew she had to do something about it.

It was about a minute before she realized the issue. Passing by the hospital, her eyes narrowed as her small feet slid to a halt; Wade. Where the hell was Wade? Her eyes searching the ground, Lydia failed to find his body. The umbreon had disappeared.

"W-who did this? Where is he?" she growled, frustrated. How she sensed his disappearance was unknown to her, but she had to do something about it. Her attention directed to the hospital. "Of course..."

Her eyes quickly regaining color, she slid into the ground through the form of her shadow, passing into the front door of the human building. She quickly spied a doctor. Powering up with Nasty Plot, she leaped out from the floor, the shadows sticking to her as she slashed the human from behind. He fell face first, the Zorua climbing over and continuing her search, though more people soon came in place of the first. She wasn't in the mood to play. She needed answers.

Seeping in and out of the ground, she sliced through them, a small cry coming out of each in reaction to her attacks. They all fell instantly, the doctors struggling to get up. She stopped in front of them.

"Where is he??? The umbreon! Where?" Lydia's voice echoed in the humans' heads, her tone booming with anger. The Zorua's high pitched sounds screeched in their ears. No replies were coming out. Her eyes glowed in frustration. She didn't want to kill them, but if she had to...

City Center Plaza, half a mile away from the hospital

Jack seemed to sense that he wasn't telling a lie about the joining thing, and he took out a Pokeball - the Red and White kind. At first Wade thought he was going to trap him once again, but he was surprised when Jack chucked it onto the floor and crushed it with his foot. Wade wasn't bound anymore, and he didn't have to hide in the little container ever again. This was a new beginning.

"C'mon, we need to move. We don't have time. We have lost Oreburgh, but we're gonna get it back. No matter what." Jack spoke, and Wade had to admit, it was rather strange working for the humans, but as long as his trainer was there, Wade was bound to follow. After all, what had happened in the past few weeks? All gone, temporarily, but gone. Wade didn't know that Lydia was searching for him in the hospital, killing everybody she saw. And Lydia didn't know about Wade's condition. If she found out, she was probably gonna break into a million pieces. It was better if she didn't find him. But alas, nothing was stopping her, and Wade was just telling the truth. He couldn't remember who she was.

"People! I would like to introduce you to our newest member - Wade!" Jack shouted and placed the Umbreon onto the floor. Wade didn't pay much attention to the other's expression and waited for them to leave.

Riley is wandering in the forest with lots of trees and groves of flowers beautiful scenery. Riley looks around and sees soldiers all beat up some wounded and others cut up."Hmm it seems like their coming from oreburgh now heading to Hearthome city.Hmm...if i join them I might find lucario." So he heads up the forest. The ground is getting lighter and more grass suroundings than flowers more mountains to.Heads to hearthome and takes a look around seeing a veiw of people talking about the injured soldiers, beutiful homes, rocky roades, and some dirt paths.Riley finds a old looking house that looks abandond. He walks over to the house and remembers lucario. He knocks to see if anyone moved in or lived here *knock knock* no one awnsered he tryed the door and it opened like it just was able to be pushed without turning the knob.He walks in theres cob webs, dusty windows, dampy walls ,pictures tilted, old covered up furniture. "Wow this place sure looks old." Riley decides to take a look around and finds a old news paper. He picks up the old news paper and looks at the articals. He found A stunning picture with a guy wearing an unusual picking up a lucario hat. He starts to remember a stray beaten up abanded scared looking lucario. He cries and flashes back to the time he found his lucario. -flashback- lucarios previous owner talks to Lucario "Lucario your a weak pokemon!!!!"Riley lookes out the window."huh" lucarios previous owner shouted "you lost the match you stupid weak dumb pokemon!!!" "The man pulled out a whip and lashed the Lucario with it." Riley watches and runs out the door breaking the door knob standing in the way of lucario. The whip hits riley and left a scar on his arm next to the shoulder. The owner puts down his whip "move squirt" said lucarios previous owner.Lucarios old owner looked like he went to the gym and worked out every day and wears gym outfits and looks like a body builder."No!!you stupid savage how can you be so cruel to this pokemon. What has that pokemon ever done to you." Riley said. "Pff... you can have him hes a worthless little runt. He loses every battle."throwes his pokeball and Riley catches the ball as the trainer walks off in the fog. Riley picks up the lucario and takes him to his house and treats the wounds. The next day they where off heading to the store when these pokemon appear out of nowhere. They attacked Riley and before he blacked out he saw the pokemon take his lucario.-back to the present- Riley starts to cry and when he noticed a blue looking musket with aura desighns on it."Hmm I wonder what this can do." Pointing down an ally he shoots the gun down an ally that was filled with trash. He shoots the gun and it shot out with devestating aura power that it made a explosion. He also learned how to sense and use aura as self defense when he needed to use it. When the day turned to night he went to sleep on the old couch from using so much aura.

The soldiers had just cleared the boundaries of there 'Safe house' and were steadily marching out of Oreburgh. They had just lost the city, but it was a rather positive mood in the group. Maybe they were just happy to be leaving, maybe they were glad they were finally get some rest, all Mark knew was he was happy to be out of the urban war zone. Urban war was the worst kind, a fight for every inch of land. Every room becomes a base, every pile of ruble a fort. It was also the slowest kind of battle, as every room in every building needs to be cleared.

Mark was enjoying his prestigious position at the front of the group, it made him feel... prestigious. The soldiers were now out of the city, walking towards the cave mark needed to take down, should be easy with his RPG rounds, they have a lot of.... bang. Whoever invented IEDs, Mark owed them. Mark finally decided he should say something. "Soo.... Jack, whats your story?" Did Mark really just ask that.
