I am still FUMING about the utter lack of information given in the Direct, but I have to admit I'm highly curious as to what is going to be done with these games - given that Game Freak are always out to surprise us, I don't expect these to be standard instalments in the franchise...and I strongly suspect NX involvement in there somewhere because of that lack of information. I just hope they don't keep us guessing too long...and that worldwide means "worldwide release" as it damn well should.

Ah yes, poor Zygarde is literally the legendary reject of 6th Gen. But let's hope the next generation of legendaries all get significant backstory.

Well, I mean, the trademark leak yesterday pretty much killed all my surprise which sucks a bit, but I'm definitely surprised! I was expecting Z, or otherwise an announcement on Pokemon Go or some other spinoffs... a whole new set of games? It wasn't high on my predictions list, lol.

I still don't understand why anyone would be mad about this Direct, but to each their own.

And considering that they are for the 3DS family of systems, where would you think NX?

I can't wait to see what legendaries they have! Do we know if it's in a new region? Is it part of Gen6 or a new generation altogether?

It could be that they're just going to cover it in the anime for some reason for a change; the third Legendaries never really get any attention in the anime after all, and they can flesh out Zygarde a lot more easily than they can Xerneas and Yveltal. It might even be a bid to boost ratings or something, since they're deviating from the game's story quite a bit with it.

I'm still betting on postgame coverage for Zygarde though, similar to the Delta Episode. I don't think they'll just leave it alone after making all those forms for it.

Somehow I wonder if they'll surprise us by releasing a third version. After a lack of Gray or Z (and perhaps by extension, DeltaEmerald, even though people probably don't think remakes of third versions happen anyway, since there were no Blue/Yellow or Crystal remakes - they just incorporate elements of those games into the paired remakes), people might not be expecting that.
