What a difference one year makes for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. This time last year, they were struggling mightly, but managed to finish 5-3 under interim head coach Jason Garrett (who became head coach shortly after the season ended).
Now, the team is 7-4 and leading the NFC East after the Giants lost 49-24 to New Orleans last night. Dallas currently is on a 4-game winning streak, and will look to stretch it to 5 games this Sunday at Arizona. New York has another tough test with currently undefeated Green Bay at home on Sunday, and could find themselves 2-games down as the Cowboys and Giants have their first match-up 2 weeks from now.
The players responded to Garrett's coaching and now the team looks like they can hang with it, but if they play Green Bay in the NFC Divisional or Championship game, they'd probably have their season within a game then.
After last year's disaster, things are looking up for this club.
