What do you think are some of the most difficult problems faced by parents?

    Title.

We all know it's difficult raising kids as a parent, but what do you think makes it the most difficult? Whether it be constant screaming, not eating their food/eating too much, throwing it on the ground or breaking things.

I, personally, think that the biggest problem a parent can have when raising a child is the constant yelling and screaming. I mean, I see it all the time on public transport and the parents struggle to manage to get their kids to shut up. D: It's really annoying.

I think the worst thing parents have to deal with is children that just don't act properly. The ones that just act out and rebel constantly. Or those spoiled kids that just treat their parents horribly and still get whatever they want. >:

    Great thread idea, Will!

Reciprocally, you can blame that on the parents. XD

Sometimes, when a child rebels, it usually means they are not getting attention.

And sometimes the parents begins to spoil the child, and if the parents lessens this, the child will get mad as though expecting the norm.

Of course there are tons of other factors as well.

But I do believe that parents these days have a harder job, and indeed are not making it better for the most part...

That is also in part to do with how freedom goes... A mother hits her child for misbehaviour and she could go to jail...

A mother takes a picture of her children in the bathtub and could be charged with child pornography...

Plus there's the whole thing with the 'sterile environment' and the whole deal with suing...

I mean, a child gets hurt in a playground, so perhaps the parent might find it grounds to sue the school. Thus the school bans any sort of tag game...

It's really ashame. I'd encourage kids to get scrapes and bruises... they'll only get them once, and it's not like it is permanent damage...

Also what I hate the most, is when a parent feeds their kid Coke (the soda, not the drug), when their kid is like under 5 (I've seen it happen lots especially with low income families). Or the mall rats... it's like midnight, and some parents have their kids either in a stroller or running around... When they should be in bed...

I think the only main problem is the screaming in public places, other than that, if I was a parent and my kid threw their food on the floor because they didn't want to eat it, I would let them starve, and if they broke something on purpose, I'd break something of theirs. Eye for an eye baby

..Oh lordy. Even though I don't have children of my own, I know the difficulties that come with raising children. Having seen it myself and right now, I'm actually experiencing what it takes to look after a child and believe me, it's probably the most challenging thing I've ever done. The constant crying, screaming, and attention children need. Looking after a child isn't like taking a stroll in the pack. And how parents react with their children, also affect how they learn things in life. Most people know that children learn and develope their skills at the young age. That's when they harness how to take life. If you're a negative parent, your child is most likely to rebel and not listen to instructions. The naughty child who bite and smack other children in the playground. To be honest, I can't really say one thing that's difficult in being a parent, there are a lot of things. XD; That's why it's best to become a parent when you feel prepared to face the challenges ahead. Children aren't toys and they will always be with you, because they depend on their parents, as someone to look up to and someone to love.

Though I would have to say, looking at my older siblings, it's worth all the struggles and difficults when raising a child. Because when the job is done correctly, you know you can be proud of yourself and what your child has become.

    Difficult problems faced by parents?

I would say money, Since our economy is low the effect of it in our country is high. :C

I myself have been quite difficult on my mother, so my sarcasm and other stuff has driven her insane.
Parent's go through alot, criticism if their child acts out(I know my mother has had that alot<.<), nagging for items(As Malev said, the economy is bad today so it's tough on them. I know numorous times my mother went without to feed me and please me.), not having any time for yourself, and if the child comes from a broken home, it's even worse for a single parent, especially if the other one won't do the right thing.

    Just my opinions~

That said, i will probably get the same back if/when i'm ready to have children. >.>

It depends on the age of the child, but I'd say a big problem is communication. A child isn't going to start crying for no reason at all, they obviously want or need something, but they're not old enough to say what it is.
There's the constant pressure of having that kind of responsibility; there are a lot of choices you have to make when raising a child, you just have to hope you make the right ones in order to provide the best possible upbringing.

    Having to control the child.

No matter what you teach a child, they will always throw a strop if they don't get something that they want. Screaming and crying kids is one of the most annoying thing I can think off. Some people say that it is the parents fault, but unless you have actually gone through that stage of trying to raise a child, then you can't put it down to that parents ability.
But I know in a lot of cases, it is the parents fault for neglect and other reasons...

The thing about these issues is they can't be catagorized and rated, as it all depends on circumstance. For some it is a burden, for others it is just another part of what they will look back on and miss. I personally look forward to the day when I have my own kid.

Most difficult problems faced by parents? Well i should say taking care of the family,They have to work earn money to pay rent or something like that. Buy food, clothes etc. For the kids and the entire family, And especially taking care of the babies, They mostly cry all the time that can be a chaos. and also-

When their doughter gets older and one fine days she says i love someone! xD

I didn't do it (as little kid I'd throw tantrums of course, but not certainly not "constantly". And nothing my parents couldn't handle and get under control quickly), didn't do it, and didn't do. Same with my brother.

Such issues aren't because of the child, it's because of the parent. If you can't parent then your child will behave in such a manner.

I would have to agree with all of you and making sure their kids are safe and don't do bad things and the everyday stress of life.

eww, if i were a parent, i know that i'd hate
    Haveing moneys but they have to spend it on wacky things like bills and food and pants and kids, and other non fun stuff, then theres lack of money, so just barely being able to affort to pay for shelter and bills and kids and parts would be hard ;O;

speaking of kids, i bet these youngsters are a handful, not listening and being unappreaciative, and then asking them to spend their pants money on toys and cool stuff.

if said bad kids are really bad, then you have to keep an eye on them
and keeps them quiet, and discipline them, and teach them THEY CAN'T HAVE SHET SO STOP ASKIN UNLESS YOU DONT WANNA EAT /mean

kids are annoying as it is >:(
its okay when your a baby, babies are cute, babies get away with things because its cute, and they cant say hurtful things and only want love :'D and food /ramble

Why do people think the ultimate goal of life is to have kids and start a family? It's not like we live in an age where the total population of humans is only a couple million. Last time I checked, we were at 6 Billion people, maybe even 7 billion now.

There's no reason for ones ultimate goal to be making a family, yet it seems that is exactly what everyones is. Because, face it, life ends at the start of a family. Sure, you might be able to go live life again after everyone has moved out of the house and you've entered retirement, but in today's economy, that's not likely.

So I say go live your life, there's always going to be someone to continue the human race, but they're not the billionaire rock star, now are they?

It has to do with brain chemistry, not only to do with our instinctive nature, but also our rewarding centre of our brain. Our brain tells us it is a good thing, or rather rewards us (so to speak) when we have sex, it is the same feeling one experiences when eating chocolate.

Plus there is the fact that a person would want their legacy to continue.

I don't experience anything from eating chocolate, what are you on?

Seriously, I hate chocolate. A lot of it anyway. Small amounts, that's ok, but it's always to get to the vanilla ice cream inside the shell of chocolate, but that's about as much as I can stomach in one sitting.

And what a legacy it has been.
