What do you want to happen to Pikachu?

Pikachu isn't going away and isn't going to evolve. It's the most recognized Pokemon out there. Even those that have never watched the anime or played the games probably know what a "Pikachu" is, and more than likely could identify it.

(I actually know a guy who took one of those "Name the original 151 Pokemon" quiz. He's never played the games, watched the show/movies, or read the manga, and he still got 10 of them. Two were Pikachu and Raichu).
 
Pikachu is a cute fellow with powers so strong, it should be illegal. Pikachu is the heart of the Anime. Imagine the Anime with Raichu:

Team Rocket: WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGA─*suffocates*

Ash: Alright, let's go Rai─OUCH!

Random Trainer: X0mG! U KIELED ME WAIL0RDz0rD U B4ISTURD!

Ash: Urgh, I'm sleepy, AAHH!!! *dies*

Raichu goes to the Heinz Factory and gets them bankrupt

Hmmm....Some people just say that Pikachu is highly recognized. But would he be that important if he left in the first episode? If Ash chose Rattata then it would be the star. The other day I was talking to my friend 'bout Pikachu...I mean what the heck? They made Pikachu so it can beat ANY pokemon. It could probably beat Entei if the evil thing wanted to. It KILLED like fifty spearows in the first episode. KILLED. They just vanished when Pikachu used thunderbolt...Imagine power Pikachu would have in Sinnoh. *Shivers*
 
I'm not saying I dislike that whole Pikachu Evolution Chain. I just don't think the story should be focused on a little yellow mouse pokemon as much as Ash.

I have to think logically. I'm not the type of person that can't usually...
 
I think pikachu is what drew me into watching the show and think he is the catch that makes people watch look at the thing he so small and cute!
 
I guess Pikachu's a bit overrated, but I'm a sucker for it, it's just so cute. Plus, it's like the star of the show, it's difficult to dislike it!
 
I don't really know guess it's a classic so it should stay but it also gets boring at times and it always uses the same attacks sometime it only uses one attack AKA Thunderbolt
 
Pikachu is never leaving. That's a good thing, to me. I think it should stay the same. Many people want it to evolve, but that would ruin it. The only okay thing that should happen is for it to run away and come back. That happened before.
 
Ash should evolve pikachu already!! it mean its been like 9 or 10 seasons n pikachu still looks the same! *in my opinion

Pikachu is the mascot of Pokemon. It'd be the dumbest thing to do to the anime.

As for in-universe reasons, Pikachu doesn't need to evolve. It doesn't go along with Ash's speed+power strategy.
 
Pikachu is overrated, buuut I remembering liking the thing before it became hugely popular with the US release. :/ So, it was my favorite then, and it's still my favorite now. Although, when I first learned about 'Pocket Monsters' I dsliked Pikachu, and Ninetales was my favorite.. who was only 'Kyuukon', at the time.
