As the title says what is your political stance/party. Liberal, Conservative, Socialist, Fascist, Independent or do you bounce between parties or perhaps do you just not care.

I see myself as a Conservative on most issues. I support a strong military defense, tougher crime laws, especially capital punishment (which I wish we in Canada still had) against abortion and same-sex marriage and against higher taxes.

I can't wait until someone derails this thread with their own self-righteous fanaticism. :P

Personally, I'm a Libertarian with some Conservative tendencies, especially on social issues. ^_^

Mostly Liberal with a sprinkle of Fiscal Conservative tendancies.
I support gay marriage, oppose abortion except in life threatening situations, support Universal Healthcare, and am against the Iraq War.

    Facism? FACISM? Are you serious???

    EDIT: Capital Punishment BAD.

I tend to be conservative, though I lean liberal on the issue of capital punishment. I oppose the death penalty for the same reason that I oppose abortion.

As long as this remains a civil poll and doesn't fall into a debate or flamewar, I don't see why this can't stay open.

That said, I consider myself a moderate liberal. I tend to lean liberal on most issues, but I oppose abortion (as well as capital punishment, for that matter) except in cases where the mother's life is in danger, rape, incest, etc. I'm also more conservative on some other smaller issues, but for the most part I lean toward the left.

For the most part, I try to care less. I guess when it comes down to it, I'm some hybrid between a conservative and a liberal. I don't really care about gay marriage, but I strongly oppose abortion, unless there's a serious circumstance, and even then, I'd still prefer the adoption solution after the baby was born. That's another story, though. But yeah. Predominantly not caring.

I'm conservative on most issues, especially fiscal ones. Socially, I'm more towards the center.

Independent. I don't like picking a side, because there are things on every side that I disagree with and some things I do agree with. Plain and simple. Being independent really lets me keep my own opinion, too.

There's no mistaking me for anything but liberal (more schools, fewer prisons), but I don't identify with any particular party so I would also call myself independent.

I don't like to identify with any party, as none of the major ones tend to represent my views in general. I find that both the left and the right have policies that I agree with, and policies that I disagree with, and it seems to be in roughly equal proportion each side. It's also not unusual for me to oppose things that both the left and the right tend to agree on.

    So yeah. Independent. XD;

This thread is impossible to answer, however. As Liberal and Conservative are both ideologies, not parties. You should have either put the thread as "What is your Ideology" and put the options as Liberal, Con, or Moderate. Or as "What is your Political Party" and asked Democratic, Republican, Green, Libertarian, and so on.

I'll revive this thread as "what is your ideology".

Social-democrat, common voter of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, with a nice share of full left tendencies (also a supporter of the Spanish Communist Party, sometimes).

My views and ideals are typically pretty liberal. I probably fall somewhere in social liberalism or social democracy. I don't align solely with a particular party when I vote though--I weigh all my options each time and make my decision based on which issues I think are the most important and each party's stance on them at the time, etc.

I'm a staunch supporter of Third Way; whereby a political party transcends both the left and the right and assimilates elements from both in search of a better option. Though I've always been a fan of democratic socialism; I think either end of the spectrum is equally as bad as each other when taken to extremes. Do we save money; or spend money? Do we better the infrastructure for the people; or entice richer people into the infrastructure? Should people fear the government; or should the government fear the people? Any evil can be a solution and vice versa; which is why I think all systems are inherently flawed and Third Way is really the only viable option.

I've heard the term commu-fascist before, I think that best describes me.

I'm probably as Liberal as they come... not an ounce of Conservative in me.

I only like facist (military ideal), left-wing (socialist ideal), and very right-wing parties (capitalist ideal). The middle parties don't have an interesting purpose.
