Is there a single pokemon out of all the pokemon games you've ever played that you would say you have the biggest bond with?

For me it's Centi, my Centiskorch. My first ever playthrough of gen 8, i wanted a team with only my favorites. but when I was in the wild area there was a sizzlepede raid den, I haven't seen it before, so I checked it out. I immediately loved the Lil bugger and replaced it with my starter. He's a lv 100 centiskorch now and I will transfer him into every game I'm able to use him in. Which is none at the moment, lol.

I'd say the Pokemon I have the closest bond with is the Ampharos (no nickname) that I used in my first playthrough of SoulSilver. It was the "ace" of my team and by far the highest leveled, I remember a family friend from Japan coming over when I was about 8/9 (he was 16 at the time) and me challenging him to a battle; I thought my trusty LV59 Ampharos would be the trump card that would secure my victory. Of course I lost because he was twice my age and all his Pokemon were LV100; but it's still a fond memory of mine. That save is deleted now though and I never transferred him, so he's no longer in existence.

Hm. Finds it hard to pick one. Becomes attached to one or two in most playthroughs. Cannot really rank them beyond that. Maybe a Talonflame in Ultra Sun? Took part in the one and only (failed) Nuzlocke run. Became the egg hatching Pokemon. (Used a Talonflame in Y for the same purpose. Began with a little attachment towards the species.) Spent a very large amount of time breeding with it.

Will mention the Pokemon with the best story behind it. Holds some attachment to it. Kind of qualifies. Watched someone play a Nuzlocke live. Replaced all their encounters with Wonder Trades.

Tried to time it to trade with them. Succeeded (multiple times). Received their starter, a Treecko, named "I Give Up". (Usually lost their starter to Wattson or before then. Tried "Beat Wattson", "Beat Wattsun", and "Beet Wattson". Blocked all of those, for some reason. Gave up on naming it.) Took that Treecko and bred it a bunch to get good IVs and moves. Named all of its descendants "Tenacity", in reference to the original Pokemon and all the breeding. Managed to trade a Tenacity back to them. Beat the Elite Four with it.

I had played all generations except the ones which are on Switch, hence finding only one is hard! It should be Speed Boost Blaziken for me. He had helped in cracking through matches many times, and I usually send him earlier in the matches,

If I exclude him, then it should be Tyranitar. It does have lots of weakness, but I always liked to use it, and always catch him whenever I find him. It is hard to train as well, because of stacking weakness and also late evolution. We can teach him variety of coverage move ranging from Surf to Ice Beam, Dragon Claw to Thunderbolt. His Sp.A is also quite decent, so those special moves also deal good damage. Whatever the shortcomings Tyranitar had got, I always like to use him, whichever the game I am playing!

So bad that Tyranitar was given that kind of typing despite have massive coverage options and nice Max-min stat.....

My shiny Pheromosa from Shield's Dynamax Adventures comes to mind. I've regularly gone camping with it and had it follow me around just to spend some time with it as I got it after my game was already complete =3

Aside from that there's some starters coming to mind, but the above feels like the best fitting answer atm.

This is a tough question for me since I tend to RP my protags, so any bonds they have with their team feel 'attached' to the individual rather than to me...

Well, I still have my first Charizard from my first playthrough of Fire Red, but I'm not as 'attached' to him as, say, my first Nuzlocke character was to her Vaporeon... >_>

Hmm, I think I'm going to go with my Absol Echo. He didn't even technically exist until recently, originally being a revision of a different Absol that I used in my second (and thankfully successful) Nuzlocke of X. The problem with that Absol is that I eventually got a dog IRL who I named after her, so for privacy reasons I 'redesigned' the character into Echo as he is now on paper, but still hadn't actually 'made' him in a game. Since Absols are shockingly easy to catch and use in BDSP, and since I'm currently playing through SP right now, I was finally able to make him 'real', and the backstory I've got for him just from my run of SP has been really great so far! So while Echo isn't anything like 'my first Pokemon' or even 'my first Absol' or what have you, he's still the one that I've put the most time into lorewise of any of the Pokemon I've had over my playthroughs.

For a long time it was Noko, my chained Shiny Dunsparce from Pearl that I used in my first playthough of HeartGold. In more recent years, however, I've been leaning more into full-odds Shinies. I'd say that the Pokémon I share the deepest bond with now is Chipotle, my Shiny Flareon from X. Found him (as an Eevee) near end of a WonderLocke when looking for rainy spots to evolve Sliggoo. One of my more surprising encounters for sure! I didn't use him much over the years on account of not caring for Flareon's awkwardly stiff model, but it looks so much better in SV where I'm currently maining him. I love seeing him follow me around. <3

Tael, my Shiny Mothim from HGSS, is a close second. I've little doubt he'd be first had Mothim been in more of the recent games, or at least if LA had following Pokémon (never got BDSP on account of still having the originals). Recently learned a way to "clone" him back into the older games (via hax) and have been trying to use him more.

Due to circumstances regarding my past condition I prefer to not speak of, I seemed to have had trouble forming said emotional bonds or feel emotions outside the extreme ones.
So I can only point at a pokemon that kick started my interest into envisioning new pokemon & regions. That one Uxie that would refuse to stay inside the Ultra Ball for reasons not known even to RNG Gods, Alexandria, that has travelled through multiple generations to reach my Moon save file where it lies within the three boxes of legendaries I've hoarded.

It would be this Uxie that would end up inspiring one of the fakemon designs I made in childhood the most. Years later I would proceed to redesign that alongside many other pieces of age-old art I kept around for over a decade, effectively rekindling a passion I once saw as lost to the bounds of a dissociative mind.

It might be my Chandelure (BlazeHeart) and Dragonite (Sammy) in my copy of White 2. I have Chandelure for hatching eggs and switching in to Audino when I'm trying to EXP farm the newly hatched eggs, and Dragonite as my HM slave, funny enough. It's the only non-legendary that can learn Surf, Waterfall, and Fly (in gen 5, at least). They have almost always been in my party for years now and I love them both dearly.

Some other dearly beloved Pokémon of mine are:
    - the team of Pokémon I hacked in White 2 back in the day, my PWT team. Most notably the unkillable Wonder Guard Drapion (holding an Air Balloon, so it is immune to its one weakness Ground), who always ends up being the last one standing
    - my event Diancie that my friend got for me when they bought me Pokémon Y, who I eventually added to my in-game team
    - a Magmar from my brother that I recently evolved into Magmortar, transferred from White 2 to Y to Ultra Moon. He doesn't play Pokémon anymore and I only have a few Pokémon from him when we used to trade together.
    - probably any shiny Pokémon I've ever found. Each one has a wonderful story of how I found it, even the random encounter ones.

it's been so many years now it's difficult to remember where my childhood obsession with my unnamed Quilavas came from, Colosseum was one of my first video games overall and Quilava was the second to last one I caught in the game, it was a really big accomplishment for me to fill out the snag list, and it's design was really adorable & cool at the same time; then having it again in Silver or SoulSilver & using no others in my party was nice x)

otherwise my Suicune, Espeon and Tropius from Colosseum, Zoroark from White 2 and shiny Dragonair from X ! a lot of the pokemon I caught in Blue felt special too growing up, mostly since I only had vhs tapes of the Indigo League anime to watch over and over again at the time, seeing all their stories/roles there made me imagine my own were the same
