A book! The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt.
Why did you buy it?
Well the cover seemed rather haunting and beautiful all at the same time, as if it were trying to show a portrait of a ruined life left behind. It was in a wonderful grayscale that made it so remarkable and striking an--
Yeah. It was marked down from $26 to $3 at the school book store and that's the real reason I bought it. Looking forward to starting it sometime after I finish the current book I'm on. Well, that's not the absolute reason I bought it, but the strongest. I also picked it up because I read on the inside cover flap that it takes place in Venice and that's probably my favorite city in the world.
Did you have to save for it?
Well I had a bit of cash in my pocket at the time, sooo...I guess? I haven't had too much money lately, but I can never pass up interesting books when they're so freaking cheap.
How little/long have you wanted it?
Probably five minutes before I actually purchased it, time waiting in line counted.
What is your next buy?
I have no idea.
