What would your typing be as a gym leader?

  • This is just something I thought up a while ago. :3 So you know how gym leaders always have zany names which coincidentally tie in with the type of Pokemon they use? Well what about your name. Take your username, or real name if you're daring enough, and think really hard about what typing you'd be, purely on your name. Don't take your favourite Pokemon into consideration, or whether the type yields powerful Pokemon or not, just say whatever typing you think your name would go with.

For example, my username is Alternative, which doesn't really do much for anyone, but it could resemble some sort of Alternative universe, or life, which can represent ghosts in my eyes, so I guess my name relates to the ghost type the most.

So, thinking of only your username, what type gym leader would you be?

I can't really fathom what "Zeffy" would be, but since I like Ghost-type Pokemon then I might as well be a ghost-type gym leader.

miju-kun sounds like niju-kun, which is a martial arts in Japan. So therefore, it would be Fighting.

Then again, I originally got the name miju-kun from Mijumaru. So...water.

"-kun", Japanese honorific and most and when I think of the word honorific I picture a temple in my minds, so probably psychic.

    Probably a variety :/.

  • Hmm, deoxys121. Well, gym leader name would probably be a play on this username, something like Deo. And I guess I would be a Psychic-type leader.

My team would be: Alakazam; Sigilyph; Metagross; Gallade; Exeggutor; Starmie

I'd most likely tend to be a Dragon-type gym leader, but, If possible, I'd be a Elite 4/Champion, and just have a regular team.

  • Team Rocket Grunts tend to use a lot of Poison types, like Ekans, Koffing, Grimer, and Zubat, so mine would probably be Poison with leveled-up or evolved versions of all the old Rocket standbys.

    Toujours comes from "tous les jours", which means "all the days", so my type would be...all? xD My name doesn't lend itself well to things like that. ;_;

  • Destiny Demon... Sounds kind of demonic and mysterious... So probably Dark/Ghost type. One or the other or both.

  • Flying. While my favorite types are Grass and Bug, most of my favorite Mons happen to be part Flying.
Yeah right, I should read the OP before typing. Hmm, that's pretty difficult. How about dark, since my name has something negative about it? Or normal, since I took the idea from Garfield and if Garfield were a Pokemon, his typing would probably be Normal. If only because there is no Fat type. Ahahahahaha.

  • Kind of Anti-Climactic, since Karpman is the Water Type Gym Leader in the hack Pokemon Brown [and its sequel, Rijon Adventures], so yeah, I guess I'd be a Water Type leader, especially since a "Carp" is a kind of fish and the leader in the hack draws his name from Magikarp, a water type.

  • "TheSmartOne" makes me think of intelligent Pokémon, and what comes to mind there is Alakazam. So going by my username I would be a psychic specialist.

However my given name Savannah means "a grassland of tropical or sub-tropical regions". Therefore I'm thinking either Grass (obvs) or Normal (Rattata, Sentret, etc).

  • "Lightblind" if taken literally meaning "blind to light" shows relevance to dark type Pokémon. Darkrai comes to mind as an example. Thinking more, It also reminds me of "The Fog Horn" by Ray Bradbury. Yeah, don't know how I got that either, but I'm feeling a dragon-type vibe from that one.

On another hand, my given name in full is a synonym for 'friendship' which I see tying in with Blissey, for one. That's the normal type.

I'd go with the dragon-type. Dragonite for sure would be with me.

@Tojours: Maybe you should have normal pokemon? Shound perfectly fine for me:P

Shengar is my created name. What does it mean? I don't know it myself. But it close to "legendary" so probably Dragon type suits my name but I prefer Ice type any way.

  • I took "gun" and just stuck another n at the end. It also was the surname of a fictional character I created when I was writing a story, but this was yeaaars ago.
Anyway, a gun makes me think of Steel or Fire-type Pokemon, which I'm totally fine with. :)
