  • Favorite band: Lamb of God
Why: Why? Because it's Lamb, lol. Lamb is amazing live, for they put on ONE HELL OF A SHOW. Plus, I'm from the 804 area meaning, I have to at least show some respect to them. Also, their music gets me pumped up time after time..

  • My favorite band is Bullet for my Valentine because they are awesome, I actually like all of there songs and no all of the words by heart for every single one

I used to like them, though I never realized why. I went back and attempted listening to them and found completely repugnant. Oh, well, musical taste grows with experience.

Alright, by looking at my name, do I even need to say the first one?
Well, my reasoning is mainly because I like heavy rock, and they're just that. Amazing guitaring, amazing drumming, and great singing.
My favorite song by Disturbed- The Night

Now the other, some of you can tell from my title. Pink Floyd
I like them because, well... I can't think of ANYTHING wrong with any of their songs. They have the best lyrics I've ever heard, they have magnificent instrumentals..
My favorite songs by Pink Floyd- Brain Damage and Eclipse

  • Wow, a lot more metalheads here than I thought there would be.

But in all seriousness. I have such a variety of music that I listen to it's hard to pick just one.

    but to name a few:

Girl Talk, Say Anything, Pink Floyd, the Mars Volta, August Burns Red, and Dave Matthews Band. All these bands are just amazing and their music gets stuck in my head. Not much more to say. I listen to a lot of Jazz as well, but I can't point out just one artist.

On the week of July 5th, iTunes had a free single of the week from a band I had never heard of. Being intregued by the album artwork I saw, I decided to check it out. Now, normally, I find no interest in the Free Single of the Week, so I don't really bother to really check it out. I usually go to see what it is at the start of every week, listen to about 5 or so seconds of it, and that's it. I continue browsing the massive library of media iTunes holds.

Last week, they had a single called "Next in Line" as the free single of the week. It was from a band known as Meese. I listened to a few seconds of it, and found it kind of boring, but decided to get it. I downloaded it and ignored it for a week and a few days. Just yesterday, actually, did I bother to actually listen to it. I... I love it. With that said, Meese is now my favorite band, followed by Muse.

    Naming one could kill me.
    Ah well.

    Sonic Youth.

They have a style to rock which has never been done before they were formed and has since never even been attempted.

Their mix of grunge-like, soul-ripping, sometimes improvised guitar riffs and solos mixed with some beautiful harmonies and some complete outrages has basically changed my life...They don't have one singer..At one point everyone in the band has sung their piece, whilst the others rough out their instruments to the best of their awesome abilities.

With 16 studio albums too date and not one at fault..Any serious rock fan would be foolish too shove Sonic Youth off of their shoulder.

    Favorite Band: Gorillaz

Reason: They have a sound that I can enjoy. Each song has different distinct beats which I think it something very rare to find in a time when most music all sounds the same. Plus Damon Albarn, the lead singer is delicious.

  • Hands down my favorite band is MegadetH.

Constantly drifting in Metallica's shadow, I've always believed Dave Mustaine had a lot more talent when it came to speed picking. He knew how to shread his guitar and produce the mad thrashing sound that made Thrash Metal popular in the 1980's and 90's. Mustaine practically invented his style of singing (snarling) and with great line-ups including people like Marty Friedman, David Ellefson, and Chris Broderick (sorry Glen) the music managed to avoid being stale after over 25 years.

  • Band: The Killers
Reason: They have such interesting lyrics. The beats are very catchy. There's something about their music that is just plain addictive. The lead singers voice is also addictive. It's hard to explain what is so great about them, I just find them amazing. 'Mr. Brightside', 'Read My Mind', 'For Reasons Unknown'. Just listen to those songs and you'll understand.
