  • Working on a new play through on emerald now... In mauville with:

    Combusken lvl 25
    Kirlia lvl 23
    Lombre lvl 23
    Aron lvl 24

Nice team man! I love all those Pokemon. I'm at Lavaridge Town right now with Sceptile, Magcargo, Kirlia, Tentacruel and Linoone. First time I have used Magcargo and Tentacruel in a playthrough and I am being pleasantly surprised :)

Bought LG (first time playing) a few months ago whilst saving up for the Gen 6 games and my team is as follows (just completed the sevii island quest) all lv 54:
Ninetales- Fire blast, flamethrower, will-o-wisp and confuse ray
Blastoise- H pump, H canon, W pulse and R Dance
Primeape- Low kick, B Break, Cross chop and Double-edge
Pidgeot- Fly, Ace, Wing Attack and Toxic
Raichu- Shock wave, T bolt, Quick attack and T wave
Dewong- Ice beam, Surf, Waterfall and Rest.

I was severely under-levelled for the elite four (around 43ish), because I have this habit of wanted my entire party on the same LV but somehow I beat them I was literally sweating with the last fight against Blue lol

Right now in Dewford town with a lvl 21 Grovyle and a lvl 20 Lombre.
Having a hard time on defeating the gym leader, so that means some grinding in the caves.

  • MOVESETS I always find people's choices interesting.

I saw someone took Pidgeot through Firered Elite 4. I trained Pidgey so many leveks to get mirror move for the 4 Argh.

Currently I am training what I imagine Ash's water team would be :-

    Gyarados From my original team,
    Dragondance
    Waterfall
    Hydropump
    Ice beam

    Poliwrath
    Hypnosis
    Water Pulse
    Rain dance
    Want - Submission

    Tentacool
    Surf
    Sludge bomb
    Want - Supersonic + barrier

Lapras + Krabby + omanyte, all untrained..

I also saw somebody had bulk up on Poliwrath. I like this move, haven't used it ever :0

  • I've erased my previous Emerald game after long time no playing.
I don't remember the move sets very well but

    Gardevoir -
    Psychic
    Hypnosis
    Calm mind
    Thunderbolt

    Blaziken -
    Blaze kick
    Aerial ace
    <insert fighting type move here>
    ???

    Glalie - (was useful)
    Earthquake
    Toxic
    Ice beam
    ???

    Mightyena - Leftovers (was useless)
    Swagger
    Double-team
    Crunch
    ???

    Hariyama -
    Bulk up
    ???
    ???
    <fighting moves and all>

    Ludicolo - Leftovers (was useful)
    Surf
    Leech seed
    Giga drain
    Rain dance

I might have consecrated more time to this game but I was not that invested into the post-league quest.

  • Well the most recent time I did Leaf Green, which was finished earlier in the month, my team consisted of Venusaur, Raticate, Primeape, Fearow, Jynx and Jolteon. A lot of early game ones, but those first four did me extremely well even late in the game.
