Typhlosion, Steelix, Ampharos, Honchkrow, Ambipom, nidoqueen. I'm actually quite proud of this time i've trained on Soul silver so I have yet to trade over the many great pokemon I have on Platinum lol

Ive been thinking a lot on what Pokemon I should have on my team and I think I finally have an idea. I'm going to have:

That's my non-legendary team. If I had my Mewtwo in there, I'd have different pokemon.

But that is just a rough play-through. In my final play-through, I'll have a totally different team, and I'll use a lot more than just six Pokemon.
One thing is for sure for that future team. I'm going to have Chikorita, and eventually a Meganium in my party, probably as a lead, because the first time I played Crystal, I had a Chikorita, and I love it.
