  • My current team consists of Espeon, Feraligatr, Luxray, Ninetales and Medicham.
I haven't decided what my 6th pokemon will be. But then again i'm thinking about making a new team that specializes in either psychic or ghost types~ Or maybe steel types?

  • Well...originally went wth Chikorita because I'm cool...however....Chikorita is fugly, Bayleef is weak, Meganium looks like it's crying. It's horrible, both overworld,AND from behind. And in front.

Then I used Cyndaquil a few times....but lost patience with the rest of my team-too hard to level up.

    So....my current plan is:

    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?

    Toto|Chichi|Rara|Hassa|Quiqui|Marizu

That is my Johto team. For Kanto, and Red:

    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?
    What's Your Team?

  • Since I've finally figured out who I want on my team for my battle with Red and started raising them, I'll post them here. They are the Pokémon in my signature. Three of them are EV trained, three are not. Some of the moves and items I intend to use in the "ultimate showdown" aren't decided yet because I still have a lot of training to do.

    Franz / Mr. Mime @ ?
    (EV trained)
    -Reflect
    -Substitute
    -Psychic
-Magic Leaf (may be replaced w/ a different move)

Toaster / Typhlosion @ Flame Plate
    -Swift
    -Flamethrower
    -Blast Burn
    -Focus Blast

    Strike / Raichu @ Magnet
    -Fake Out
    -Volt Tackle
    -Thunderbolt
    -Strength

Pinky / Steelix @ Wide Lens
    -Iron Tail
    -Ice Fang
    -Curse
    -Earthquake

Suikun / Suicune @ Leftovers or Life Orb or Wise Glasses
    (EV trained)
    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Calm Mind
    - ?

CantTuchMe / Shuckle @ Grip Claw
    (EV trained)
    -Acupressure
    -Sandstorm
    -Wrap
    -Rock Slide

Heh, lots of people seem to be using the legandaries, but to each their own. Your team seems a bit defensive and needs some sweepers or healers to complete your set. If your opening with Raichu(Fake Out), i'd suggest using someone else. Although i like Typhlosion and your moveset is decent for him at this point(no breeding/IV breeding)...Also try and diversify your moveset, ie, i like your focus blast and your flamethrower on the same pokemon but like on Raichu if your making him physical, Volt Tackle/Thunderpunch/ Focus punch or Brick Break/ Iron Tail or for the Special Raichu, Thunderbolt, Nastyplot(Pichu learns it at level 18) Focus Blast and Filler move.

I'm still looking at different team makeups so many pokemon that i like/love.

Here are a few of what I have already (i'm 14 badges in, took a break to do some gts and leveling and pokemon finding/safari building)

Mamoswine(Haven't seen many people using this pokemon, he's amazing) (Ev Trained for Attack and Speed. Level 50 atm, knows Earthquake, Ice Shard and Ice Fang and Stone's Edge i think.......

Jolteon(I actually breeded 25+ eevees till i got one of each nature and evolved them to the appoapriate evolutions)....
Has Choice Specs (EV trained for Sp. A and speed) (Timid Nature)
Knows Thunderbolt, Hidden Power, Shadow Ball, and still trying to fill in the last slot...

Dragonite(just evolved...yay!), Dragon Claw, ExtremeSpeed, Waterfall, and Thunder Wave atm, but may get something else..., EV for Attack and speed (Timid)

Vaporeon (semi wall till i can get it WIsh or get Blissey)

Goal set teams i'm trying to build for Red are:

    Mamoswine(Lead)
    Lucario(Mix Sweeper)
    Vaporeon(Wish/Wall)
    Jolteon(Special Sweeper)
    Dragoonite(Phy. Sweeper)
    Gardevoir(support/statuser/Wall)

    or/and

Houndoom(just got it gonna start breeding them later tonight) (Lead or Mix attacker not sure yet)
    Garchomp(phy sweeper)
    Blissey(Sp. Wall/Healer)
    Togekiss (Special sweeper)
    Rhyperior/Dusknoir(walls)
    Lucarior/Infernape/Heracross(Phys/Mix Attacker)

Items would be Choice Band for the phy sweeapers, Choice Scarf for Jolt and Choice Spec for most of the rest and if i can find some recovery items to hold then i'd use them on my walls like Leftovers.

Trust me, it's actually quite an offensive team (other than Shuckle) the way I use it and the way EVs are spread on Suicune and Mr. Mime. But keep in mind, this is just an in-game team. In-game is, for me at least, more about having fun and using the Pokémon you like as opposed to the way competitive battling is. That said, I don't really have a "lead," and healers are unnecessary because items can be used in-game.

As a side note, Raichu knows the moves it does (Fake Out and Volt Tackle) because I caught it in the Yellow Forest that way :P And as far as legendaries on the team, I used to be entirely against it as well, but I decided this time around that it would be fun to try it, and so far I'm right. I had Ho-Oh with me for a while and then switched it to add Suicune, so I at least only had one legendary on my team. It's actually really fun to imagine NPCs' reactions when you whip out the legendary Ho-Oh in the middle of a battle :D
