Sean shifted his backpack from one shoulder to the other again as he walked along in the city, pretty much lost without hope now. "Why are cities so big, Eev?" the boy asked his Eevee, who just cocked his head and smiled at him, his tail wagging lazily behind him. Sean bent down and scratched his pokemon's head before continuing again, hoping desperately that he would be able to find the building.

Eventually, after many wrong turns and dead ends, Sean made it to the station. "Here we are, buddy ol' pal," he said, smirking down to his Eevee. In response the pokemon yawned and settled on the ground, his tail swishing lazily back and forth.

"That doesn't mean you can lay down now," Sean said smiling "You can go back in your pokeball, if you want." As soon as Sean had said 'pokeball' Eevee was up and bouncing around, being as energetic as ever.

"It wasn't a threat, man, it was a suggestion." Shaking his head Sean entered the building and showed his ID to a couple of people in lab coats before being directed to a room with the other winners of the competition. Eevee ran into the room first before Sean could stop him and jumped up on a chair, which he promptly fell asleep in.

What a good first impression that'll make, having an Eevee running around wild, Sean thought, but couldn't help smiling a little as he walked in.

"Hey, amigos," he said, lifting up his Eevee and putting him on his lap as he sat down with two other trainers who had been talking. There was only one girl in the group, which was a little odd, but the boy that looked like he had come from an anime convention was a little weirder.

To each his own, Sean thought, but said "I'm Sean, by the way." They didn't look like a very social group, sadly. Oh well, there would be at least one person to talk to. Hopefully.

  • Now a few more trainers had entered, and still it appeared as if Fern was the only girl, but that didn't matter. Instead, she spent her time focusing on what the other trainers were doing.

A few of them were making small talk, and a few had their pokemon out of their pokeballs. One trainer seemed to be jotting down notes on some kind of notepad, but among the increasing conversation and multiple bodies now beginning to crowd the small room, it was difficult for Fern to confirm these thoughts. It seemed like the friendships that would eventually form among this group were slow to start.

Getting a little bored now, Fern began to wonder what it would be like on the moon. Probably just a lot of grey dirt, black skies, and craters. But it could be very interesting to, and she may make some kind of huge discovery that could help people. Or something like that. But for now, Fern wanted to have one of her pokemon out, possibly to say 'hi' to the other pokemon in the room.

After deciding that she didn't want to make the place any more crowded than it already was, Fern sent out one of her smaller pokemon; Yellow Jack. A beam of light flowed out of the red and white sphere that Fern had pulled out and revealed a wasp-like pokemon with enormous stingers. Jack certainly wasn't the best-tempered of Fern's pokemon, but a quick glare from his trainer let him no that this was no time to be unreasonably attacking other pokemon. Rolling his eyes, Jack began to buzz around the table while Fern kept herself entertained watching him.

Marcus wasn't paying much attention to procedings as he stared blankly at the door. Nobody was talking to him so he didn't need to talk to them. The doors opened, interupting his stare. Someone walked in. He looked in his mid-twenties and an albino. Marcus didn't like the look of him and looked down to Sam. The pokemon had a yellowish glint in his eye. Sam blinked and the glint was gone. He looked to Marcus and an unsaid question was replied with an unsaid answer. This guy was bad news. Marcus wasn't sure yet but he had a feeling.

Marcus wondered how many trainers had been inside the Silph Co. Building and how many of those had seen the interesting bit of engineering called the Masterball. He decided to test the trainers. He had swiped one from a table in his dad's study when he left for the tournament. He knew it worked because it wasn't among a pile of tools. It was currently sitting in his bag, surrounded by a pile of clothes. He opened the bag and started to rummage.

When he had found it Marcus realised that another finalist had arrived. This one had a butterfree. It appeared to have a feeling of self importance, sitting on a chair too big for it. Marcus smiled, he liked to see things like that. Then a noise caught his attention. An Eevee preceeded another trainer in. A hyperactive Pokemon by the looks of it. There was nothing wrong with them it was just that they tended to exhaust their trainers. He wondered what the Pokemon would be like as an Umbreon.

Marcus sighed and pulled the Masterball out of the bag, placing it gently on his legs. He zipped up the bag and then looked up. He watched the man in the corner carefully as he placed the piece of master engineering on the table in front of him. Marcus watched the room for reactions, this would give him and idea of what type of trainer they were. Sam was back to meditating again. The pokemon was perfectly still and had his eyes closed. Marcus wondered what he would do with the Masterball, he didn't intend to use it ever, it was just a kind of keepsake, to remind him who he was and the path he had chosen.

  • After a while, it seemed to Roth that no more trainers were entering. Roth wasn't sure if this meant all the finalists were here or not, but it seemed so. He could tell that almost everyone was observing the other people to find out who they were. Heck, one guy in the corner who looked close to being albino was even taking notes! Roth made a quick count of all the people in the room: himself, Fern (that girl he'd talked to earlier, who'd been here first), a guy who looked fairly likeable and only a few years older than Roth (he came in third), a kid who didn't look too much older than Roth who came in fourth (he had a weird glove on his left hand), an interesting character wearing what seemed to be an homage to his favorite Pokemon (he had what looked like fully functional tails...oh, and he came in fifth), a kid who looked fairly short for his age who came in sixth, that albino guy taking notes in the corner came in seventh, a man with a Butterfree who thought it could completely occupy a chair (he came in eighth), and lastly, there was a guy who looked fairly laid-back (perhaps a little carefree, too...)...he came in nineth.

Roth cocked his head and thought for a second. There were supposed to be ten winners, right? Where was the last one? Perhaps he was just a little late...at least, Roth hoped that was all...

((OOC: Wow, sorry for the rambling and extremely bland post...maybe I shouldn't have posted this. I just felt like wasting a little time, I guess...sorry, again.))

Yozora watched as the kid pulled out a master ball, and glared at the kid, not of jealousy, but more of contempt. He had a masterball and in Yozoras eyes a masterball was not the tool of a true trainer. Admittedly yozora had gotten his siblings with out the aid of battling them, but even then, Yozora knew how to respect battling a pokemon in an attempt to capture it. A masterball took that out of the equation. Oh the temptation to have Hera smash it was great, shared by Hera whom Yozora could feel tensing and bristling slightly. But Yozora had been raised better, so with a raise of his hand he calmed down Hera, who nodded but continued to glare at the trainer and his master ball.
"Calm down if what's in there if why he won a top ten spot, then he's not worth our time, it either that or he did with out the use of a master ball and he's just showing he thing off to show how we should be in aw." Yozora whispered before settling down closing his eyes. "stupid human." This last bit was barely audible past Yozoras lips.

  • The room was filling rapidly, much to Aza's pleasure. Clicking his pen off, he closed his notebook and scanned about the room. He noticed with the slight flicker of a frown that he was receiving some wary looks. Tilting his head towards these trainers, he offered a small smile to soothe their curiosities. Inwardly, he was frowning.

'So cautious from the start... perhaps I've analyzed this incorrectly.' He mused, clucking his tongue. 'I thought they were going to be the usual boisterous, perky, peppy crowd but... this makes things more interesting.'

Aza chuckled, stretching back into his chair, glancing up as Yanmega shifted to accustom. He stared at the Pokemon for a minute, before gesturing to the air. Yanmega took flight instantly, tilting her head towards her master, awaiting a command.

"Ease." Aza murmured to her, and the Pokemon nodded, choosing to glide over to the various Pokemon in the room. She noted a Riolu meditating, and chattered mischievously to herself. Approaching, she circled above it a few times before suddenly plopping upon its head, buzzing.

Marcus looked over at Yozora and saw his distaste. He smiled and opened the ball to show it was empty. "I have never used it before and I never intend to. I keep it as a reminder of my past." He said calmly. "My Dad was one of the researchers who invented it and I just like to keep it." Marcus reached into a side pocket of his rucksack and pulled out a screwdriver.

Marcus had taken apart some ordinary pokeballs to find out how they worked and had a small and vague idea. He had always wondered what made Masterballs so effective. The open Masterball lay on the table in front of him and for a moment Marcus held the screwdriver still and planned his next move. He was about to start dismantling the ingenious invention when a Yanmega landed on Sam's head. Marcus put down the screwdriver and sat patiently, this would be interesting to watch.

Sam didn't move as the Yanmega landed on his head. The Riolu let the Yanmega settle down before ducking suddenly. Then he rolled off the chair and rose into a fighting stance, unsure whether or not to attack. Marcus sighed, "Stay calm, we don't want a fight." He calmly stated, turning to face the Riolu and the Yanmega.

"Showing things like that off, only says three things about a person." Yozora stated. "That they are arrogant, or rich, or have a very rape pokemon, the last two make you targets for criminals, and the first just makes people want to knock you off of what ever high ponyta you're on." Hera nudged her brother getting Yozora to look at the spectacle with the Riolu and the Yanmega. "Be ready." He whispered getting a nod even as he reached under his cape and gripped to pokeballs in his hand.

ooc// To be perfectly honest, this seems to have stopped. The RP host hasn't posted recently and I have a bad feeling that she/he is off RPing in another RP and has lost interest in this which is a shame.
