  • The old thread died out so time for a remake.

This one is simple, which Champion did you find the hardest in the Pokemon games?

I have not battled Iris as champ yet but for the ones I have, I have to say Cynthia. Her Garchomp is a beast and her Gastrodon can be really tough also. And I believe her Pokemon all have perfect IVs.

As for the rest. Blue was pretty tough in blue, but as I became more experienced he got much easier. Lance was really underleveled IMO. Steven was super easy if you chose Blaziken or Swampert. Wallace was just annoying and should have never been champion, I mean you just battled a water specialist why make you have to face another. And lastly, Alder. I almost voted for him, because his Quiver Dance Volcarona is REALLY good, but a good rock move cripples him easily.

This is my thought. I may change my opinion after I get my Black 2 copy I am waiting on. 1 month 5 days!

I think Blue is the hardest (In the original Red/Blue, not the remake). His highest level is 65, which is really high!
And I agree with jellicentfan1, Lance was horribly underleveled. The easiest champ IMHO.

  • I'm going to say Cynthia. Like the others have said, Lance was way underleveled, and I haven't battled any of the other Champions so I'll have to say Cynthia.

Imo Steven. I chose Treecko so I didn't have an awesome water/fire type. I had to trade in a Blaziken because Ludicolo wasn't enough.

  • I went with Blue.
When I first played Pokmon Blue I was 4. He is a hard person for a 4 year old to beat, but I did :D (Thank you my beloved Growlithe for beating his last Pokemon Charizard)

  • Blue, when you rematch him in FR LG, his Pokemon have every recovery move (such as Tyranitar with Thunder, Gyaradoes with Earthquake), and i'd have to say Lance in G/S was the weakest, I only had to use Feraligatr to beat him.

  • I'll say Cynthia. I literally spent half an hour trying to beat her. Most of the time went on her Garchomp. It's the longest time I've spent trying to bet a champion, and since I haven't fought Iris yet, I'll say Cynthia.

  • Cynthia. Her Garchomp is a pain to beat and her Gastrodon caused me trouble too (what's with the G's).

Blue was the easiest for me.

I actually found Wallace to be an alright champion and I quite liked the pretence for him being champ (besides he made room for the awesome battle with Steven).

  • I'm going with Blue in FR/LG because of how he has the starter strong against yours.

Cynthia comes in close because of her Garchomp.

  • I had a hard time with Cynthia recently. Her Garchomp's pretty tough. So I voted for her.

  • Cynthia - her team in Diamond is ridiculous because her Garchomp is too good and her Milotic's hard as hell to knock out. Then she has a Lucario which has a retarded moveset. It took me a week to beat her.

Easiest would be Blue in LeafGreen. (tbh Kanto E4 was easy) I beat him with this team Charizard, Vaporeon, Snorlax, Dragonite. I ko'd most his Pokèmon with outrage and my Pokèmon were around level 53-57

  • I remember Cynthia being rather hard, but every time I reset the game I use different Pokemon so the degree of difficulty varies a lot. Out of them all, I'd say Cynthia's been the toughest. Her Milotic could take hits like a freight train. Her Lucario seemed to have insane strength, too @_@

    Cynthia > Steven > Blue > Alder > Lance > Wallace

Haven't played B2W2, so I don't know where Iris fits on my difficulty scale.

  • The Poll Is Incomplete. Reason 1 is the fact that in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, when you talk to blue at cinnabar town, he tells you "i used to be kantos champion, but that was short lived thanks to red" So that means Red should be a option. You dont need a fancy league with an elite 4 to be champion. the system clearly was capable of being bent. Reason 2 is the fact that Cynthea makes a come back in unova and her pokemon are indeed very strong. in fact, stronger than her default diamond, pearl, and platinum team. new additions to her team were included as well, such as her elektross or braviary. So Red should be included and cynthea should be updated as Cynthea BW. Also. Every Champions Team has been upgraded in b2w2 as well. so the poll could be fixed. like this.
    Red
    Blue
    Alder
    Steven
    Steven BW2
    Wallace
    Cynthea
    Cynthea BW
    Cynthea BW2
    Alder
    Iris

  • To me, Everyone was a breeze, except for Lance in HG. I had to migrate a few high leveled legendaries to beat him. As for Iris, I've never battled her as a champion, so I wouldn't know.

Honestly the difficulty varies based on the team of the trainer battling the champion so for some the champions will be easy but, for some they'll have one in particular that was hard to them.
I've never really had a problem with any of the champions, except for the first battle when I'm not sure what to expect from them after that they're all easy.
