There are 51 different Steel-type Pokémon now with the addition of Generation VII (Alola). This includes pure Steel-types and first and secondary Steel-types (Mega Evolutions in this poll count as the Pokémon they evolved from and not a separate evolution).
I decided to make this poll one vote per person, although you can list more favorites (if you have more than one) in a comment if you wish.
I would have to say that Steelix is my favorite Steel-type. I was psyched when Onix gained an evolution in Generation II, and I love Steelix's design, a big, powerful iron snake with a menacing appearance. He is very strong too, capable of several Steel, Rock and Ground moves, as well as most of the moves that involve biting the opponent (Crunch, Fire Fang, Ice Fang and Thunder Fang) that can devastate an opponent, as well as Mega evolving and using Sand Stream to call forth Sandstorm, damaging his opponents further. Close favorites also are Metagross, Skarmory, Magnemite family, Forretress, Klinklang, Aggron, Scizor, Cobalion, Lucario, Bisharp, Empoleon, Aegislash, Ferrothorn, Dialga, Registeel, Genesect and Solgaleo.
