    Volcarona - Bug + Fire - Overall Stats: 550

  • EVs and natures would totally be useful here.

    Regarding movesets:

Swampert is generally seen as a bulky supporter or attacker:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Beam
    -Scald/Roar/Superpower/Protect
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 240 HP/252 Def/16 SDef
    Item: Leftovers

    or
    -Waterfall
    -Earthquake
    -Superpower
    -Stone Edge/Ice Punch
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 172 HP/252 Atk/84 Spe
    Item: Choice Band

Volcarona is better off with Fire Blast or Fiery Dance as its Fire STAB; Fire Blast has more power (but less accuracy), and Fiery Dance has a 50/50 chance to boost Special Attack.

Metagross certainly has the stats to be a late-game Agility sweeper:
    -Agility
    -Meteor Mash
    -Earthquake
    -Zen Headbutt/Ice Punch/ThunderPunch
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 52 HP/252 Atk/204 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Air Balloon/Lum Berry

Metagross also has enough bulk to run a support set or a bulky attacking set:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Meteor Mash
    -Bullet Punch
    -Hammer Arm
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Air Balloon/Occa Berry

    or
    -Meteor Mash
    -Hammer Arm
    -Bullet Punch
    -Zen Headbutt/Trick/Pursuit
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
    Item: Choice Band

    or
    -Meteor Mash
    -Grass Knot/Psychic
    -Hidden Power (Fire)
    -Ice Punch
    Nature: Brave
    EVs: 252 Atk/148 SAtk/108 Spe
    Item: Expert Belt/Life Orb

Aerial Ace may seem tempting as a secondary STAB, but it's not viable because it has low BP and it also runs off of Zapdos' weaker offensive stat. Zapdos can easily get away with just Thunderbolt as its STAB move. It can also pull off defensive sets quite well, despite having offensively leaning stats:
    -Substitute
    -Roost
    -Thunderbolt
    -Toxic/Heat Wave/Hidden Power (Ice)
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 192 HP/64 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    or
    -Thunderbolt
    -Heat Wave
    -Hidden Power (Ice/Grass)
    -Roost
    Nature: Modest/Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Expert Belt

    or
    -Thunderbolt
    -Heat Wave/Hidden Power (Ice)
    -Roost
    -Thunder Wave/Roar
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 248 HP/228 Def/8 SDef/24 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

While Hydreigon has the stats to go mixed, Stone Edge isn't the best option for a physical move:
    -Draco Meteor
    -Fire Blast
    -Superpower
    -Roost/Earthquake/Dark Pulse
    Nature: Rash/Mild
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Life Orb/Expert Belt
(Superpower and Roost are accessible only in B2/W2)

    or
    -Substitute
    -Dragon Pulse
    -Focus Blast
    -Fire Blast/Roost
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers

    or
    -Draco Meteor
    -Focus Blast
    -Fire Blast/Flamethrower
    -U-turn/Dark Pulse
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf

Gengar can easily get away with just Shadow Ball and Focus Blast as its sole offensive moves because Ghost + Fighting have perfect coverage together. Don't bother with Brick Break; it uses Gengar's weaker offensive stat:
    -Substitute
    -Shadow Ball
    -Focus Blast
    -Disable/Pain Split/Thunderbolt/Hidden Power (Fire)
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Black Sludge/Life Orb

  • I'm still having second thoughts about Zapdos and whether to swap him for another electric type Pokemon, i'm trying to basically cover as many elements as i can.
