I'm pretty sure they are only using his name now(I don't even think they are using it, just fans repeating stuff). He even said that the ending of season 1 did go as he wrote it/planned.

Iirc, Urobutcher has bigger influence over 2nd season.

I don't know why people are showing the second or even the first season so much hate, this anime was one of my favourites of 2014 and the first episode was pretty much how I predicted it would go and it was just as amazing as I expected. I don't see why people cut apart an anime too much and pick at little things to make it seem bad. I just sit back and enjoy the fun times.

Expectations, I believe. I expected S1 to be a good, serious show. At least that's what I thought initially - it had that Urobutcher name attached to it, after all. But it disappointed me because all I got was a show that you could only enjoy if you don't take it too seriously. And I took it seriously. Which is where I went wrong and it kinda put a damper on the experience.

I'm not making the same mistake again, though. I'm watching this season just for the lulz - not gonna take it seriously anymore. Inaho's SCIENCE and Slaine being POWAHFULL AND BADASS and everything else is a little more enjoyable to me this time around.

Slaine is adorable but I'm getting exhausted of his obsession with the princess by now. Just let it go, Slaine, and let her die. Latest turn of events in new episode were... pretty surprising to say the least, but I was touched when he ended his farewell with, "father." Almost liked Saazbaum for a split second there.

Slaine getting countship from that feels way too easy, though.
