We all have different reasons for liking different starter pokemon.

Who's your favourite?

I'd have to say my favourite 'Set' of Starters would be the Hoenn Region - I just love all 3! But if I had to choose, I'd say Mudkip. I love its evolutions and attacks - plus its so cute!

I despise the three G4 starters and never really liked any of the forms of G3 except for Blaziken. My order for the base forms would be switched around a bit (Bulbasaur would be higher, for example), but for the most part that's what my order of preference is. Squirtle has always been my favorite, and I like all three of its forms.

Treeko in G3 because theres nothing cooler than a Grass-Type sweeper that learns a dragon move. (mine also had HP Ice so i felt special)

1st Generation Charmander
2nd Generation Chikoreeta
3rd Generation Torchik
4th Generation Turtwig
But i would have to say that charmander is the best.

I find fire types extremely overrated, so of course Charmander is going to win the vote. (or Cyndaquil).. nobody cares about water types anymore :(

Cyndaquil for Fire, Bulbasaur for Grass, and Squirtle/Piplup for Water... Mostly Cyndaquil though.

Charmander for fire, Totodile for water, and Chikorita for grass.

Out of those three Pokemon, I would say Charmander.

My two favorite starters would have to be between Charmander and Torchic.
I think Charmander was great because its last evolution, Charizard could learn fly which was a BIG help. But then again Torchic's last evolution, Blaziken was a great combo of fire and fighting. I know Infernape was the same combo as Blaziken, but I never really cared for him.

For water I would say Piplup and for grass Bulbasaur.

Cyndaquil, Treeko, and Torchic are my favorites. Sceptile and Blaziken are just awesome, I used them all the time in my Emerald game. Cyndaquil's just cute, I love that little guy haha ^^
