Which is better, Alakazam or Espeon?
I see some things in favor of one or the other.
    Zam has:
    higher SA (135 v 130)
    higher SPD (120 v 110)
    ability to learn Recover
    ability to learn element punches

    Espy has:
    Higher HP ( 65 v 55)
    Higher ATK ( 65 v 50)
    Higher DEF ( 60 v 45)
    Higher SD (95 v 85)
Ability to pull off Reflect set
Ability to learn Helping Hand for 2v2 battles

Zam has the SPD/SA to sweep, but gets screwed if it doesn't OHKO.
Espy can actually take a hit (and with Reflect that's a really big hit), but can't get OHKOs as easily as Zam.

Espy with Reflect and 70 DEF EVs can survive a CBed Meteor Mash from a Metagross. That is a big physical hit.

I don't understand how u compare the two... Zam can trick, its speed is faster and speed means alot. Zam doesnt need a high attack and I doubt espy does either... why would you keep zam in against a metagross in the first place? why would you keep espy in against meta in the first place? They are both good pokes but zam has higher speed and sp.atk and thats what a special sweeper needs...
Thats my opinion, and I'm not afraid of being rong

    where is psychic?

physical moves suck on both of them

alakazam will not survive a physical attack without baton passed def unless it is called siesmic toss

those movesets are really silly for that kind of test, go with their strengths which are speed and sp atk.

he was referring to the original question i believe

anyway, espeon with its greater [albeit not by much] durability is used basically to pass CM to the rest of the team while Zam is a hit/trick and run kinda pokemon.
I'm not really in favour of comparing the two but, to ans ur question, I'd go with alakazam..and thats only because i heart RBY pokemon.

Tory, please try to justify why in the world you would give these movesets to these two Pokemon????? I may not be the smartest when it comes to movesets, but even I know that both of them are EXTREMELY weak. Again, please explain to me why.

Just ignore Tory. He's the guy who puts Gentle nature on every single Pokemon. And I don't know where he gets all his stats from because they're all really low.

Alakazam is more useful by comparison. It can deal great damage out the gate, screw Blissey over with trickband, and messup alot of otherstuff with Subencoring. Espeon is similar in damage dealing, but it requires, usually, 1+ turns than Alakazam to do what it really wants to do.

There's also the fact that Alakazam gets those cool punches, making it hard for many things to switch in.

I like Espy because Espy is better at e4 Espy set than Zam is. Espeon can survive any physical attack, except Shadow Ball/HP Ghost, that is thrown at it if it has Reflect up. Morning sun and Reflect make this Pokemon just as dangerous. I just wish it learned Recover...

Hold up, the reason why I didn't put psychic because people always say its sucks, but I don't think psychic sucks.

My Action Replay Max only allows to make shiny pokemon only allows to a Gentle nature and I'm trying to find a code to stop that!

We say it only sucks on certain pokemon, like Gengar, usually, as its only really useful with STAB. Almost any psychic pokemon should have Psychic
