My Real Imaginary Friend

I talk to you all the time
And you answer me
You help me when I need it
And God do I need it
But when I reach out for you,
You're not there
Then I realize you never were
And you never will be,
That's when you stop talking to me.
All night I lie awake
And wonder what I did wrong
Maybe you never loved me all along,
But do I deserve this?
This hurt, this pain,
Over something that never happened
It seems so childish now
Our little fight
I just want you to know,
You were right.
I think I've forgotten how to laugh
All of my smiles are forced.
But the tears come more frequently
And they don't stop
I'm so sick of pretending
Pretending I don't love you,
Pretending I'm alright.
But I do love you,
And I'm not alright.


Just One More

I shake the lighter
My grip gets tighter.
I've used all my fluid lighting bobby pins
Then burning my skin.
I grab my pencil
And dig it into my leg
That's when I pull
My granite based blade.
I carved these letters a thousand times
A crude T
A lopsided W
I always think that's the last one
But it never is
The pain from these scars
Remind me of the pain you left
It's the only way I can be close to you again.

Bahh. Not too great, but I feel like having my work evaluated (:

Something New

I was crying over him,
When I met you
You were a best friend to me,
And I was your best friend too.
Then one day,
my dreams of him,
faded away
And I started to dream of you.
This friendship is such a bore
Now that I want something more
So I'll take a chance,
We can have our own exotic dance
And I'll take you as my own
To cherish, love,
And to hold.


So here's something I whipped up to surmise my life as of now. I suppose this is my own little love blog, written in poem form. Anyways, critiques and comments are always appreciated (:
