Bishopk, let me just say, butt out. i wasn't bringing my personal life into it. what i said TO ICHIDA was something else. i was letting ICHIDA know why i was blowing up so he wouldn't get angry and blow up at me. its not your fight, butt out.

    now...

Nintendo banning hackers is a good idea, but at the same time a bad idea. again, as i've said before, Nintendo should make a filter, so should the filter find anything abnormal, it will stop the trainer from using that Pokémon and force them to go to their PC and pull out a different, non-hacked Pokémon. it should also filter out Legendaries from battles so it makes it a fair fight.

Even if nintendo WANTED to filter that stuff out. They could be spending times doing other things. Hacked pokemon are all over the place. You can hack a perfect IV pokemon in the wild if you wanted to with the correct nature to get around such a filter. There are ALWAYS loop holes around such things and it isnt going to stop people from hacking anyway.

Now that that argument is over (Sorry btw for butting in), I'll be nicer.
A filter is an excellent idea, and doesn't seem that hard to implement. As in, you upload your explosion/volt tackle magikarp and Hand of Nintendo tells itself, "Impossible attacks, hacked pokemon." They kick.
The use of legendaries in battles, however, i disagree. I think that they shoud have implemented all of the local wireless battle options in the Wifi battles. As in, No Restrictions, Standard Cup, Fancy Cup, Little Cup, Light Cup, Double Cup. But, throw in another one where legendaries aren't allowed.

EDIT: I hadn't thought of hacking IVs, but there must be some other way to tell... If not, then it isn't impossible, and those would be allowed. In a perfect world, everyone would be honest and there wouldn't be any problem.

Bishopk, tis ok, tis ok. but that would make sense, though. having different cups much like Pokémon Stadium. even go as far as doing the level restriction and combined level and everything...could be interesting... lol

    My opinion...

The GTS was a good and bad idea. It's good that we can trade around the world. However, because it's in the game, it's harder to filter out hacks. That's why I think that Nintendo should soley rely on friend code exchange systems (like here at PC). They should make the GTS into a computer app that pairs your friend code with the Pokemon you want to trade (along with the level, picture and a red star to indicate if it's a Shiny). Maybe that will help them filter out hacks better...

(I also think that half of the Pokerus cases online are from hackers.)

Well, I had the patience to breed and EV train, and when tournament season swings around, I'll be stomping my way to the top with godly, LEGAL Pokemon, and you won't be let in past the gate. Enjoy. <3

    lol.. me too..

i have like 10 boxes of level 1 pokemon now :(

I received a Pokemon from my sister's friend. *cheater* And when I went to trade it on the GTS, it wouldn't let me. It said, "This Pokemon can not be traded." or something to that effect.

Upon further inspection of the said Pokemon, I discovered that the Pokemon he gave me had perfect IVs, and EVs.

So it seems like Nintendo has implemented some sort of hacked Pokemon filter on the Global Trading System.

    With all due respect,

Actually, there's a specific ribbon that prevents the trading of that Pokemon on the GTS. I'm not sure which, though.

Also, I believe that cheating to get every single Pokemon perfectly packaged in a nice IV bun with a side of perfect EVs defeats the purpose of Pokemon.

Although I do own an AR, I only use it for the amusement of my friends and I with my own little Wonder Guard Bidoof.

    Hackdoof vanished instantly!

I dought it is true... let them cheat.. they aviously baught the action replay for a reason.. just mark the hacked pokemon and put an option in the game that asks if you want to battle hacked pokemon and it you say no.. then you wont battle.. and in trade just check for the mark.. that way ppl can still hack and non-hackers can avoide hackers.. simple

In a perfect world, sure. But the problem is marking those hacked pokémon. Sure, you can buy an AR and make sure everyone knows you use hacked, and not play against non-hackers, but there are always going to be people like the guys in the PC League who tried to use hacking to cheat their way to the top.

I heard of this rumor before, it seems false. However, it'd be nice if it was true.

I have but recently got myself an action replay. I honestly dont care about what people think about me using it the way that i use it. I wont hack the stats on my pokemon because I find that immoral. But i am slowly but surely SICK and tired of having to trade with people for pokemon I will never find because i dont have the previous games. So i personally will use an action replay to get the pokemon that I want. For whatever screening needs to do be done for my teams they can screen all they want and not a single stat on my pokemon will be hacked. I dont mind ev training as much though that gets tedious on its own.

Lol, I am just kidding. :P

But, nah I don't like taking stuff from AR, it makes me feel guilty. I've always been a legit player on all games I play, even 1 player games. I never cheated even on Disgaea. :x

My best friend has an Action replay and he barley ever uses it. He only used it to get key items for the event pokemon. Sure he's given me afew pokemon, but thats only because Pearl is the only pokemon game I own. But we both agree that hacking stats is immoral. If your going to use an AR to get impossible to get pokemon and you don't have time I'm for it. But hacking to your stats and all that crap is just wrong.

For those of you who are wondering what I got from him it was:
    Suicune
    Raikou
    Entei
    Lugia
    Arceus

I'm never going to use them except in PBR when I fight him since legends look amazing in PBR. I scough at anyone whos stupid enough to use a hacked pokemon in the PC league or Wi-fi. I find Ev training fun and every pokemon on my Wi-fi team is legit.

Seconded all the way. Cheating for the things you can't get normally is fine, but hacking for attacks & stats...is just wrong, especially if you then try to use them against someone else...

I wont sit here and act like i dont use the thing because i do. I have been ripped off in SOOOO many trades that it lead me to getting one. I had a completely legit celebi and someone stole it because i asked him to clone it. He went and traded it away to someone else. So i said forget it and im getting an action replay to get the pokemon that i want.
