I'm the same. Anyways, a few questions/requests. First, does Toxic Spikes poison Fliers and pokemon who levitate as well? Also, can I have a moveset for a special sweeper Roserade and mixed Infernape please?

Alrighty, I'm looking at making an Outrage Swords Dance Venusaur, Jolly 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe, Sleep Powder/Outrage/Swords Dance, What should I go for as it's last move, either Seed Bomb (120 power after STAB) or Earthquake (more coverage, I think...). Keep in mind this is for an UU team.

    Wow, everybody's getting something new.
    EQ gets my vote.

Hrrm... I just had a thought of some Excel thing I saw on Smogon that checks the average damage of all your moves, I'll check into that and update my post.

    *EDIT*
    UU
Seed Bomb/Outrage get about 71.37% coverage over all of UU after 1 Swords Dance
Earthquake/Outrage get about 69.69% coverage over all of UU after 1 Swords Dance

This also holds true with Standard and Uber, though with different percentages. Keep in mind this is a weighted averaged out based on max Defense and HP of all Pokemon allowed in the tier and usage. Surprisingly, Seed Bomb/Outrage get more coverage in Uber than in Standard, although Venusaur is not viable in uber.

The thing is, based on threats to venusaur what should I use?

EQ is good for fire, Seed Bomb can't do much against Flying or Fire.

On my Gyarados, should I lose Aqua Tail for Hydro Pump?
Also, DDance, what should I get rid of for it?

    Aqua Tail/Hydro Pump
    Dragon Rage
    Bite
    Ice Fang

    Thank you.

Um...WHY would you use Hydro Pump over Waterfall? It's a special move, thus it sucks on Gyara.

Okay. I have now officially started EV training again and I decided to EV train my (coincidentally) Adamant Heracross that I had lying around in my Pearl PC. Now, I have a few questions regarding this Heracross. Here they are:
    King_Lucario said:
    1. My Heracross is Adamant, which means it gains an increase in Attack and a decrease in Special Attack. My Heracross' Attack is currently 105 at Lv.27. However, after a while of searching, I kept coming across the conclusion that at Lv.27, a fully EV'd Attack Stat Heracross should have an Attack Stat of 106. I want to make sure that I am not missing 4 EVs because I need to start EVing other stats. Is that Attack stat wrong or right?

    2. Heracross is a physical Pokemon, no doubt. However, I am currently lost as to what stat I should EV. Should I EV HP in order to withstand attacks or EV Speed in order to strike quickly and inflict as much damage as possible?

    3. The last question. Since Heracross is a physical Pokemon, what attacks should I put on it? I plan to start WiFi battling now and I need a good moveset. I already know that I should put Stone Edge on there, but what other four attacks should I put?

Thank you for your time in helping me fix my Heracross.

Nobody answered my question. What should I do?

    @King_Lucario;

    1. It must have an imperfect IV of 30 instead of 31. It won't matter that much so don't worry.

    2. That depends a lot on what set you're wanting to run. The most offensive Heracross are the Choice Band and Choice Scarf versions. For Scarf (and any other set that's not the Choice Bander), I'd suggest 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 6 HP. The Choice Band version does not need that much Speed, so 106 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Speed would be okay. This spread also works for Sleep Talk versions.

    3. That, again, depends on your set and your team's necessities.

    Gyarados @ Life Orb
    Adamant
    72 HP/252 ATK/184 SPD
    Dragon Dance
    Waterfall
Fill the last two slots with either of these moves: Stone Edge, Ice Fang, or Earthquake. I don't know why you're using Dragon Rage, but seriously, it's just fail in a battle of level 100's.

And as said by Vance, never use a Special attack on Gyarados. It could have been used in Advance due to Gyara's physical movepool being just Physical Hidden Power+Earthquake, but now that Gyarados's physical movepool has been significantly upgraded, those special Gyara sets you see on RS Gyarados are move novelty now than ever before.

Like Fabian said, a DD Gyarados needs Waterfall and Dragon Dance. And Gyarados has a laughable Sp. Atk (specially when comparing to his Attack), so Hydro Pump is not viable at all, don't you think? And when you consider that Dragon Dance increased Atk and not Sp. Atk, you've got no choice but to give up on that idea.

Then again, Aqua Tail is not your best option. Waterfall, while it has -10 BP than AT, has 100% accuracy and a nice chance to Flinch the opponent. Since you'll be faster than most stuff after a Dragon Dance, you'll have many opportunities to Flinch them.

Dragon Rage is a piece of crap move. You'll always do 40 damage with it. Always. It's ridiculously underpowered and never worth a moveslot in Standard play. Change that for DDance.

Bite and Ice Fang is a good combination, so you can stick with that.

T_S had a CB set, you should ask him.

@King Lucario - You may have less than 31 IVs. That would be the problem.
It depends on the set you run. All of the standards run 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd aside from CBCross, which runs 104 HP/252 Atk/152 Spd. What do you want to run?
As for attacks, most sets run Megahorn, Close Combat and Stone Edge.

Look harder. Fabian, I prefer to run max Speed on Gyara for any Non-Scarfed Modest Heatrans.

    try this one from smogon
    kricketune@ salac berry/life orb
    adamant/jolly
    6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Speed
    Sword Dance
    X-scissor
    Brick Break
    Endure/sing/aerial ace

Kricketune is mediocre, even more than beedrill, i recommend using it only for ingame.
