In GSC, I noticed the level of the wild Pokemon (and even some trainers) were terribly lacking. You're training for the Glacier Badge while fighting wild Pokemon that haven't even brushed past level 20. It makes it really hard to train in all three of those games. I can't be the only one to notice. They did it in DP a little bit, as well, but they fixed it for Platinum...well, personally, they overdid it when they fixed it for Platinum. But anyway, for those who noticed the level problem like I did, are you hoping for it to be fixed? I sure am. I like my Pokemon to be at least at the same level as the highest leveled Pokemon in the gym.

Yes, I have. It was annoying when I was trying to train my Lv. 30 and above Pokémon, on POkémon that are barely even Lv. 20. I really do hope that they fix that. I like the Pokémon to be the same level as the second highest Pokémon in the Gym town. Or if there's not a Gym in that town/city, then in a mid-range in between the last Gym town/city and the next coming up.

i agree it was so hard and made me hesitant to breed new pokemon for my team because it would take so long to level up after a while, and kept me from adding newer pokemon to my team

I agree with you, Disco. It's just a pain in the butt. It takes my attention off the game once I get to that part of the game. I will be such a happy camper if it's fixed.

Oh, I'm sure they'll fix it. Platinum had the levels down perfectly: a bit lower than D/P but more of a challenge because of the increased AI level. I really hope they do something like this for HGSS. If the Johto GLs go at the same pace as D/P/Pt then the Kanto GLs and Red will be a real challenge, possibly going into the level 90+ range. And let's not even brush upon the possibility of rematches...

It would just be too delicious.

Oooo. Rematches. I'm not going to get off topic with that subject, though. Anyway, I think if they just do what they did for Platinum it would make it a lot better.

Thats what I am really hoping for, the level improvements. They did a pretty good job in D/P/Pt but it defiantly could be better. I hope it is better then the original G/S. If so, that would be a great way to train and more of a challenge from some opponents.

I noticed it, after a couple of Gyms it started to be a little annoying training with low level Pokemons..

Yes, i can remember the time it took to train. Dx. I used to lose to Silver on purpouse before Ilex forest, so i could get to a good level. And then i'd trample through the game. :D.

Yeah, hopefully they'll change that, but I think there is on hitch. At ecruteak City, after beating Morty it's possible to go East to Mahogany and beat Pryce + Team Rocket before going to Olivine City and Cianwood City. Thats the only hitch, but maybe they'll close off that route and make the game more linear so we can get higher levels there. One place that I think needs Higher Levels though is Route 27/28 because training for the Elite 4 by facing Wild Pokemon that are at most Lv. 33.

    Delicious, like you?
    grrrowl.......
    (Ok, I'll behave now....)
I do like the idea of 90+ leveled pokemon....
that'd REALLY help when I try to get my pokemon to Lv.100...

i hate when people complain about this. theres a reason they did this and theres a reason they'll probably do it again, to make the game more challenging.

Bah....if they REALLY want to make the game harder,
just simply INCREASE the computer's IQ, fer gosh sakes!
In fact, dropping levels does NOT make it any harder...
    IT JUST MAKE IT ANNOYING!!!!!

This is a better idea overall than higher levels. Battle Tower is much harder than higher level trainers.

I do in fact want them to be a higher level, but I really don't see there being a problem leveling up in the second generation games. In fact, I was able to complete the entire story line and beat Red on my first try without any wild pokemon battling (save for the beginning). I also had only beat the Pokemon League twice in preparation for Red.

Yeah, but they could always introduce a new place where you can go to specially train your Pokemon :)

    I'm hopeful

Well, I don't think that they will change the levels (much, if at all) in Johto. But, in FR LG, I thought that the Sevii Islands were great for training. If they do add an aftergame location, I hope it is like that.
