I see by your fanfiction index entry that you're adding legendary Pokémon to the mix, SD. Would it be too spoilerish if I asked what motivated you to do it?
It was a misinterpretation; I interpreted it automatically as legendary Pokémon, which are only one of the possibilities in the umbrella term "ancient legends".
Why am I working hard to prove how wrong I was? XD;

Yeah, I know it's opinion and all, but I dunno. I had a hard time finding interesting fic on BMGf, whereas on FFNet, I managed to dig up over thirty really awesome ones. So, for me, FFNet > BMGf. Unless someone can link me to some really flipping awesome fic with engaging plot on BMGf -- and a lot of it, at that.

Seriously, yeah, Dani and every other writer out there, here's how to write Bill in a nutshell:

1. Always remember that, without exception, he's smarter than you. Unless you can come up with both a time machine and a matter teleporter sometime in the next few years too. This is vital due to the next couple of points.
2. The costume and the teleporter accident (i.e., He was not experimenting with genetics and did not intentionally do that to himself. He wrote a program to separate himself from his Pokémon only because he kinda didn't want to live that way. See The Fly for more information.) were accidents, not something he'd repeat.
2a. Which is to say, for the love of God, people, stop writing trainer fics where all Bill ever does is get stuck in the body/costume of a Pokémon, especially if it takes place after the games/anime.
3. Also, Bill is a serious researcher. Remember that he doesn't have to be used as only comic relief and that a lot of his life centers around his work. In other words, dammit, kids, valuable resource. *motions wildly*
3a. This also means that you've got to be creative in getting Bill interested in anything but Pokémon because Pokémon are his shiny objects. (Show him a rare one, and he'll be sufficiently distracted for awhile.) Which means more character creativity.
4. There's a difference between flamboyant/eccentric and crazy. He will probably not do anything if he knows it's going to either be a bad idea or end up biting him on the rear. (Special especially is hesitant about doing anything that could either get him killed or kicked out of the Pokémon Association. This is probably because he was very close to either over 9000 times.)
5. Here is the spectrum of reactions you'll probably get out of Bill at any given time: Anime: *calm explanation, possibly sounds somewhat sedated* :D Electric Tale of Pikachu: *down-to-earth personality laced with WTF trains of thought... like proposing there's a ring of Slowpoke thieves, collectors, and fences right after a Slowpoke is stolen* Game: *gallows humor, somewhat flirtatious, otherwise calm and laid-back* Special: *FLAIL*
And the rest is just, really, the subtler details you get from working with him for a bit too long. *thumbs up*
But that might have been the correct interpretation after all. I was merely pointing out that it wasn't the only interpretation.
EDIT: I keep getting ninja'd. Lol, do you really think Celio's gay for Bill? . . . actually, I'd have to agree with you on that one. And what sort of tard makes a machine that needs two incredibly rare and valuable gemstones to run? x_x

Hello my name is Mika and I am addicted to Run-on Sentences. I know it is a problem and that is has taken over a good percentage of my life.
Herro~ XD; I've gotten off my lazy backside and drug myself out from the depths of the Pokemon Roleplay Forum to investigate Fan Fiction once more. o3o I've posted a couple stories but I have problems with introductions and they've all gone and hit the dirt. I'm not a horrid writer [Hell, I'm a TESOL with Japanese Major] but by no means am I anything close to Jax or Asty, whom I've been secretly stalking for the past year or two via LJ and vms or anyone amazing like that. o3o I also have the confidence of a newborn Michu pichu in my writing so while I can take criticism, it has a tendency to make me want to just quit writing because I fail. o-o I know, such a demeaning nature but I'm working on it.
I prefer writing comedical sketches and dark fics with unique twists [So I prefer G stories because adorable fluff is just quite simply adorable and PG-16ish because I like to be cruelmeanvicious slightly unkind to my characters. I'm also in the process of writing a guide on how to write an RPG plot for the PRP section. I'm long winded, it's nowhere near done.
I've been writing fiction for 7ish years and Roleplaying for just over 8 so I've got a good bit of experience under my belt, or at least I'd like to believe as much. o3o
Anyways, that's pretty much it, ask more if you'd like. <3 I'm always up to help people, so even tho I'm new feel free to prod me for help on anything, no matter how bad you think it is. <3 [I also give out free hugs and blankies. o3o] I'm majoring in Teaching English as a Second Language in College with a Japanese emphasis [Severe and Profound Special Education minor] so I'm rather versed in Japanese language and culture if you ever need assistance with that and there isn't someone else you'd go to on a normal basis or whatever.... and stuff. o3o.
