Better. Bugsy isn't another walk around gym like all 16 bloody original gyms, Whitney's is more maze like and again not walk around and Morty's is well a more puzzly puzzle from the looks of it.

Clair: that remake is so much better then the stupid boulders... Hopefully we wont have a gym leader puzzle like the hearthome city gym leader that makes you do make like:

    What is 16-10= ?
    6<- 8^ 9 ->
    |

Why even do that if you have a poketech with a cacluator on it? jeez how easy can you get

Lol I never even used the calculator for it.

    Clair's gym looks much better.

Morty's gym looks better especially with those candles. It suits that gym nicely.

I like how they kept the Clefairy design but made it more noticeable in Whitney's gym. It looks very festive and reminds me of the Contest building in Hearthome.

I wonder, if the Kanto gyms will have puzzles as well...

Yes I too wonder if the Kanto gyms will be updated. Perhaps no more garbage rummaging and a proper cave puzzle for blaine?

Hadn't it been the case that in GSC, the traps were conveniently off, meaning you didn't even have to check the bins to get to Surge?

Newer puzzles for them would be nice though (but I'm unsure about whether they should keep the volcano event on Cinnabar in or not, seeing that's the cause of Blaine's gym relocation). Only one I may have a complaint about as well is Monty's as nice at it looks - I hope that there is at least a puzzle to it as the first section is exactly like the previous. Maybe though you're forced onto a new route...? =/

Yeah if you see you can't go left of the old lady. You need to go up then around or something. Oh yeah they were off. Shows how terrible GSC was in the gym department.

I hope that Jasmine's gym has a puzzle...or at least trainers...

Her "puzzle" is climbing the Lighthouse, surfing to Cianwood, getting the SecretPotion, beating Chuck, flying back to Olivine, climbing the Lighthouse again, and giving the SecretPotion to Amphy. And beating all the Trainers along the way.

Obviously none of that actually takes place in Olivine Gym, but if you think about it, you have to do more to battle her than any of the other Leaders. :D

    ditto
and i hope falkners is more interesting ;|
it was just a simple path....
i think it should be a maze type thing
with wind currents blowing you specific ways
i dont think they will all the first gyms in every game wasnt realy a puzzle you just had to walk forward and battle trainers or you could go around them

I honestly didn't mind Jasmine's gym being the way it was at all. I mean, after having to do all of what POKeMIKE said, just walking up to her and battling is good enough. Doing that task of healing her Amphy AND having to do a gym puzzle and battling countless trainers is a little exhausting. When I got there, I was thankful that all I had to do is just walk up and battle her. Her Steelix was tough.

I like Ryanniny's idea about wind currents for Falkner's gym. I wonder if they'll keep Pryce's gym similar. They already made us slide around in Candice's gym and make us break snowballs. Just making us slide again in Pryce's gym? I think they might have to do something different this time.

I really hope that in Chuck's Gym that you don't have to use Strength to progress further and to beat Chuck. It was always a paon because I had to leave one of my good Pokemon in the PC and bring out one that new crappy moves and that annoying HM. I think everyone forgot about Chuck ^-^ And he definitely needs more than 2 pokemon for goodness sake!

And Bugsy Gym looks incredible! I wonder how far back it goes and how many trainers you will have to battle (I hope a lot). And I love how Whitneys gym is kinda like two levels in a sense and it gives you more of an idea of how to get to her. And the shape is awesome! Mortys gym is pretty cool as far as we've seen(only the entrance) But I hope it gets way darker in areas so it will be more difficult.

Whitey's Gym suits her; and I know what you mean about 2 levels. Looks interesting. :)
Morty's Gym is awesome, the candles suit it well. I wonder if it will be the same type of puzzle though.
Bugsy's Gym looks AMAZING, I hope that Falkner's is upgraded and as a puzzle too. :D
Claire's Gym is so much better then what it was before. I mean, it looks like Bowser's Castle. o.O
I hope Jasmine doesn't get trainers and a puzzle lol; the task itself to fight her is enough.
I'm more interested to see Chuck's Gym of all of them though, I'm interested to see what they'll do with it. Hopefully they'll give him some more Pokemon too.

Love the new gym upgrades so far.

However, I don't really think Falkner's gym really needs an upgrade with new puzzles. It is suppose to be the first gym and it is so suppose to be easy. Leave the puzzles with the other 15 gyms. Falkner's gym is already unique in terms of the starting gyms of every generation because he is the only non-Rock gym leader and you have to fight his gym trainers before you can challenge him. All the other starting gyms had a path to avoid the gym trainers so you can automatically fight the leader. His team needs to be a little bit higher though. I don't want to see a gym leader still using Pokemon under level 10. :/

I definitley think that they are better. Much better.

I can't wait to be challenged in getting to the Gym Leader. It'll be like playing Gold for the first time.

Why does everyone complain about having to use Strength in the Cianwood and Blackthorne Gyms? With 80 base power, it's not like it's a terrible attack like Flash, cut, or Rock Smash, so I always keep it on one of my main battlers anyways. :P

I'm one of the guys that like ot battle as many trainers inside the gym as I can to maximize exp. earned, so I hated Herthome Gym in DPPt and Petalburg Gym in RSE because of all the backtracking attached to them if one wants to undergo that endeavor. I'm hoping that there won't be any of that in the newly desgined Azalea Gym (it looks like you're forced down a specific route every time you jump on one of the Spinarak transporters...)
