Oh, so they already have done something like that before? Then maybe it could be more likely...I still doubt it. I can see it happening further down the road when the DSi has started phasing out the DS Lite entirely.

All the Pokemon that are available in HG/SS will have corresponding data in D/P/Pt, the only other games that they will be able to link to. The only reason the Time Capsule was made in the Generation II games was so people couldn't send newer items, moves, and pokemon over to a generation where they didn't exist.

    HG/SS Speculation ? ^^

Yeah Time Capsule did what again? Did it let you trade with R/B/Y? Well you can migrate from the GBA games like the remakes of R/B (FRLG), so there's no sense in them going back to ancient times with R/B/Y, they will just allow FRLG and RSE migration probably. That's IF there's a Time Capsule, it could just be a Pal Park.

Keep in mind that the primary reason they're making HGSS was because the DSi made it impossible to acquire Johto pokemon that aren't in the Sinnoh dex via the dongle method. I'm not sure, but I think there's still a Pal Park in HGSS, but fi so, that'll take the function the Time Capsule had in GSC, making it pointless to put it back in mirite?

I would be nice to have a Pal-Park system located in PokeCenters, it would remove the need to travel to travel to one set location everyday and having to catch Pokémon which are already yours, however with the edition of Groudon, Kyogre & Rayquaza, it would only be useful for 5 Pokémon (Mewtwo, Celebi, Latios, Latias & Deoxys), as all others, if i recall, are obtainable in either D/P/Pt or HG/SS.

Time capsule is probably unavailable with the DSLite/DS, since it might lack programming of DS=>GBA communication (just guessing, and it's not like we'll play the GBA a lot from now on), and of course impossible with DSi, since it lacks a GBA slot.

You might get a Pal Park that would "require Bill to fix it's time capsule which makes it all available", which would be available on DSLites and DS'es only.

i doubt the time capsule will return as most pokemon can be obtained via diamond, pearl, platinum and migration from the gen 3 games
Actually, that's the main reason the game is made - so DSi users won't say they can't get roughly a half of the Pokemons.

And so it won't be a spam, my guessed solution for the regular DS owners from the older post, just in different wording - they'll probably have a Pal Park in this game (maybe instead of the old Safari zone?), and some NPC there will mention their "secret of success" is the time capsule placed in X room, which the hero can't get into, it's just theoretically there and, by the time you reach Ecruteak/wherever else, "fixed by Bill".

Oh btw, in case i'm right, i'm not sure how they'll include Pokemons unavailable in the Johto regional dex, cause theoretically you can migrate 3rd gen Pokes too, but then again, the time capsule was fixed by the 4th gym, not by the time you got Nationaldex. Another stupid filtering system? Or maybe i'm just totally wrong...we'll know it in 10 days heh.

We assume it will, and if not, then we assume (lol, no facts yet) that an update a la Japanese Pokemon Ranch will be released for PBR.
And I do too. Not TOO much though.

To be honest, I wouldn't expect the Time Capsule to make a return. It wouldn't have much use if Pal Park is being implemented, and because HeartGold and SoulSilver is an updated version of what has come before it, then compataibility issues will be worked out better than before.

If anything, the Pal Park would simply be placed in the original Safari Zone back in Kanto, seeing as how the new Safari Zone is now in Johto. Not to mention, if the Time Capsule were to not make a return, then waiting until the National Dex to import Pokémon over from R/S/E/FR/LG wouldn't be a complicated issue.

Dear Time Capsule return supporters: logic has just trumped your crazy hopes. kthxbai

I hope you guys realize the only reason it was called a "Time Capsule", was because Red/Green took place earlier in time than Gold/Silver, which required you to go "back in time" in order to trade with those games. So the omission of a Time Capsule isn't for the reason of Pal Park, but more like there isn't only two games you're getting pokemon from, and you're not trading this time. But I do agree that there won't be a Time Capsule.

I hope there's a way to easily transfer Pokemon from one of your DS games to another, Say Pearl to Soul Silver. Because not a lot of my friends have a DS so I couldn't borrow one to trade over. I know you can do it via GTS, but that's not completely safe, especially if your Pokemon is rare or high-leveled.

HGSS and DPPt take place 3 years after RSE and FRLG just like GSC took place 3 years after RBGY. The time capsule could be reused or renamed to Pal Park.
