I've only heard of two movies with the word Avatar in the name this year. I can only assume you guys are referring to one of the two...

    Hi guys. XD
    Hey boy hey. :D

Avatar is the blue-skinned-people movie directed by James Cameron. Wiki because I don't know much about it.

The Last Airbender is the movie of the American cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender. That's the one with the race!fail, because the show takes place in an East Asian-based world, with Inuit characters as well, especially in the main trio. It has race!fail because the main trio are played by Caucasian actors who don't look the part, the Asian elements have pretty much been removed, and the actors who aren't Caucasian play the evil villains.

    Example A
    Examples B through howevermanytherearebecausetherearealot

It also fails because it most likely doesn't have my favorite character from the series, but I'm getting used to that.

Guess which movie I paid more attention to.

Well you see, Carey is scary for many. Even his voice.... I have not seen the movie though so I cannot say if it is scary or not. Watch the Muppets one instead
Quality Hotel in Sydney. They have a few in Australia, but America is the chain's home territory.
Huh, never saw one. But why do I want to go to one in Sydney when I live little more than an hour away from there? D= Guess it's swimming for me. Someone tell me which direction and how far... and supply me with food for the trip. =D

I saw that movie. It was really long, and yeah, it was very confusing in the beginning. BUT, it was good.

Anywho, I heard from friends that A Christmas Carol is actually...scary?

Scary for little kids, but the worst it gave me was a few surprised jumps when people hop out from dark, scary places. But that movie was very good for a rehashing of A Christmas Carol! (I've seen quite a few and have become a sort of expert on the subject by now... xD)

What happens when you try to convert Anime or Cartoons to live action. It makes me not even want to watch the movie even though I watched the show.

East! East! Wait, you're going the wrong way! XD XD I don't know much about Quality Inn but all these talks on awesome hotels is reminding me of the Burj Al-Arab in Dubai. I saw it on Discovery Travel and Living and man was it sweet.

I wanna go there someday. When I have the money...

WHAT IS A CHRISTMAS CAROL AND WHY SHOULD I CARE? Are there Buicks in it? Or Quality Inns?

Yeah, that's my standard response for every movie nowadays. Actually I saw one rendition of it back in 8th grade, and I recall I was disappointed by the lack of Buick LeSabres (and even a lack of the Century) in that version. Also a lack of cute anime girls in miniskirts.

The version of A Christmas Carol we are discussing is the new animated rendition of the film starring Jim Carey as practically everybody.

    [nods]

Anyway, I think that you're aiming your standards a little too high... this movie took place way before Buicks were invented (whenever they were invented).

Wikipedia says Buick as founded in 1903. And A Christmas Carol was published in the 1840s, I think...

    So no Buicks there. =P

But what is someone makes a modern adaptation with Buicks? But heck, we should all totally make a crack 'Christmas Carol' story with a man who stays in a Quality Inn and is visited by three ghosts - a magikarp, a sentret with a flamethrower and an exploding charizard with his own Buick - to help him become a better man/fanfic writer. Y/Y ;P

I'd write a portion of that, if others agreed to do the same. XD

Indeed, okay so thus far in the crack fic, we do need the definite Quality Inn (even if it is advertising XD) as well as a Buick.

We'd have to add a bit to the current ghosts though.

Also I suggest we randomly kill Ash in said fic as well.

Should we find pokemon similar to the book's original description?

The Ghost of Christmas Past - The first spirit to visit Scrooge, a curiously childlike apparition with a glowing head. He takes Scrooge on a tour of Christmases in his past. The spirit uses a cap to dampen the light emanating from his head.

The Ghost of Christmas Present - The second spirit to visit Scrooge, a majestic giant clad in a green robe. His lifespan is restricted to Christmas Day. He escorts Scrooge on a tour of his contemporaries' Holiday celebrations.

The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come - The third and final spirit to visit Scrooge, a silent phantom clad in a hooded black robe. He presents Scrooge with an ominous view of his lonely death. Fred - Scrooge's nephew, a genial man who loves Christmas. He invites Scrooge to his Christmas party each and every year, only to be refused by his grumpy uncle.

I don't expect us to go true to the book though. XD

    Any thoughts thus far?

Anyone else willing to step up?

Perhaps we can get 4-5 people, like one person each writes a past/present/future/beginning/ending part?

Abomasnow should be one of the ghosts, IMO... like the Ghost of Christmas present.

But probably not much point planning if nobody else is in. Maybe wait for some more people to agree to this potential madness. =) But on saying that:
Perhaps we can get 4-5 people, like one person each writes a past/present/future/beginning/ending part?
Maybe, or if there's more, each writes a line/a few lines/paragraph in order and that's kept going until it's finished?

I would vote Darkrai for the Ghost of Christmas yet to come, but that would be too cliche. Instead, how about a sarcastic Piplup with a mafia/godfather-esque voice and scythe just for the lulz. XD

Guys, you know I'd love to, but I'm a tad busy right now. Maybe if everyone in the current FFL made like three to five lines consisting of a few hundred words? That would be too easy though.
