level 15, but you have to do the quiz, talk to clair blah blah blah, then after that exit and as you're trying to leave she'll give you...dragon pulse if I'm right. Then you go back to get your Dratini from the old man.

At least 70+ for the E4. The highest leveled pokemon at the stage you are at now is level 75. Red you might want to go for 80+,im not sure for red because i just transfered over some level 100 legends from my peral :D

I've found a great place to train -- rebattling Gym Leaders. Go to serebii.net, click on Heart Gold and Soul Silver on the left side, click gym leader rematches/rebattles. And if you don't fell like waiting, spend some time to change the clock on your DS to get all of the numbers then call them at the right time to rematch. I used one gym leader per pokemon (Bellossom - Brock) and easily defeated them multiple times and got each Pokemon from lv. 60 to lv. 70 in no time.

Also, what level were your pokemon when you beat red?

Heart's Soul, no, you can only battle Red once, after that he goes away from Mt. Silver.

Maybe Slowpoke is also good choice.

I need to know where to find the life orb. I know its in the ruins of alph but the building its in is blocked.

You must reach that Chamber from Union Cave. Enter it from Violet and go to north part of it and if you have Surf you'll be able to reach Chamber with Life Orb but to obtain it you need Ho-Oh.

Does herbal medicine grandma disappear after I beat the league? Because when I beat league and returned to Goldenrod City underground she wasn't there. I tried it several times and she's nowhere to be found.

A good HM slave is Lickitung --> Lickilicky. They can learn 6 of the HMs. I know you can get them in the Safari Zone; not sure pre-E4 though. I just traded a Lickilicky from my Diamond.

Safari Zone is pre-E4 and Lickitung is in area which is available from the start so Lickitung really is available before beating E4 :)

I know Safari is pre E4. And I read somewhere that the areas vary per player because I remember that I couldn't get it in the Safari Zone. Hopefully they have the area! ^^

I need help and advise for getting a timid nature Raikou, the main problem is the fact that it is a roaming legendary and the once it's released from Burnt Tower, it is set a specific nature. Any help?

How do I beat Muk in elite four? It keeps using a move to raise it's evasiveness and I can't hit it at all.

There are moves that hit no matter what (e.g. Swift, Shoc Wave...) but they're not that strong... try to hit it with super effective moves a few times as it's got great defence (e.g. ground or psychic type moves), or use a steel type which'd protect against its Gunk Shot, and hope that you hit it, as some luck maybe be involved if it uses Minimise.

I've heard fainting it and then redoing the E4 may reset it? I'm not sure on that though, someone would have to confirm it. If not, then you may have to reset before Burnt Tower, or just go with what you end up getting...

The thing with Kanto is you can go in any order you want more or less. There's no rush in getting to his lab though, just so you know. It's also hard to get to Pallet from Vermillion as you'll have to go and remove the Snorlax from Diglett's cave first and that involves a side quest over a few towns. The easy way though is to fly to Victory Road's gate and go right from it to get to Vermilion. Essentially you can beat the game in the same order as with FR/LG that way if memory serves.

Okay, can someone help me figure out the whole "Gym Leader Rematch/Call" thing?

I've already gotten several phone numbers, and called them when I thought I was supposed to, and they keep saying "there's tougher gyms out there...blahblahblah". Does this mean I need to beat all 16 & Red? And, once I do, what next?

Also, where can I find maps of all of the towns/caves/routes online? I got the Guide when I picked up SS, but it only goes up to The Elite 4.... Piece of crap... ((I miss Versus Books' guides...)). Specifically Cerulean Cave?

You cannot evolve Magneton to Magnezone in HGSS; you'll need to trade one from DPPt.

Completly new to breeding, have read all the guides I can find and can't see an answer. My question is, can I breed Male Pokemon with a Ditto to get a egg of the male pokemon?
