Valorie became aware of another girl nearby asking her if she was okay. She didn't know this girl though, who proceeded to sit down next to her despite the fact that Valorie was still standing. Valorie just sort of gazed down at Hailey for a moment, a bit curious as to the whole sitting deal. After a moment she decided to give the girl a chance and sit down directly next to her, folding her legs up against herself and wrapping her arms around them. It was her own way of subtly hugging herself, though it wasn't nearly as effective as the real thing. She supposed she would just have to deal with it, though the thought was mildly disheartening. As she did this she responded, her tone that of disappointment, seemingly in herself. She wasn't proud of how she'd handled the ghost, to say the least.

"Yeah... I'm fine... No need to say sorry, I guess..."

She wasn't sure what Hailey was sorry about, but on some level she appreciated Hailey's concern. Sure, it wasn't some old fashioned earned respect, but some good old fashioned care and friendship was pretty good too, right? Though, she couldn't be sure how much Hailey cared and whether she intended to actually become friends, as opposed to acquaintances. They had only just met though, really. Time would perhaps allow her to better be able to tell how this girl felt. Valorie would glance very briefly in Hailey's direction, but only for a moment. Her mind seemed to be partially elsewhere, as if she was still bothered from the incident on some level.

  • Dante's Rufflet

After flying for awhile, Rufflet spotted a small green spot with two red strips going straight across the diameter. Soon Rufflet realized that small dot was Jason's Ralts. Rufflet soon began his decent just to land next to Ralts. Once Rufflet landed next to Ralts, he got an uncaring tone that was directed to Rufflet.

"I'm here to bring you back to your master", Rufflet said answering Ralt. "I can bet you that Jason is worried about you."

Rufflet turn his eyes and laughed.

"Maybe Jason will get picked to fight one of the champions", Rufflet continued to Ralts. "If you want, I can fly you back to Jason. But, its up to you."

Rufflet sat there and waited for Ralts' respond.

The girl still looked disapointed. Hailey felt sorry for her. Not in a mean way, but a true way. Hailey wondered if this girl wanted to accept Hailey. This was the first time she'd opened up to someone without being thrown a harsh little comment. Hailey actually liked the feeling. But what if the girl turns on Hailey? What if she was just like everyone else? No. Hailey cloudn't judge this girl like that. Hailey had to try to break her nasty habbits. A few years ago, Hailey didn't think that was posible. But it was. Hailey thought of one thing that might cheer up this girl.

"Maybe later we could have a pokemon battle. What do you say?" Hailey said, smiling.

Hailey hoped it would cheer the girl up.

  • Valorie Ryder

Valori glanced at Hailey. For whatever reason, she was a bit surprised. Perhaps she had simply been in a pessimistic mood, but she really hadn't expected that. Was it Hailey's appearance? She looked as if she should be popular, yet here she was comforting her in public. Unless the girl was about to pull some sort of 'just kidding' it seemed like she was genuinely interested in getting to know Valorie better. A battle did sound nice, though she definitely didn't want to lose. She figured she had a pretty good chance, though. Why? Well... that was her ego talking. She wanted to feel strong, dang it!

Valorie made an effort to smile at the other girl, though it might come off as not having all her heart into it. She then spoke up, eager to accept the challenge. She'd never pass up an opportunity to try and impress others by battling. Unless it was something dangerous to her health anyway...

"That sounds great..! What's your name..? I'm Valorie."

And there Valorie had made the jump, throwing herself out there a bit. She was somewhat eager to make a new friend. Sure, her current friends were awesome and all but... when exactly did one have /enough/? She certainly didn't have enough. Definitely not. Getting bullied in the hall earlier was a testimate to that fact. Valorie shuddered a bit at that memory. The experience was still quite fresh in her mind, and her troubles came rushing back to her as she remembered all this. For a bit, it had felt as if she had escaped the feelings of depression. Yet... now she felt as lousy as ever. She silently accused life of hating her, but decided that she was being too dramatic afterwards and made an effort to calm down.

  • "N-Nice to meet you two. I-I'm Geneviève" Maxwell heard the girl say nervoulsy, he saw the small blush covering her cheeks and thought:
"Wow, this almost makes her cuter then before!" he started to blush a little bit as well.

"Oh this is my only Pokemon Sapphire. She looks different than most Simipour but I think that makes her more special" Maxwell heard Geneviève continue, then he noticed the Simipour standing by her feet staring at him and then crossing it's arms.
"Hiya, Sapphire!" he said and bowed a little for the pokemon too, "I'm sorry if I didn't notice you before, my bad hehe..." he continued nervously as he saw the Simipour looking at him with a unliking look.

Suddenly his stomach started growling and he noticed the two bags of Hippowdo's he had bought for him and Wilson still in his hands. "Um, are you guys hungry?" he said looking at Brian and Geneviève.
"Because in that case, how about we go get some lunch?" he continued. "I've heard about a battle-café opening here in Saffron, they have fantastic food and a mini-pokecenter!", "Or so I've heard at least..." he added.

Geneviève blushed a bit more seeing Max blush as well and looked away again until she could face him without blushing. She heard him say something to Sapphire and saw the look her Pokemon had on her face. "S-Sorry" she whispered shyly calling Sapphire back into her Pokeball "She doesn't like anyone other than me" she added before her stomach growled as well causing the blush to come back more than before from embarrassment. "Food sounds like a good idea," she said still feeling shy and nervous obviously not used to interacting with other people.

Bouncy took the poffin and ate it quickly. She smiled happily, having forgotten all about her distress from losing and leapt out of Bri's arms. That was good, considering that Bri needed to hold on to his crutches. Bri was totally oblivious to the look Sapphire was giving him.

"Hi Sapphire! It's nice to meet you!" he said cheerfully. He turned to look at Maxwell, who had said something about going to get something to eat. As hungry as he was, he doubted that the three of them would be allowed to leave the Expo.

"Um... As nice as that sounds, I don't think they will let us leave the Expo. But there's food around here... I've seen guys carrying around serving trays... I think..." Bri mumbled nervously. He looked around, wondering where they could find that. He thought nothing of Genevieve returning her Simipour. Thyme probably would have had a lot to say to her, which made Bri glad she had been left behind.

  • "Stop blushing!" Maxwell thought, "I'm going to die from your cuteness!", he started to blush even more, it was like a blush-off between him and Geneviève.

Maxwell heard Brian saying that they probably wouldn't be able to leave the Expo.
"Oh yeah! I didn't think about it hehe..." he said faintly. But when Brian said that there probably would be some guys with serving trays walking around, Maxwell shone up.

"Well then lets go and find some of those guys!" Maxwell said cheerfully and started to walk forward, but then he realized that he didn't know where to find them. He turned around with an embarassed look on his face and said:
"Hey Bri, do you know where these guys are? 'Cause I sure don't know!" Maxwell said with an nervous laugh.

For one of the few times in his life, Nicodemus hesitated.

He could've asked his Rotom to finish the Porygon2 off before it even used Recover, since Mark waited a short while as well, but something held him back. To be honest, he'd thought the Hidden Power Fighting would've fainted Commodore right away. It likely would have done so to most other Normal-type Pokémon, especially at this level. But this Porygon2 was a tough cookie.

Rotom, however, was far less concerned. He drifted upside down at Commodore's praise, nodding wildly. "For all I know, it might have been a different move the last time you saw it! It took me and Nick ages to find out what type of Hidden Power I had. Like…well, not ages I suppose. A couple battles. I'm sure you'd love it, really packs a gnarly punch against those who don't see it coming!"

Nick bit his tongue, still unsure. Luckily, he was saved from deciding when he heard Steven Stone's announcement. At first, it was simply worth a sigh of relief, but as he listened on, he gradually grew more curious. He was distracted again by the sight of two very young trainers flirting, and he had to fight a snort. Ah, young, bumbling, disturbingly prepubescent love. How…awkward.

"Well Mark, I think we might have to call this a draw," said Nick uncomfortably as he turned to Mark, unwilling to admit that he had thought twice about fainting the boy's Pokémon. Pity is not a bad emotion in itself, but letting others know he felt it certainly could be. No budding trainer ever wants to feel pity from the competition. And besides, it was supposed to be a lesson, and hurting the Porygon for less than a sheer battle had felt a little strange in itself. "If anything, you could always watch the battles Mr. Stone was talking about. Who knows; you might even be lucky enough to be in one."

Rotom sulked back when he realized the battle was over, but not before throwing a wink at the Porygon. "Till next time."

Nick seemed to hesitate attacking for the moment. Commodore was extremely close to fainting from the previous attack. If anything, Rotom should have been declared the victor. But the announcement on the stage seemed to have interrupted the battle and Nick decided to put a halt to it. It was more of a lesson anyways then a real battle as much as Mark wanted to believe it was one.

Commodore was curious in this hidden power ability himself and how handy it would be for anything his attacks couldn't break through. Commodore was glad to have a friend it could relate to though when it came to technology. Commodore nodded to Rotom happily.

"I'll be much more prepared next time. Looking forward to round 2!" Commodore said happily.

"Yeah. I think I should make some preperations myself before I get into some battles. I wonder if there's any TM's available around the Expo... Thanks for the battle though Nick." Mark said. He waved goodbye to him and wandered off to get a better view of the stage.

    Snype

Snype continued to walk around everybodies legs. Seeing how small they were, it would be easy to get stepped on through this cloud. He made sure Thyme was close by to him but she had already been clinging onto him so no worries there.

As the moved by everybody, the two eventually made it to the front of the stage where they could see the battle first hand. They were small enough to not get in anyone's way so it worked out nicely for everybody. If anything, they had the best seat in the house.

"Well that was rough... but hey we're here at least! We can see everything up close this way!" Snype said.

  • "That sounds great..! What's your name..? I'm Valorie." Valorie said.

"Awesome! My name is... Uh... Ha-- Lillith." Hailey said.

Hailey couldn't believe what she had just blurted out. She did like that name, though. Why would she just choose a different name like that? Maybe she blurted that name out for her safety of not getting hurt by anyone. If anyone tried to make fun of her, she would just switch to another name again so she could stay around the Acadamy. But Hailey didn't like that idea much. It would just lead her into trouble. But, of course, it was too late now. If she told Valorie the truth, Valorie might not want to be Hailey's friend. Hailey might hurt Valorie. And then the whole school would think she was a bad person. She probably was, though. But she wanted to change so badly. Hailey didn't know what to do. She felt like crying. She held it in. She might get teased and ridiculed.

"And this is my partner, Sparks. Nice to meet you." Hailey said.

Well, at least she didn't lie about Sparks' name...

  • OOC: Man I haven't posted here in a while and I totally forgot about Calnith and his pokemon!

    Calnith NeverWind:
Calnith sat ever so quietly watching everyone else talk, laugh, battle have fun pretty much. It sickened him, he'd love to see all these mere idiots washed away in a great flood caused by yours truly. Just then Kento popped out of his pokeball along with Cerberus. The two pokemon stared at their trainer for a moment before they both started to look at other things.

Kento wanted to fight someone and Cerberus wanted to burn them all like ants underneath a magnifying lens. Calnith spotted a group of kids that was familiar but new at the same time. The blonde girl with the Dragonair, the kid with the Sableye as some others. The red haired trainer figured he might as well get someone's blood boiling so why not cause some mayhem

"Hello there," Calnith said as he approached the girl he had met earlier on the boat. The girl with the Pikachu that Kento wanted to fight. He then looked to Valorie and waved to her with Cerberus and Kento close by.

    Colossus and Shinryu:

The two pokemon looked and looked until they found Taylor training with his Dragonite and Scizor. "What do we have here a Metang and Gabite," The Rocket member said as he noticed the two pokemon coming at him.

"You two know what to do this well me good practice!" Taylor exclaimed as his Dragonite went at Shinryu using Dragon Tail and the Scizor at Colossus using Brick Break.

Valorie noticed the hesitation, but didn't make much of it. She wasn't one to just assume things off the bat.

"It's nice to meet you too, Lillith. That's my Dragonair up there..."

She motioned up to the stage, at the rage huge Dragonair hanging out near Lance, who seemed to be amused by it's presence. She wasn't sure why she pointed out Dragonair. Sure, Dragonair arguably made her the most proud of any of her pokemon. Yet... Dragonair was at risk of embarrassing her further. It didn't look like Lance minded though. Perhaps she'd get through this one without being humiliated a second time. For now though she was trying to ignore that whole situation.

    "I really like your outfit."

She went ahead and complimented Hailey's appearance. It wasn't like she had anything else to talk about besides maybe what dorm they were in and what their dreams were and stuff like that. Then again, maybe she should really be asking those things? She had already said something though. The rules of politeness said she should wait for a response before talking again so as to not drive people crazy by not giving them a word in edgewise.

Geneviève blushed more as Max did and smiles shyly at him as he turned back around wondering where the people with serving trays where. "T-They are probably more near the stage that's where almost everyone else is" she said to them looking down. "Stop blushing it's just a boy" she thought looking back up still blushing faintly but trying to be more confident. "i have revives and potions if you guys would like to heal your pokemon" she said holding up her small green bag. "also what dorm are you in? I'm in Suicune"

"Hm... Probably are... Anyways, I'm in Entei Dorm. Let's get going, ok guys?" Bri said cheerfully. He began to walk towards the stage, even though he was hampered by the crutches. Bouncy by now was bouncing around him happily. He stopped when he realised what else Geneieve had said. He began to blush emberassedly.

"Um...I couldn't just use up all of you items..." Bri said nervously as he walked toward the stage.

    Thyme

As Snype led her to the front of the crowd, Thyme was looking around in awe. She had never seen so many people in one place. She stood still once they got there and watched the battles taking place.

"Nothing beats a good spot to watch from," Thyme said reassuringly. She could swear she was hearing the clicking of Brian's crutches coming their way, but she honestly didn't care. It made no difference to her whether he found them here or not. So, she said nothing to Snype.

"Wow. I haven't trained one of those before." Hailey said.

"I really like your outfit." Valorie said.

    "Thanks."Hailey said.

"It's the only one I have. Dry cleaning it is a different story." Hailey thought.

"Yours is very pretty." Hailey said. "So... What dorm are you in?"

Part of Hailey hoped Valorie would be in the same dorm as her, but Hailey also wanted Valorie to be in the Suicune dorm, symbolizing that Valorie passed the test perfectly.

    "Hello there." A voice said.

Hailey looked over to find the same guy shhe saw on the ship. Hailey wanted to fight him so badly. No. Hailey couldn't. She was trying to make friends. Hailey decided to just relax and wave back, like Sparks was doing.

"Okay then, lets go there!" he said in a cheerful voice and looked at Bri and Geneviève.
"i have revives and potions if you guys would like to heal your pokemon" Geneviève said and held up her small green bag. "also what dorm are you in? I'm in Suicune"

"What, really?!" Maxwell was a bit astonished, she offered her revives and potions to him and Brian. No girl had ever offered him something like this, at least not until now.
"S-Sure, t-thank you..." Maxwell said with a shy voice, this was something unusual and he couldn't belive what he just heard.
"Come on out guys!" he said and let out Wilson, Slackey and Quillie. They all looked very tired and exhuasted.

"Look guys, this girl is offering you her potions and revives. So be grateful."
"Swi, swi."[Thanks, very much lady!] Wilson said with a tired smile.
    "Koooth."[Thaaanks.] Slackey continued.
"Cynda..."[Thank you.] Quillie could barely talk, but he managed to say this.

"By the way, I'm in the Entei dorm!" Maxwell said with a big smile towards Geneviève.

Geneviève blushed and smiled shyly pulling out three potions and three revives and handed them to Max blushing more. "Your welcome and you both are in the same dorm that's cool" she said shyly blushing as her hand brushed Max's. "I'm even more shy than usual" she thought shaking her head to clear her thoughts. "I'm sorry I'm so shy, I'm not used to talking to others. When I used to it ended with me being made fun of" she added having to bite her lip to keep from making any comments on the facts she knew about the Pokemon she saw. "Why do I have to be such a nerd" she thought sadly her face showing her sadness.

"Oh, don't worry. We won't make fun of you, right Max?" Bri said excitedly as he came to a stop. He smiled as she handed Maxwell some potions and revives. He grinned at both of them, his nerves beginning to fade a little bit. He was feeling a bit better, and it seemed to him that these two liked each other. As in 'like' liked. It reminded him of Mark and Val, only this time there was no Sel around to play cupid.

"Say guys, I wonder what else we'll have to do at this expo... What do you two think?" Bri said, unaware that Thyme was keeping an eye on him from where she and Snype were sitting not too far away. He honestly didn't notice her. She wasn't in his direct line of sight. He smiled and awaited their answers.

Sam walked around after the battle, he had found the crying girl rather weird. Who cried after a Pokemon battle? Well, there were always some people. He had no idea where to go to, or what to do. The trip was getting more and more boring minute by minute. He would probably have to escape soon. Classes were more interesting than this.

Sam noticed the purple haired girl talking to another boy, a student from the Academy. She was blushing, she was a shy girl after all. The battle had been good though, and he remembered that he had to revive Sky. He rummaged through his pocket, and found a Revive, which he used on the fainted Pokemon. The revive worked, but Sky didn't get up, he was in a deep sleep. Sam sighed, and put the Pidgeot back into his Pokeball.

He wanted to talk to somebody, he was insanely bored. He spotted a 2 girls nearby, and he instantly felt curious about one of them. She was strikingly similar to Sam, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He had never seen her before, but she was definitely from the Academy. She was talking to another girl, and it would be considered rude if he barged into their conversation, but Sam had never been one for manners. He confidently walked towards the girl, and shouted out. "Hey! What's your name?" The question was quite rude, but Sam tried to put it as politely as possible.
