Gale Witt
Cerulean Forest

"..."
Stiff and sore, the Scizor's nerves shook his body, Gale slamming a claw into the ground to help himself rise off the cold ground. He opened his eyes immediately and found himself alone, close to Mt. Moon. They quickly grew wider and he beat his wings to help him upward. With a quick flap he was on his twos, though Gale's legs were still shaking and adjusting to carrying his weight without falling. He searched around frantically. He didn't know what was happening, how long he had been unconscious or for what reason. It was if time had stopped, and just begun again the moment he realized he was laying on the ground. He tried not to panic, but it was difficult not to.

Spreading out his wings, Gale took a moment to warm himself up in the middle of the plain. The sun was bright enough to give him the energy he acquired to keep moving, along with the heat he desperately needed. "My name is Gale Witt. I am a proud Stage Two infected, and servant to Deoxys," he thought to himself, trying to piece together everything he remembered, "I was in Cerulean, a Power Plant... there was an injured Emolga. I was trying to help it. There was a Raichu I spared for some unfathomable reason. I was running to Mt. Moon. That's all I can say." The Emolga was gone now. It had been aided by another infected while he was out, he desperately assumed. Only thing he could do now was to see what was happening at the main base.

Letting a breeze carry him across the tall grass, it wasn't a long distance to the tall mountain since he was already so close. At first sight, the infected population seemed to have grown while he was gone, and appeared much tougher and frightening than before. Many of them were heading to different places in a hurry, others waiting for further order from their master. The Scizor felt slightly lost with no task given to him, and no knowledge on what was happening, but Gale tried his hardest not to show it. "This is terrible- I'm such a failure. How could I just collapse on the ground like that? If only I had something to do to distract me..." He moaned, overly frustrated with himself. He'd have to do something huge to make up for this.

Deoxys
Mt. Moon

The room was filled with screaming pokemon. Some were in the process of dying, others were already dead, and some were about to have a new mission in life. Once his new infection got rooted in these pokemon then he could proceed to perfecting it even more. It was just one step as time for now, as humans would say. Deoxys focused his thoughts and sent out specific messages only to certain individuals he had hand picked among his forces. The command was simple. Come to him. That was all he asked of them... for now.

Sebastian looked over and Number and smiled, "Well, I've only had an hour or two of sleep... Alright, just keep watch over the prisoner." Sebastian yawned and headed to another part of the House to sleep.

Axel
Bill's House.

As Axel lowered himself down to lie on the floor of the pod, he glanced from the Golduck to the Nidorina, his eyes widening a little as she nodded towards him. Why did she do that? Was she planning to help him? Or was it more a respectful kind of "You did your friends proud" kind of thing?

He glanced back towards the Golduck, Snype having moved out of line of sight, though nobody had bothered to close the pod as he had gone into it. The Nidorina then began speaking to the Golduck, though Axel tried to pretend to ignore the both of them, glancing off to the side as he slowly curled up, his ears flattening against his head and his tail lowering to the floor next to him. Maybe she –was- actually going to help him out… why would she have stayed behind to just help guard him? It didn't make sense… but he couldn't afford to get his hopes up. He had to get out of here, and soon. Question is… what would he do once he did…?

Snype just shook his head. This whole thing was a mess to him. He had been carrying a heavy burden and it all came so soon. It was really stressful. He wasn't asleep at the moment, heck, he couldn't sleep, despite how tired he was. He looked up and noticed that the Nidorina had offered to look after Axel. He wasn't sure what to think about that... she gave the Raichu an odd look earlier... wonder what this was about...

"... Gah... I feel awful about this. Maybe's we're all just afraid... I mean... we can't really help it I suppose. This infection has taken away so much from us after all... lost my whole pack to it. I bet I'm the only Sableye in Hoenn for all I know... heh." Snype said.

"... Hey Axel, if you can hear my in there, I never got to say thanks for keeping me from killing that infected Pokemon. I probably wouldn't have been any better... guess its debatable which fate is worse... I'm still not sure myself... but I almost killed it in cold blood... I probably would have lost it..." He continued, looking up at the group.

"...So, where are you all from? You know. Before the infection... if you want to share stories..." Snype asked.

Felicie "Number" Schäfer

Bill's House

"Well, I've only had an hour or two of sleep... Alright, just keep watch over the prisoner," Sebastian said with a yawn. Number watched him walk to another part of the house. As soon as he was out of sight, she looked at the Raichu for a few moments with an expression that seemed to say, It can be that simple. The gaze lasted for a few more short yet awkward seconds until a voice came from nearby. The Sableye's voice.

Number turned her head to look at him. Was he talking to himself about his past, or was he talking to Number and the Raichu? He then said something about how the Raichu - whose name was apparently Axel, had stopped him from killing an Infected Pokémon. Number's mouth opened slightly in surprise and she looked back at Axel. Did he seriously let an Infected Pokémon get away? It had probably killed or Infected numerous Pokémon since then. Maybe even killed some humans. Number didn't understand what was so immoral about killing one life to save yet six more. But even if Axel had done something incredibly stupid, Number would still help him escape. Only now she would force him to wait as punishment - besides, she couldn't break him out now anyway. Not with the Sableye here.

She scrutinized the capsule Axel was situated in. Sebastian nor the Sableye had even closed the lid. A small breeze blew in from outside, and Number remembered she hadn't closed the door. The draft was a good excuse to close it and prevent Axel from running out and saving himself. Number needed him to think it was because of her that he managed to get out. So she went over to the door and shut it. The Sableye then asked Axel and Number where they came from. "I came from Johto," Number lied as she hopped up and turned the lock. Her voice gave no hint it was a lie. Now I'm going to make you suffer in silence for a while longer before we escape. Don't pity Infected again. She walked back to where she had been standing before. "I'm sorry if it's really cold in here because of me. I sort of… forgot to close the door," the Nidorina said, glaring at Axel again as tiny sparks of electricity crackled along the spikes on her back. With a small smile, she looked back at the Sableye. "I don't seem to know of your name. What is it?"

Axel
Bill'sHouse

As Snype began talking, Axel lifted his head again, his ears twitching a little as he looked towards where Snype's voice had come from. As he mentioned the infected, Axel winced a little, recalling the moment. Maybe he should've let Snype kill him after all. But… there was just part of him that wouldn't let him do that, especially not after having talked to Flight, and witnessed the Typhlosion's moment of weakness.

He looked back to the Nidorina as she turned to look at Axel, rather surprised. This caught Axel a little off-guard, and he turned his head slightly down with a huff and a frown, clearly not happy with what he had done. He mumbled something quietly as the Nidorina walked over to shut the door.

"… You know why I did it, Snype. I just… I couldn't do it. The –real- Pokémon is in there somewhere… I know it. I've seen it myself."

As she came back towards the pod again, Axel shifted a little uncomfortably under her glare, though avoiding look into her eyes. However, as the electricity ran along her back, his tail twitched and his eyes were drawing back to her, widening his eyes a little in surprise. He looked at her for a long while, as if trying to find some sort of hidden message. Eventually, she turned to face Snype, and he peered towards the floor in deep thought. There was something really interesting about this Nidorina. And possibly frightening, he wasn't sure.

As he walked closer to the ominous roaring, Ness contemplated. Where was he going? Did he have a death wish? And that last one didn't just apply to the fact that he was steadily marching towards something huge and likely murderous.

Acquainting himself with an infected pokemon put him at the mercy of everyone- infected already wanted everything dead or corrupted towards their cause, and everyone fighting them would see him as a traitor to his kind - The ultimate traitor. He didn't need any coercion or threats or infection itself to desert. He'd done it of his own whim, and that made it all the worse.

But how could he not? Flight was half dead when he found her, and he didn't know of the infection at the time. After she revealed her plight (Quite a strange thing to do as well, if you're in a disadvantaged position) it was only really stubbornness that kept him going.

That and the fact that she was… well, an Emolga. She was his only reminder that somewhere, somehow, amongst all this chaos, his homeland of Unova was still out there.

"Danger seems to follow wherever you go," Flight chuckled.

"Well, not really," he disagreed. "At the moment I'm sort of following it."

He slowed down as his mind sped up its processes. Then again, maybe it could work out. It might involve a little violence, but he was born and raised a fighter. All he had to do was pretend Flight was his prisoner for research purposes.

He neared a building, door tightly shut. The noise was definitely from here. Or, near here… underground.

Someone had beaten him to it.

That was it. Ness was over being treated like some doormat. He was not going to be beaten by a closed door.

He concentrated, and thousands of tiny orbs of energy came into existence. They solidified, and he flung them towards the door. They exploded violently, the building itself rocking in its foundations. The door was eviscerated.

"I've HAD it with things trying to get in my way!" He yelled.

He delved down the stairs, angry enough at whoever stole his hideout to completely disregard his own safety.

The tunnel was way bigger than Ness was expecting. It stretched on for what seemed forever.

But there was no way he could disregard the hulking monstrosity with its back to him. Sickly chrome-green metal armour covered its body, and the skin beneath was a haunting orange.

Infected. No doubt about it.

And there were pokemon in front of it… pokemon and people!
"Hey, you!" He shouted. "Big metal lug there! Maybe you should stick to fighting one guy at a time! You might do better-"

His taunting was interrupted by another roar. It echoed and bounced around the tunnels, deafening.

Time to forego bluster. He launched a psyshock not dissimilar to the one that victimised the door up above ground, and watched as it exploded in the metallic beast's back.

The purple smoke cleared… and the beast remained still. It wasn't hurt, it seemed, but now it was angry.

((Surprise! Ness and Flight were on the OTHER side of the Underground path!))

Flight - Normal
Close to Underground tunnel

"Well, not really," replied Ness, "At the moment I'm sort of following it."

"Oh so you're the funny type," Flight rolled her eyes, hiding the amusement inside them. The roars and growls were definitely increasing with a gradual crescendo, guiding Flight and Ness's way.

It didn't take long for the duo to encounter a little building where the rampaging beast seemed to come from right under them. The underground path? Frustrated with the locked door, the Emolga twirled to a side in attempt to ask her companion, only to be surprised by his actions; with a powerful psychic blast, the door didn't even stand a chance.

Are we digging our own graves here?

Flight had no time to think over it. Ness hurried down the stairs and the Emolga spread her gliders, catching up with the four-legged Pokemon. People had reached their hideout before they could arrive...but was it necessary for him to freak out?

The ground seemed to shake under her feet. Landing right behind the Espeon, Flight stifled a growl as a rampaging infected came into sight. She was about to warn Ness not to attack or grab the Aggron's attention but the Espeon had already launched his attack. The smoke cleared, and the beast stood still with no injuries at all. The attack hadn't even pierced its skin.

And now it was angry.

"Great...great...good job," Flight grumbled, "Now I suggest we run!"

The Aggron released yet another deafening roar while stomping towards the tiny duo, his eyes flashing with anger. Flight saw something else, however. She saw a struggling, crying Pokemon under Deoxys' control. Rage overwhelmed her idea to escape and adrenaline pumped through her body, releasing purple electric sparks around her.

"Deoxys, you freaking monster!" cried Flight, jumping into the air and avoiding a quick Iron Tail before spinning around, unleashing her own ball of energy at the enemy.

"Snype. I'm a scavenger, smuggler, whatever it might be. For awhile I've been living out here by myself doing what I can... Can't say if it's effective or not, but I try. It's really the only thing I have to live for right now after all... I came around during one of the swarms where we Sableye were around Cerulean. Horrible timing for that I guess..." Snype said. He shivered a moment as Number closed the door. He didn't get a blanket or anything...

"...Sorry for having to lock you up in there and everything after saving your life and all Axel. I just don't want to risk you running amok out there with the risk of being infected. I mean... whoever your looking for, what would they think if you became infected...?" Snype added.

Gale Witt
Mt. Moon

An impulse of psychic energy snapped his mind back into focus. It was a command from Deoxys; he wanted to see the Scizor. Although Gale was honored and proud that his master wished to see him, there was the slight possibility he was going to be punished for his slacking the moment he followed such command. However, there was no escaping an order, as if it was even worth trying to avoid. All he could do was think positive, and that's what he did as he approached his leader's lair.

Gale's tension dropped the moment he saw another pokemon also following from behind, looking both confused and excited. Something was happening. Something not individually involving him. Gathering together in front of Deoxys, the crowd finally knelt down to show respect for their alien leader. This wasn't a punishment. There was something large they were specifically picked out to be a part of.

Felicie "Number" Schäfer

Bill's House

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Snype. I'm Number," Number said, pausing for a moment as she thought about the Sableye's pack being Infected and utterly destroyed. Why would anybody want to spare evil monsters that take everything you have? Number didn't understand where this logic came from. She hadn't lost anyone specifically to the Infection, but she hated them for the times they had bothered her when she was trying to mind her own business. That pissed her off and she refused to let anyone get away with it.

"...Sorry for having to lock you up in there and everything after saving your life and all Axel. I just don't want to risk you running amok out there with the risk of being infected. I mean... whoever you're looking for, what would they think if you became infected...?" Snype added. Number half agreed with him, but what if it turned out the other way around? What if the two Pokémon Axel was looking for became Infected first? In that case, what would Axel think? He might put the blame on himself. Or at least, that's what most would do. His panicky manner made him seem like the type that felt like they needed to be the ones to fix the problems, and when they didn't, they thought it to be their own fault. Although Number was mad for what Axel did, she soon realized that she really shouldn't drag this rescue on. There was no time for this, and she had forgotten that she was supposed to be catching up to the army. The longer she waited, the farther they would surely get. "It's getting late. We should get to bed," the Nidorina said. "If we really have to keep him trapped in there, we ought to let him pee shouldn't we? He can't hold it forever." Number was trying to think of an excuse to move Axel outside or to a different room where he could attempt to slip away. Number wasn't even sure if they had bathrooms in here. "It would be disgusting if he peed himself in there. I know I wouldn't sleep in it after that," she added.

Deoxys and Somnus
Mt. Moon

Somnus walked into the room right after Gale. He knelt right down next to the Scizor and dared not look up until Master allowed them to. There were ten other infected in the room, all kneeling before Deoxys. A few seconds passed before a barrage of images invaded Somnus' mind. He saw images of Mew, and then he saw himself, as well as the other infected in the room, battling Mew. They fought with powers that seemed to be stronger than the ones he usually used. In fact, it looked like their attacks were strong enough to bring Mew to his knees. The next image showed them bringing Mew back here, to Deoxys. The images disappeared and Somnus stood back up. "We have been given our orders. Teleporter." The Breloom that had come here with Somnus sighed, "Fine, that's my name now everyone. Yes, my parents named me Teleporter. Happy?"

Somnus nodded, "Quite."

The Breloom groaned, "Anyway, I got the coordinates, just hold onto me."

Benny Larson
Underground Tunnels

The Aggron roared as he felt something hit into his back. He twisted around to see a Emolga and a Espeon. Rage funneled through his mind. It didn't matter that the Emolga was infected, all that mattered was that he kill them, now.

Carol saw the two pokemon, but with their only source of light being flashlights, she couldn't make out Flight's infected status. "Alright, pull him off them!" The humans shot at the Aggron, trying to aim for weak points in his armor. The Aggron seemed torn between going after the two pokemon or the humans. He chose the two pokemon. Carol ran after the beast firing off the last shot in her gun. "Get out of the tunnel you two!" She shouted at the fleeing pokemon.

Eventually the three disappeared into the darkness. Carol and the other humans began to reload and she turned to the army, "Alright, we get to that Aggron and take it down!" She ran right down the tunnel with the others following. Benny saw that Splash was still stuck in his shell and picked up the Wartortle as he ran after the others.

Snype thought about what Number said for a moment... She had a point. Snype would never get a good nights sleep if Axel pissed himself in the capsule.. he didn't even want to think of that scenario.

"Guess you got a point... alright Axel. Guess you should go for a bathroom break before we get to sleep... but after that we should go to bed. Keep an eye on him though Number. Make sure he doesn't slip away..." Snype said. He was a bit suspicious at this point. Wasn't number supposed to have caught up with the rest of the army? Hrm.

Gale Witt
Mt. Moon

After a brief moment, Deoxys sent quick, vivid images of the selected infected pokemon along with himself unleashing their powers against a small pink pokemon; Mew. Their power seemed to be amplified, and stronger than Mew's own. The next flashing image showed the group overtaking the legendary and taking it prisoner for Deoxys. The Scizor couldn't believe that Deoxys had chose him for such an important mission, but he was glad. He'd serve his master well to take down Mew and continue aiding the alien in his conquest to rule Kanto.

"We have been given our orders. Teleporter," a Hypno stood up and motioned to a Breloom. The pokemon sighed deeply, replying with something that Gale couldn't focus on, as he was too distracted with other thoughts involving the legendary Mew. He didn't know how powerful it was, or if it was going to be possible to catch it successfully. Looking back at the Hypno and Breloom, the psychic type had placed a hand down on the pokemon along with the other infected. Gale assumed he had to do the same and attempted to grab onto the Breloom's arm without accidentally pinching. It was difficult to touch anything with his claws without leaving a mark.

"I look forward to this," he mumbled to himself, quiet and odd enough so that the others couldn't hear him.

"Guess you got a point... alright Axel. Guess you should go for a bathroom break before we get to sleep... but after that we should go to bed. Keep an eye on him though Number. Make sure he doesn't slip away..." Snype said. Number looked down at Snype with concern. Was it obvious what she was trying to do? Did he know? She quickly turned to Axel. "All right," she said simply. She quietly watched him for a few moments as if she forgot she wasn't finished talking yet. "Get out of there. Like I said, it'll be disgusting if you pee yourself in there. Hurry up, it's late."

Number turned around and headed for the door. She leapt up and unlocked the door. Why was the lock so high up anyway? Why couldn't that stupid thing be next to the door knob? Number turned the knob and the door practically opened itself. It was unusually windy tonight. A storm, Number thought. Some kind of harsh storm was on its way. That gave them even more reason to hurry. "Hurry up," Number said again. "Don't worry, there's plenty of bushes here."

Axel
Bill's House

"...Sorry for having to lock you up in there and everything after saving your life and all Axel. I just don't want to risk you running amok out there with the risk of being infected. I mean... whoever your looking for, what would they think if you became infected...?"

Axel sighed heavily, lowering down onto his belly, resting his head on his paws, closing his eyes with a little huff. He was right, what if Daniel saw him while he was infected? He'd have to kill him, then… he –should-, even. But… it didn't matter. He –wasn't- infected. He wasn't about to start discussing this though, he knew it was an argument he couldn't win.

"… I know Snype, and… I-I don't blame you for putting me in here. I guess I'd besuspicious as well if I were in your place. But I just can't give up, y-you know? Flight… is in trouble because of what I did. I can't just give up like that."

Not expecting either Snype or Number to care, Axel shifted a little around within his pod, slowly starting to get used to the idea of having to wait until tomorrow before he could go out and save his friends. And then Number spoke again, causing Axel to open his eyes, peering out at her.
"If we really have to keep him trapped in there, we ought to let him pee shouldn't we? He can't hold it forever. It would be disgusting if he peed himself in there. I know I wouldn't sleep in it after that."

As disgusting and insulting as that insinuation had been, Axel couldn't help but think that the Nidorina might have had some kind of thoughts behind her little offer. Normally, Pokémon wouldn't care about possibly infected Pokémon, and they would have just let them wallow in their own filth. Number's way of acting sort of told him that she was thinking of something, but he wasn't sure. And Snype seemed to go along with it.

Axel muttered a thanks to both Snype and Number as he slowly rose up on all four again, peering out at Number as she stared back at him. Maybe she –did- have some kind of plan. And if she didn't… this was going to be his only chance of getting away and having a shot at helping Flight.

"Get out of there. Like I said, it'll be disgusting if you pee yourself in there. Hurry up, it's late." She said, causing Axel to trot obediently along behind her, sending Snype an apologetic glance as he did, as if to ask for forgiveness for something.

As the door was opened and they both stepped outside, Axel's tail rose up into the air, twitching slightly, his fur on end as he turned his head to the skies, eyes widened. He stood completely still for a long while, simply staring up into the skies, eyes flickering left and right. He couldn't hear it… but he could feel it. A thunderstorm was coming.

Escape

"We've no time to ponder the weather. Let's get out of here," Number said quietly. She rammed her head into Axel's side to get him to move. They needed to get away as fast as possible. If they sat there like a sack of potatoes for long enough, Snype would surely come and check what was taking so long. Assuming Number had managed to shake Axel out of his strange little daze, she ran through the woods as fast as she could, just barely able to dodge the passing trees in the darkness.

Luckily her "Pokémon vision" allowed for her to not need a flashlight. Even so, she had no idea exactly where they were off to. She was sure it was in the army's general direction, but that wasn't enough to be completely aware of where she was going. She felt a tiny cool spot on her forehead. It was starting to rain. It just had to rain now. This was not great weather for fugitives. Well, a fugitive and a helper of a fugitive. "Axel," Number said as she ran. She didn't get to finish her thought, as she had suddenly crashed into something. Whatever it was, it was big. She shook her head as if to shake the sudden trauma away and then glared up at what she crashed into.

"Hey, buddy. Move out of the damn way," Number said angrily. She then locked eyes with a huge, green and orange Rhydon. Ew. Not another Infected pest. The Rhydon roared and attempted to stomp on Number. She quickly leapt out of the way, but the Rhydon instantly followed with a Tail Whip. Number was thrown into a tree, but her spike impaled into the bark and absorbed most of the blow. She used all her force to pull herself out and then she turned to Axel. "I really, really hope you're braver than I think you are," she said with apparent doubt in her voice. The Rhydon roared even louder this time, causing the trees to sway. A few more raindrops, followed by rumbling thunder.

Axel
Cerulean Cape

Axel was snapped out of his daydreams as Number began nudging against him, telling him to get out of here. For a moment, he tried to comprehend why she was helping him, but quickly thought that he shouldn't look a gift Horsea in the mouth. He turned around and made a run for it, following closely behind Number as he ran on all four, though not at his maximum speed, wanting to be sure that he would keep up with Number and not run away from her.

As a couple of drops fell from the sky, Axel began tensing a little up. The approaching darkness of the sky and the night still covering the land caused Axel to glow very faintly due to his constant discharging miniscule amounts of electricity. He came to a swift stop however, as Number barged into something Axel had been too distracted to notice until now.

"Hey, buddy. Move out of the damn way." Number said, which promptly made the massive figure turn around who promptly tried to stomp on Number, which didn't quite work, and proceed to whip her with his tail, which sent her flying into a tree. Axel's eyes widened in fear at this massive being. "N-Number!" He glanced towards her with worry and fear painted across his face, but was relieved to see she could pull herself out of the tree where her spike had stuck.
"I really, really hope you're braver than I think you are,"

Was he though? What was he going to do against a being so massive and well-armored as a Rhydon? He didn't have a single attack that could do any kind of damage to it. Another glance at Number and a thought sent out to Flight, Axel swallowed down, though still visibly terrified at what he was planning to do. If he didn't have anything that could hurt this thing, Number might, and so he had to give her the opportunity she needed.

As the Rhydon was focused on Number, Axel dashed forwards, unleashing a thundershock at the thing, which hit it square in the side. Unfortunately, the Rhydon only barely noticed it and turned around with murder in his eyes to try and find out who else was on his list for interrupting… well, whatever it was he was doing.
Axel proceeded to dash towards the Rhydon, even as it lowered down and ripped out a large rock from the ground beneath him and tossed it towards him.

He grit his teeth and sent off in a Quick Attack, only just making it underneath the boulder flying towards him, before leaping up towards the Rhydon, thumping against his chest, where he clinged on. As the beast roared out in anger at this insult, Axel gulped and quickly crawled underneath the arms now swinging for him to sit on his back, his long tail moving around his waist before swiping up at his face, quickly retracting. Thankfully, the Rhydon's arms were too short to reach him, but that didn't stop it from trying.

As he sat there, clinging on for dear life, he called out to Number with obvious terror in his voice. "G-go on! Get him! I can't hold on forever!"

Blaze - Near/In Underground Tunnels

It was cold, and wet, and rainy, and Blaze was lost. He had only stepped off the path for a moment to investigate some sound, and suddenly the rest of the group disappeared, and now Blaze was wandering through the forest in the rain, getting absolutely drenched. The trail he was following was slightly sheltered by trees, but even so the rain would still fall only slightly abated by the forest. Lightning flashed between the trees, followed by the crashing boom of thunder. If only he knew this area better, he would be able to find some shelter, or even find the underground tunnels that the rest of the Army was headed to. If only, if only.

Blaze paused under a pine tree to find some temporary, if leaky, shelter. He shook his fur, drops flying everywhere, knowing that his fur would be soaked again in just a matter of minutes. It still felt good to have the water out of his fur though. As he contemplated his next move, a flash of lightning illuminated the area, and he saw a strange rock formation poking between two trees. The image was gone as fast as it came, the area now dark again once more. Blaze wasn't sure if he had actually seen something, so he waited for the next lightning, and sure enough, the rock formation appeared once more. Blaze dashed out of the cover of the pine tree sprinting in the direction of the rock formation, hoping to find a small cave to wait the storm out in. What he discovered was even better, the entrance to the underground tunnels. In the mud, he noticed many other tracks, so many that it could only belong to a very large group of Pokemon. That meaning either the Army, or a band of infected Pokemon. Or both.

Blaze sat just inside the cave for a few minutes to allow his eyesight to adjust to the dark cave, the shapes of the stalagmites and stalactites slowly coming into view. After a few minutes, he got back up and shook his fur out again, hopefully for the last time now, and set off into the depths of the cave. Down, down, down the cave went, twisting and turning, this way and that. Fortunately, there mere not that many paths that branched off, and most of the that did ended very shortly at a clear dead end. Even so, Blaze felt that he was going the wrong way. The Arcanine's paws were getting sore when he heard a large crash that echoed through the cave, followed by shouting and gunshots. A renewed sense of urgency filled him as he recognized Carol's voice, shouting something about an Aggron.

After turning a couple corners, the army came into view, chasing after a clearly infected Aggron that was disappearing further into the darkness of the cave. Blaze prepared himself, then used extreme speed to catch up to the Aggron, leaping in front of it and cutting it off, then launching a flamethrower into it's face. It would take more than that through, the steel pokemon seemed to just shrug it off, although it did seem very pissed at Blaze. It swung its massive arm, much faster than Blaze had anticipated, sending him flying across the cave. He yelped as he hit the wall, and landed on the ground hard on his side, grazing himself on a stalagmite. He rolled to his feet to see what the situation was, hoping that he had bought enough time for the Army to catch back up the the rampaging pokemon.

Flight - Normal
Underground Tunnel

Flight was paralyses on the spot, watching as the Aggron approached her with murderous eyes. Was this the end?

"Get out of the tunnel you two!" just then, a feminine voice echoed across the tunnel and into the Emolga's ears. A human attempting to help her? Had she gone insane? The infected had been the Humans' primary enemy for weeks now. Then Flight realized that the surroundings were too dark for either of them to see through the shroud of darkness.

A chance to show her disloyalty to Deoxys?

Soon, the humans rushed forward in attempt to attack the infected beast. Glancing at Ness, Flight didn't know what to do at that very moment. Run? Go in? The humans would shoot her once she came into target range. But there hadn't been a better chance to show that Flight...was actually fighting against her master, a sign of rebellion.

I'm not running away...!

Flight brought her focus together while channeling the electricity and mental energy inside her. A purple aura formed around her body and violet sparks were surrounding her like neutrons going around the nucleus of an atom. With a powerful leap, she jumped into the air and turned around, slamming her glowing tail onto the back of the Aggron's head. A shockwave emitted from the powerful hit, and the Aggron growled in pain, paralysed on the spot.

Flight quickly did a somersault and landed right in front of the humans, satisfied with her sudden attack. She realized the chance of being shot on the spot, but continued to speak with her hopes up.

"I'm on your side, don't shoot!" she spoke quickly with panic in her voice, "The Aggron's stunned! Take it down!"
