As far as felines go, we already have Litleo and whatever evolutions he most likely has.
Also, there is a very good chance that we will see a Espurr/Meowstick rumor to come to fruition as did the other rumors it was grouped with.
Two feline lines seems like enough for one generation, so you should be set ;)
I like cat pokemon ALOT, but their worth goes down if there is just a ton of them. It gets monotonous. So let's hope the number stays around 2 and no more than 3 :/

I hope that doesn't happen. While I don't think necessarily the game needs to "grow up with its audience," I think the West needs to stop crying about everything.

I mean, there is a double standard. Why isn't Machoke/Machamp not controversial if Lopunny is? Flaunting these muscles with a very short pair of briefs is definitely just as sexualized, if not more than Lopunny; however, since Lopunny is feminine, it automatically given higher scrutiny in regards to modesty, the same goes for women of western culture (among others!) in comparison to men.
Anyway, back on topic. 666 comes up early in the new pokedex. After starters, we are already at 658/659 (depending on if we have another legendary like Victini. If, they reference it, it must be a beginning dark line, like the Purrloin/Poochyena lines. So I bet, IF they do this, the dark pokemon will be sinister/naughty/deceptive, but not overly demonic or evil. Too bad they have to be so restricted by parental oversight of young consumers. Though, maybe it helps reign-in GF from going too far. Pokemon would be a completely different game if the market was exclusively to an older crowd. For better or worse? We cannot really tell.
