6th Gen Biggest disappointment you've encountered

I'd say the biggest disappointment I encountered was the lower FPS during battles when playing in 3D mode, and I hope Nintendo can release a patch to fix that. And also not being able to have horde battles or double battles in 3D either. Other than those two issues, I'm by far impressed overall with the game.

Probably the frame rate in battles. Ignoring 3D, the frame drops severely during certain idle camera angles and certain attack moves. Horde mode is downright unplayable.

    So your complaints are:

    1) Difficulty (something that is non-existent and missing the design point of Pokemon)
    2) Pokemon designs (completely subjective)

This game isn't without its flaws (lack of more new Pokemon, some hand-holding, framerate problems, etcetera.) but it is one of the best games in the series because its flaws are only minor, much to my surprise.

Like I said, I didn't expect the entire game to be one big brainless pubstomp.

I dissagree. I think X Y are one of the best games developed by gamefreak so far. True that Red and Blue was great but I think X Y beat them anywhere. I think is great thing they only added 69 new pokemon this generation as we had 150 new last gen so I think its pretty fair that way. And also we have mega evolutions which really brings something new to the Pokemon game.

I really can't find a single thing wrong with the game, the online features are amazing, graphics also so its story, probably one of the best so far. And also the desings of new pokemon are one of the best in the series history.

Hm about only 69 new pokemon who the hell cares? Look at all the other new features and if you want to make the game challenging here:

No exp share, megas, kanto starters, and MAYBE aegislash.

Why do people hate Chesnaught so much?? I think it's one of the coolest starter evolutions of all time!

My biggest disappointment in these games had to be the simplicity of it. The gyms didn't offer much challenge, and only Siebold really put me on the spot. The Champon had potential for sure, but she relied on slower Pokemon which made my job much easier.

Oh, also, the lack of postgame material is really saddening.

Other than that I loved the storyline (the end almost put me in tears), the region, and the whole look of the game in general, was BEAUTIFUL, and I liked almost all of the new Pokemon (which leads me to thinking there should have been more, but who knows what awaits us in the near future?)

I still don't get what post-game people are expecting. We have a Gym leader rematches in Chateau, Battle Maison and Friend Safari for the post-game. So what else were people expecting? A whole new region to explore for post-game?

Every pokemon post-game are almost the same, everyone whose complaining about post-game should look at every Pokemon's 1st series entry in the generation and tell me what other post-game they have besides a Battle tower clone and legendaries to catch. Like I stated numerous time, this is the first entry games that has a rematches against Gym Leaders.

So again what post-game where people that's complaining about "NO POST GAME", expecting?

I'm not done yet, but I've been very happy so far. The most dramatic things I've been "disappointed" with are that we are not able to customize our characters as much as I would have liked, and that the Exp. Share seems sort of over done in our favor. It almost feels like cheating.

No post Game makes it easier to start over. PLUS!! You can just Bank the Mons you want to keep. ($5 a year is basically free. And no other Gen was able to transfer with a Single Gameboy before)

There is zero tension driving me to the next gym. The first three gyms are set up great. But the rest of the Gyms are like, "Oh, is there one here? I guess I'll do it..."

The Music was really good in the early game, but later music isn't so great. The battle themes aren't very good. Need a Good playlist now...

The Friend Safari means that all 7XX+ pokemon can be captured. (I'm sure there are exceptions). It also means ALL DREAM WORLD STARTERS ARE LEGAL.

Hidden power is locked in at 60 Power, making it "Reasonably" Fair to obtain relevant HPs in-game.

DW Males can pass abilities. And Mothers can pass down the Pokeball they were caught in.

There is a lot to love, but there is room to grow in the next version.

Those that are complaining the game is easy have to understand that we have more knowledge about the games now since our very first PKMN games. Do I wish GAMEFREAK had included a hard mode in these games? Yes I do but I'm not gonna let that ruin the game for me. I suggest for those of you who are looking for a more challenging game experience is to turn off the option that lets you switch your PKMN once you have KO one of their PKMN, it's quite the challenge.

The poor difficulty level kind of sucks. I had to purposely hold myself back by not using mega evolutions, turning off the EXP Share, and switching the battling to "Set" mode. The atrocious AI and lack of any sort of challenge in general really didn't help, but it's not going to entirely ruin the game for me. It might sound silly to complain about difficulty with Pokemon, but considering all the new things they have added to the competitive side of the game, you'd think they would do the same with the main game. Just seems like a game a toddler can beat.

The lack of post-game content is somewhat unfortunate. Sure, there's daily things I'm able to do, and there's even the Battle Maison and the Battle Chateau, but it sucks knowing I have nowhere else to go, no secret areas I can discover. It's also shocking how they forgot left out a second round team for the Elite Four, considering they've done this with most of the games. It's not too much of a big deal, but still... It's just pointless to train levels when there is nothing to train for.

Other than this, the game was awesome, and I am glad with some of the changes they have made. It was fun while it lasted, since the experience I've had was one of the best with Pokemon games. Worth the ten month wait? Perhaps, but I had to really take my time to truly digest the game. Guess I'll start breeding Pokemon to train and head off to WiFi battling.
