Everyone and their mom wants Marshal xD I think he's cute looking and it would be nice to have him because he's cute but is a guy. Most of my favourite villagers are girls. xD But people go CRAZY for him. Like 40mil bells O_O Where on Earth do you get all those bells anyways? xD

I went on Bell Tree and since it loads slow for me, I decided to give away my forum currency and traded 600 forum currency dollars for 14.5mil bells. O_O Now I can pay off my whole loan! XD

Edit: I loved Dotty's house in this game. The wallpaper and flooring are so cute <3 They're black but it looks so fuzzy in her house with the sleek furniture c:

hahaha I know right! People are crazy - I assume the ones with heaps of bells are heavily into the turnip market. Which sounds kind of crazy because you seriously have to invest so much time and energy into it! and you cant TT, which I think would annoy me!

The turnips thing actually isn't too time consuming at all! Especially with a forum like BTF. While it's true you can't TT after you buy the turnips, what most people do is they just wait until someone posts a thread about a high turnip price in their town (which is pretty frequent - every time I log in I see at least one 500+ bpt thread), then they TT to a Sunday morning to fill their lockers full of turnips, and sell them all at the other person's town, earning millions of bells in just a few minutes.

But yeah, lately I think the best thing to do is just selling TBT on the forums, I also don't get why people hoard them by the thousands, but if they're willing to pay millions for them, I don't mind. :P

True, that is a good point. Maybe I'll look into it - after I get hippeux to leave. He is actually driving me crazy. That comic reminds me of when I was playing today. I had Stitches show up in my campsite, and I walked right out of the tent almost as soon as I went in.

Stitches is apparently pretty popular though, and I might've asked him to move in if I was one of those people that time travelled and was constantly switching villagers. Maybe I should've cashed in after the time I gave away Ankha rather than selling her, but I don't want to have 2 lazy villagers and 2 bear cubs in my town at the same time.

Being new to the series, I had to Google who Stitches was and I think that's so adorable!! Aww. I'd love to have him visit in my town at least once. Even if he's just visiting.

I really have no clue who the popular villagers are, but I'm assuming it's based on this chart.

And based on that I have only one popular villager, Maple and one somewhat popular villager, Tom. I can see why Maple's popular though cause she's adorable! I hope she never leaves my village. :3

I currently have Static, Marshal, Mint, Blaire, Flurry, Lucy, Phil, Fuchsia and Walker in my town at the moment. I need to find a peppy villager. Right now, I'm concerned with having my town have all the personality types in order to unlock the public works projects I need. As soon, as I get them, I'm sure I'll have like, all girl villagers. xD its how I roll for whatever reason.

Peanut's a good choice! I actually just moved her out today, after having her a good 6+ months. It was her time.

I got her before I was huge into plot resetting. She'd popped herself right in front of my police station. There's so much room there now, it's surreal.

I'm struggling about who to replace her with, though. I've got Dotty in my cycletown that'll do in a pinch, but I'm looking at AdoptMyVillager to see if someone I want more comes up for free.

Yeah, TT is a risky thing to do. I've gotten good at it though.

For me, it's all about
1. Being SUPER SUPER PARANOID. If no one pings to move for a few days, interrogate everyone. I also send my 2nd character on them. Sometimes villagers who are best buds with my mayor will ping about something stupid, and it'll overwrite the ping of whoever wants to leave. My 2nd character isn't close with anyone, so all she gets are move-out pings if checked right away.
2. Check for pings right after loading.
3. Going a day at a time. All my TT accidents were from two days forward, two days back. You get more leeway to catch a ping if you do it a day at a time.

Personally, I cycle through 7 days, and then go back to the 1st day after the 7th (I did May 9th-15th yesterday). That way I don't have to talk to my villagers and they'll still ping me. ;)

Today , I had a villager move out for the first time: Biskit. Really didn't care for him much though so it's fine. Just waiting to see who replaces him. I have Biff, Tom, Maple, Victoria, Bree, Tiffany, Cherry and Bubbles.

On TTing, I also just interrogate everyone until they're literally sick of me. I'll talk to them and spam the A button until they tell me to go away, and I do that with at least 4 or 5 villagers before I move on to the next day. It's a little tedious but I usually play Animal Crossing while I watch Netflix anyway, so it's not too bad.

The last time I was careless, I was TTing like 5 days ahead at a time because I wanted to get my game back to present-day time, and that's how I lost Ankha. :c

But anyway. Since we're all talking about our villagers, mine are currently Bruce, Rosie, Mira, Merengue, Chevre, Marina, Biskit and Tex. I'm trying to boot Tex out, get a new Snooty villager and maybe a Smug.

I haven't played AC in like a week - the last I played I suddenly got this error message about my SD card being undetected, has that happened to anyone else before? I just kinda stopped playing after that because I was afraid it would happen again, but I should probably look into it.

Pinging is when a villager makes a surprised emoticon and comes running up to you. It makes a "ping" sound when it happens, hence the name. You've likely had it happen to you before. If Biskit told you he was moving, he would've pinged you to do it. It's also the only way you can get Public Works Projects from villagers.

Chances are most pings are about something else though (catchphrase/greeting changes or stupid questions like "what kind of animal would I be??" -_-;). The better friends you are with someone, the more likely they are to want to talk to you. So much so, your BFF might ask you a stupid question, which would overwrite someone's ping about wanting to leave town.

That's why some of us talk to villagers a ton. If someone wants to move, another villager will say "I heard that [X] is going to leave town" at some point. From there, you can reload your game and get them to tell you they're leaving.

Just FYI, if you ever get behind again: I hear that if you tell someone to not move, you can safely TT as far ahead as you want the next load. I guess the game needs another load to decide if someone's leaving or not. So if you turn down someone and your next load is days/months ahead, no one will have a chance to decide to leave in that time.

I haven't personally tested it in my main town, but I've seen multiple people confirm it.

I think I had that happen to me once, but nothing bad happened, and it never happened again.

If you have a physical copy, you should be in the clear. All of the important stuff is stored on the cart. SD card I think just keeps Streetpass/Spotpass stuff. I don't know what to tell you if it's digital, though.

Ahahh yeah that's happened a ton of times, didn't know it had a fan term. I was actually talking about TTing which I now know is Time Traveling or changing your system's time or date to do certain things sooner. And I know it has alot of risks like loosing favorite villagers.

I'm just wondering, how do I get villagers from people online? I'm really looking for a replacement for Biskit soon. Hopefully not a another snooty or cranky villager cause I have plenty of them.

I might be going to Best Buy to try a Smash Bros 4 demo Saturday. If I do, I'm bringing my 3DS for Streetpasses and hopefully a new villager from someone's AC game.
