So, funny thing. I got FE Awakening since last year, got to Chapter 7, got stuck, and just left it. I started a brand new save just the last few days, and got to Chapter 12. Usually my tactic is to pair all of my units up, and just use, switch whatever I please. I dont normally use units that are just single haha. And I have like 3 pairs that are S-Support haha. I already class changed my avatar to Grandmaster since she maxed out chapters ago haha. Currently, my supports are Chrom x Avatar, Frederick x Lissa, Virion x Sully, Vaike x Miriel, Libra x Tharja, and a few others I can't seem to remember haha.

It's kinda hard to level up characters when you have a team that is uber now. My first three pairs are usually on my team and they are like above level 7, cept my avatar since she got a class change :3

The only weak units I have is Donnel and Sumia, which are still at the Level 2-3. I dont know how to Level them up since everyone just one shots them and if I let them do the killing, they usually die :( How do you level them up tho?

You can buy Reeking Boxes and use them on the maps of the first chapter or two, then have them fight the enemies there. They'll be really low level so Donny and Sumia should be ok. It also help to pair them up with one of your stronger units. They'll get a stat boost which'll help. Shouldn't take Donnel too long to get strong; that Apitude skill of his is fantastic. Just remember to Second Seal him to a different class once he hits level 10. You wanna spend as little time as possible in the Villager class.

What difficulty are you on? If you are on normal you could probably get away with using reeking boxes. Slowly build up Sumia and Donnel's levels in the prologue (moving on to chapters 1, 2, etc.), making sure they get pair up bonuses and get the last blow for EXP. If you are on hard or lunatic, there's no solution I'm afraid - you just have to suck it up and move on. This is all assuming you don't have access to the DLC.

Also try to be careful with Sumia's S-Links as once all the potential husbands have been snapped up it's impossible to unlock one of the paralogues. Though you are still in Chapter 12 - I wouldn't worry about it until after Chapter 13 (I'm purposely being vague to avoid any spoilers) - Of course if you have her married already I've said this for nothing.

P.S. sorry for the multiple notifications you probably have received from this, I've edited this couple of times.

I'm on normal classic, so yeah, gonna try those Reeking Boxes. Thanks for the heads up on Sumia though. I guess I could just pair her up with Gaius or something haha :)

btw got like 4 notifications haha and thanks Zekrom too ;)

I was at a con a few days ago and finally got to use streetpass and holy macaroni some people have all units max stats with amazing skills and some even including something called an "Outrealm skill" which is a placeholder for dlc skills but the effect they give still works and it's as overpowered as possible one of the possibilities is plus 2 to All stats and another one raises the maximum stat amount by 10. Anyone know how to beat those, Or should I just dismiss those teams?

So they STILL haven't fixed the multiple notification glitch, sigh...

I'd save Gaius instead of pairing him to Sumia (it's going to take a while to explain why and there are spoilers) but if you don't care about who gets which skills then I guess you could do whatever you want.

I suppose I can't forcefully undo your choices.

Second seal Donnel to Mercenary immediately after you get Underdog, though. And watch him become a one man army.

Isn't it good to max out Donnel's stats before reclassing? Or is it better to reclass it then?

It doesn't matter. Villager is a terrible class so I'd grab Underdog and get out of there at level 16. You want to use second seals during even levels.

Another problem is that none of the other classes Donnel has use lances, so being lance-locked for too long is useless for him.

Actually Donnel's Underdog works only on higher leveled units so once he's promoted (Hero, Warrior, or Ranger) and level 20 that skill becomes completely useless maybe if you reclass him back to villager and get him to level 30 it will be useful but otherwise in the end it won't matter.

So how does the passing down skills work? I'm still a whole lot confused as to what to do and what skills to pass :/ I'm at Chapter 14 now and plan to finish all the paralogues aka get the children characters before continuing on the main storyline.

The last on the equipped skill list gets passed down.
Also as someone who has done it on his first playthrough getting all the paralogue's as soon as they're available takes a really long time and most of them have fully promoted enemies and by the time you get back to the main story you'll be extremely overleveled and I even did some of the main chapters in between because you need to get s rank's and I kinda forgot about reeking boxes.

So it's time for me to re-class Lucina, but since her mother is MU, she can re-class into a bunch of different classes, which then brings up the problem of: which ones do I go for? So many options.....

She already has Galeforce, Aether, and Rightful King, btw.

Get Aegis to compensate for her lower resistance. Renewal works if you don't think Aether is reliable enough, but I don't know if all of her possible mothers can pass down the War Cleric class.

I suggest going for the Paralogues after you can buy Second Seals, that is, after clearing Chapter 16.

Paralogue 16 must be one of the easiest chapters.
