How did you discover PC?

The title is pretty straightforward :P
I discovered PC by my cousin. I discovered Light Platinum and came to its thread. Browsed through it and got hooked up by the ROM Hacking scene. At first, I had no intention to make an account here. I was like, I can't speak English, and just thinking this sentence makes me nosebleed. But, meh, my cousin, saw that I have a skill at ROM Hacking and introduced me at PC. And so, I made an account :P

I joined to download the latest beta of Shiny Gold! I had found an outdated version in a Spanish website and zel said there was a more up-to-date version here and the rest is history.

I joined to play Shiny Gold. I have no idea what happened, I'm not even sure I finished it.

I learned about PC when our family decided to sleep outside of home for a few days in the winter holidays. I was extremely bored so I was using handheld devices a lot, namely our DS, 3DS and iPad. Through the consoles I regained interest in Pokemon, and through the iPad I looked for a Pokemon forum and I stumbled about this wonderful place :D

EDIT: I forgot ton mention i joined in the 2013 April Fools Celebration. on that day, everyone appeared as Pokemon - no sigs/avatar/usernames/user titles - and I thought it was really cool :D

I just happened to stumble upon it one day, kinda forgot how or where. And since I was into joining Pokemon forums, I thought "why not?". Kept on coming back and forth, and now I'm here to stay.

Oh god... um, well... I was at a Digimon forum about ten or eleven years ago. That's where I was usually hanging around. I had a HUGE Digimon obsession. I had this guy I was sort of... friends with. He joined a forum called "Pokecommunity" since I think the Digimon forums were closing. Well, I sort of followed him here and joined. My memory's really fuzzy on this so... I'm probably not getting my details straight. >< But yeah.

I just realized your join date is from like the beginning of recorded time :o the forum climate in general must have been different back then, with social media not really existing yet iirc.

I guess I could say that I discovered PokeCommunity by having a conversation about it back on Super Skarmory Forums back in 2013. Course it was not until last year that I joined.

I joined in order to harvest Friend codes for Friend safari in X.
So I was also a member of most other Pokemon forums for the same reason, But decided to stay here because it has a nicer, friendlier and more relaxed atmosphere than the other sites. xD

I joined back in 2004 on another account, we weren't allowed to do name changes back then. I think I was looking for stuff to do with the Pokespecial manga, and a Google search led me here.

I googled Pokemon forum and I liked the layout of this one best. Plus it seemed to be the most active also. It's all been downhill from there

I'm going to go ahead and join the Shiny Gold boat on a technicality - my account atm was in fact created to download Shiny Gold, but my PC account was created in 2011 after leaving BMGf.

I never even got to downloading the game :(

I used to dream of making my own Pokémon games. I tried to program some simple things on my calculator. Some time later one of my friends showed me a Pokémon hack which let me know the possibilities of rom hacking. When I searched later for rom hacking, I found this forum. I wanted to experiment a little with it myself. Downloading tools requires an account, so I made one. I used to use the forums just as reference for the basics of learning rom hacking. Later I also lurked around on other parts of the forum (I think it was especially the theories in Pokémon General that interested me). About ten months after I created this account, I made my first response to a topic somewhere. Since then I've gotten more active and also in more parts of the forums (about never in rom hacking anymore. I halted my hacking project, which had just two completed maps, because of lack of time. I might continue next summer, who knows?)
