In other gaming news, last week I saw a trailer for the next Lego video game. The next Lego video game is Lego Jurassic World. It is based on the Jurassic Park movie franchise. Course the trailer I saw showed that it will becoming out in June and that two of the systems it is coming out on are Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
So open propagation of MS =D
At least mention that it comes on everything else as well =D

Got to mention it comes out on the 360/Xbone, because they're the most forgettable consoles =P *shot*

I like LEGO games, but they're always glitchy as hell; it's quite aggravating. It's a shame they're never going to finish the Hobbit LEGO series; I don't think the book needed three films, but they could have at least adapted all of the material into a game.

I'll strike through it next time~
...I just really do not like those consoles. The selection of exclusive titles is so off-putting, even without JRPGs there isn't anything to really attract me...guess it's just not my cup of tea. At the moment. Who knows, it'll be around for a few more years yet.

In other news, I think Type-0 might be going on the backlog...the gameplay is solid, but the motion blur is irritating, and I still haven't been told why I should care about the carnage going on around me. Plus I'm starting to get into Escha & Logy and find myself spending more and more time on it instead. xD

Haha, you're not the only one. Been so excited for Type-0 that I've barely registered what the actual plot of the game is and what I'm setting out to do as a player.

Escha & Logy was a fun game c: I was at first hesitant on the whole time-sensitive concept of Atelier games and the whole alchemy process, but it eventually grew on me and I purchased Ayesha shortly after.

    The battle lines are drawn!

I actually used to like the 360, although over the years I've really regretted purchasing one, as it lost the majority of the games that made it worth the purchase for me - the three Mass Effect titles, Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean 4, The Last Remnant, etc...and worse, those exclusives were improved when they were ported over to other consoles. It's still got a few noteworthy exclusives for me, but not many, and it just really annoys me that it happened. Maybe I shouldn't take it out on the console, as it's my own fault for being so impatient, but it still makes it a very off-putting machine...and I remember a time when it was stated, categorically, that Mass Effect would remain an Xbox 360 exclusive. I don't regret selling it, as in the end I was keeping it for three games: Banjo-Kazooie, Magna Carta II, and Tales of Vesperia. I had lots of other games for it, but I wound up getting most of them on the PS3 again.

Plus I was always pissed off that they had the audacity to charge you for online services the PS3 let you have free of charge, especially when Xbox Live was such a second-rate service when compared to the PSN...it was messy (at least it was after the update that made it look more like Windows 8) and the volume and variety of titles was insigificant when compared to the massive backlog the PSN had. Of course, Sony had the advantage there of history, but there were plenty of great Xbox titles they could have put up on their store. The controller design was awkward, and changing discs was a nuisance...changing discs! In the seventh generation! Not even the Wii made you swap discs. There really wasn't any excuse for that. It's a lot of little things, but they all add up. The PS3 has its flaws as well - I think I could probably hack their server, and I don't know the first thing about hacking! - but it has an amazing library of games. My PS3 library was twice the size my 360 library within a year.

With the Xbone it's not so much dislike as it is indifference, only I tend towards a negative viewpoint because I expect it'll be exactly like the 360 in terms of exclusive games. Which is fine, because obviously consoles aren't built to cater solely for me (although I do wonder with the Vita sometimes...) but I don't see why there can't be a little more diversity; it wouldn't hurt for Microsoft to at least try and attract some more developers. It's early days yet, but...well, it's early days for the PS4 too, and I'm already looking forward to the near future. I expect it'll have one or two games I'll want to play, but not enough for me to change my overall perspective on it. Still, we'll see, right?

Play first, work out plot later? xD
I picked up Type-0 primarily because I need more PS4 games; I wasn't really excited for it, which might be why I'm struggling to motivate myself to put time aside for it. All I want out of Square Enix right now is a Final Fantasy XII HD remaster; Zodiac version or not, I don't care. I just want to go back to Ivalice! xD

I've been playing the games since Rorona, and whilst I doubt it'll top Meruru (I'd be amazed if it did) it's shaping up to be as fun as Ayesha was for me. It reminds me a lot of Rorona in terms of the structure of the assignments and the map - Totori and Ayesha, at least, felt a lot less restrictive, and Meruru let you do whatever you felt like to achieve your goals - but I'm liking the improvements made to the battle system thus far. The cast isn't really striking a chord with me this time around, though...

That doesn't really surprise me too much, considering they released early this month the Devil May Cry Collection for newer console. Is there a trailer or screenshots available?

The only Devil My Cry game I played was Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne (Lucifer's Call here)

I was debating picking up DmC on the PS4 at some stage, since it's quite cheap and it looked fairly entertaining...I've never really played a DMC game before though; I dabbled briefly in the second and borrowed the fourth but never really played it. Out of Darkness was a nice song, though.

I realize I'm late to that talk but... I mostly use my Xbox One for media stuff. :( The only game I actually have for it is the Halo collection, haha. Otherwise we just use Oneguide for TV and shit.

Any good recommendations for games to buy for it? It feels underused.

OH and my bf has Forza, which he says is amazing. I usually fall asleep while he plays it

Head spins at the fact someone else owns a Xbox One

    • Handsome Jack Collection
Guacamelee and HJC are both great co-op games of you want to play together with your boo. I have other games you might be interested in but it all depends on your gaming preference.

Totally slipped my mind that Bloodborne was released today! Not that I'm going to purchase it right away, but still, already seeing positive reviews everywhere.

I've cancelled my Bloodborne pre-order, but it's looking increasingly likely that I'm going to place it again...especially now that I've heard some of the soundtrack. Dat main title theme. Holycrap. I'm a sucker for dramatic vocals, and Bloodborne is full of it. The gameplay videos look good as well. But after just getting Type-0 HD, I really shouldn't...

...plus I'm getting Toukiden Kiwami on my Vita this week. For free. I love reward card points. xD

Apparently we can give Dante white hair from the start, I say go for it.

They released the DmC: Devil May Cry reboot as a next gen port this month. Devil May Cry 4 is also getting a Special Edition releasing on the 18th of June iirc. The original DMC4 on 360/PS3 had two playable characters, both very well designed and Dante especially is incredibly in-depth and the skillcap is like, sky high.

The Special Edition is adding another THREE characters. Vergil (Dante's brother who starred in DMC3), Lady (also starred in DMC3), and Trish who came in DMC1 and makes a few appearances in the original DMC4. Vergil is going to have compeltely different mechanics to Dante/Nero, and it looks like Lady also has a VERY interesting playstyle - since she's no demon, she won't have the classic Devil Trigger move that every other playable character in the series has. However from screenshots it seems she has something different? THere's not much known right now. Trish is a mystery to me too.

Here's the trailer showing snippets of stuff from the orginal game, as well as sneak peeks of Vergil/Lady/Trish gameplay.

    EDIT: SCREENSHOTS IN THIS
    Spoiler:

This will be the greatest action game ever.

(also i am very excited for bloodborne and i have preordered it however i am in the UK and it does not release until the 27th so.....)

I don't think it really matters what order you play the Dusk series in; they're not really very connected to one another...well, there are a few characters who are in multiple games, but Escha & Logy doesn't really feel like a continuation of the story in the same way that Totori did for Rorona. That might be why I'm having issues getting attached to the cast, aha.

Yeah, they have no relations with each other except the ones you mentioned. Though I was never planning to play them in that order to begin with, haha. Was only gonna hoard the series that interested me.
