  • Welcome to the club! I'd love to hear your opinion about the latest topics! Here's the last two that was up;

Why do you think there hasn't been a female main antagonist yet? Would you like to see one?

Invent a backstory for your favourite villain.

    Enjoy your stay!

Hmm that's a good question. If ever there were a time though, now would be it. I'm constantly seeing a push for female leads in all forms of multimedia.

As for me... i'm admittedly a bit of a sexist. Not that i don't respect, appreciate, or acknowledge fantastic women and female leads, i just find myself much less interested when they are the primary antagonist/protagonist in any movie, comic, series etc. I don't even like playing girl characters in video games. Not sure why. I have no hate. Just not my cup of tea.

As for backstory. Idk. I'm also not very creative lol. But i do like when the villain is relatable. it's best when they have a completely rational explanation for why they are the way they are. Especially when they aren't just straight black n' white evil. Such as Magneto. He's the perfect villain because his backstory is relatable, his actions because of it are understandable, and his desires as a result are logical. The only thing that makes him a villain is that he doesn't let his sense of morality hinder him from his ultimate goal. He might kill some people along the way but generally not pointlessly.

And, none of this "destroy the plant" cliche crap... I always find it odd how a villain is able to rally henchman under the implied motive of global destruction. I know i wouldn't wanna work for someone that wants to destroy the world.. i live on the world... and generally (henchmen in particular) are pretty selfish. So i don't see how they go for this.

So, would you classify what Cyrus was trying to do as a valid plan? He wasn't going to destroy the world in the way you mean. he was going to create a world for himself and his henchmen so what do you think about that?

hmmm i don't remember much of him but yea the destroy the world to make a better one is understandable to a degree but i still wouldn't trust that as a henchman. Who's to say he won't destroy me in the process? (or himself?) . How much does he or i know about the power he's trying to command? Not only that but why destroy this world? If you have the power to create universes why not just make your own and leave this one alone?

I also don't think his backstory is enough to stand on for such an ambition. Not like he was violated and tortured for years, he was just socially awkward? I suppose a more agreeable version of that would be Uchiha Madara's; alter the already existing world to his liking. As far as villains go i suppose he isn't the worst of em' but he could stand to have been fleshed out a bit more.

  • Oh I really wanted this topic! Anyways I think the leaders of the teams were actually all working together, and some debating caused them to split.
That would be a interesting story to read. Why do you think they split (beside Archy x Maxie)?

Also, if there's a topic you want seen, feel free to post it yourself :D

Oh and by the way, do you want notifications? xD

  • Invent a story for your favorite villain.
How did I end up being unintentionally prepared for this before it became the topic? If you want something more detailed, PM me or something for a link to the fanfic I'm writing. It'll have your 'more detail'. (It'll also have T. Rocket and Plasma for those of you who like 'em.) Totally not advertising, not at all.

My favorite baddie, though he's not much of one by the end of the game storyline (and isn't one at all in the anime), is N. And so I'm one of those people that believes the poor kid grew up suffering. So yeah. Summary of my idea of a backstory for him:

He ended up getting dumped in the forest when he was very young, and was found and raised by a family of Zoroark/Zorua (I just, for some reason, love his partnering with a Zoroark in the final battle in B/W) which resulted in him learning how to understand the Pokemon language rather than the human one. Ghetsis showed up when he got older and pretty much ripped him away from that life, taking him to Team Plasma's castle and teaching him only what he decided N would need to know in order to 'rule' (we all know he ended up being just a puppet) Team Plasma. Eventually, he was allowed out of the castle to search for the Light Stone (this would be the point he meets White/Hilda/Touko and Black/Hilbert/Touya) and when he found it, Reshiram did indeed show up. Here, it sort of connects to the anime, in that Reshiram got very angry (all Ghetsis' fault of course), burned down the area, and left. Ghetsis got upset and started being cruel to N, basically abusing him in every way possible, to keep him under control so they could have a second attempt(because we all know that N is surprised when he discovers that the protagonist's Pokemon like him/her, and so naturally, this should cause him to doubt whether or not all Trainers are evil).

Longer than I intended, but that's my backstory for N.

Feel free to link to anything that's related to Pokemon villains! We live and breathe for those stuff and I'd love to read your fanfic, especially since you came up with a great backstory for N! :D

I had a dream a few months ago about joining Team Rocket and I've been wanting to write a story for it but I wouldn't know where to start. I'm use to writing for wrestling and hot guys in almost nothing...Lol.

I hope you both enjoy it! Please do me the favor of not being the lazy readers who don't give feedback. Reviews are an author's motivation! :)

Beginning a story can be difficult. I often get an idea and even a few quotes or phrases to use, then have no idea how to begin it. Best of luck if you do start writing it. I'd read it!

I don't have time to read this today (there are seven chapters! xD) but I will! Sounds like it's quite good!

  • Which villain is the most evil?
You mean in pokemon? Hmmm tough to say. All the team leaders sit comfortably around the same 'level of evil' which is to say, they certainly aren't nice guys but still a far cry from the likes of say, Hannibal Lector or Norman Bates. They all generally seem like they have some level of honor and decency and still often very much persuadable to see a more righteous path than the one they are pursuing.

I'd say that at face value, probably Ghetsis has the most evil looking persona and illustration. But Lysandre probably has the most evil goal/plan.

It's still an in-progress thing, so there will be many more than 7 chapters. It's also rather fast paced.

Most evil villain? Ghetsis. Anyone that asks me to explain why my opinion is so will receive a full-blown rant about the guy. You have been warned.

  • Which villain do you think is the most evil?

I think the most evil villain from the games that I've played so far (haven't played Gen IV and V), would be Lysandre. Lysandre envisions a beautiful world wherein no pokemon will be harmed and be used for personal gain and to realize this, he plans to completely eradicate human population (excluding his members) and pokemon population as well. This thinking, in my opinion, made him the evilest villain because this thinking is the exact thinking of a psychopath where everything exist in a cause-effect manner regardless of how immoral the outcome will be.

A disregard for the moral values of his actions and the lack of remorse and guilt in commiting such acts to deliver his great plan of eradication makes up the evilest and most frightening villain, in my own opinion.
