  • And there's no mention of Who's That Pinkemon?, so...

Fine, allow me to redo that post. xD

Lycanthropy once slandered my "Who's That Pokémon" contest with this abomination:

    Spoiler: Better now?

NOTICE: Hi everyone, please click here if you wish to access the main thread of "Who's That Pinkémon"!

Pokémon Choice Quest - Chapter 61. A shocking sensation

    Weekly Puzzle #45

It's time to put your Pinkémon knowledge to the test with our weekly contest of "Who's That Pinkémon"! Once a week every Tuesday I'll post a zoomed-in section of a Pinkémon and it's your job to tell me which Pinkémon the art belongs to. All of the art used will be from the Pinkémon's official Dream World art and will be a 30x30 px section of the art cropped and zoomed in 8x. Once you think you have an answer, send it to me in a PM and you could be our next prize winner!

    Directions

    • Guess the Pinkémon whose art is being featured!
    • The clue is a 30x30 px section of the Pokémon's Dream World art (found here) cropped and magnified 8x.
    • Send Meadow a PM (private message) with your answer once you've figured it out - you may answer as many times as you want per week, but only your final answer will count!
    • Do not post answers in this thread - you don't want other people to use your answers, do you?
    • Feel free to chat about the puzzles and how easy/hard you find them; that's the fun of this game after all!
    • Submit your answers by next Tuesday (February 23) before 10:00 p.m. EST if you want them to count!

    Rewards!

A winner is a winner and a winner is you - assuming you won! Here's what you can expect to win from accumulating points by guessing puzzles correctly. (Hover over the emblems for descriptions!)

    Clue - Week 45

As of May 31, 2015, Mega Pokémon are now included as possible answers in the standard "Who's That Pokémon" rounds!

Pokémon Choice Quest - Chapter 61. A shocking sensation

Good luck, everyone! Feel free to discuss the puzzle in either this thread or the Thread That's Not Pink Yet! I added a poll to this thread to get an idea of its general difficulty level, so I would appreciate it if you gave your opinion! (All votes are anonymous, so there's no need to be shy!) ^^

I might have accidentally created the KFC dictatorship OOPS

I'd say we go with B) and grab free chicken while we still can! There's nobody as quite as strange as Alex so I think C) is out of the question. D:

OMG if I could like your post a million times, then I would. =P All those good memories aaaaaaa! Strangely enough, that was almost exactly a year ago, which is super super super cool! :D

...Okay, so I just started reading through all those posts and omggggg I can't even contain the nostalgia. xD (I can't believe we were so sassy to Squirrel back then, haha.) Don't mind me, just gonna randomly comment on a few of those posts. c:

  • So yeah, this is the actual chapter I planned to put up on April Fools Day. As you may notice it was slighly more subtle than Revise's that ninja. >:(
Counting his, this and a serious story there will actually be three story lines, which I still haven't figured out how to deal with entirely. I'm open for suggestions there. Either way, enjoy!

    56. Boring casual stuff

    Location: Team Zeta Headquarters

When Scrambles opened up World Domination for Dummies a black vortex emerged from it, sucking the entire room and its content within.

Once the black blur and strange glowing purple particles started to fade, the Pokémon can see they're on a floating platform in something that appears to be a giant factory. Below on the ground level hundreds of Vanillite are carrying around various obscure chemicals and controlling futuristic machines. Maybe the strangest thing of all is that each of them has a toxic orb taped to their forehead.

After ten seconds of silence (which felt like hours), a spotlight turned on and shone on a small stage. Two Zekrom did some ridiculous dance and introduced a little Sandshrew to the stage.

"Welcome, you're just in time for my little show!"

The mouse Pokémon revealed a remote with one big red button on it. One press on that button opened up a hatch in the ceiling and the platform you're standing on slowly started floating upwards. When you're outside, the hatch closes below you and you notice the environment has cooled down harshly.

One of the walls of ice nearby starts to crack and a purple liquid with a strange berry odor starts flowing through the breach. Swimming upwards is futile, there's too much. There is no escape. You're drowning and the entire world is about to be destroyed.

There's one last thing you can do, what will you do?
A: Drink as much purple liquid and see if the poison can beat drowning.
    B: Hug your fishing rod.
C: Eat all the ice cream! Oh wait, there's none left.
D: This can't be happening, right? This must be because of the shrooms!
April Fools! A serious more serious chapter will be following Soon™.

  • Well... this is confusing. I suppose I vote D for/Revise's and B for Lycan's (April Fool's) version.

This is going to lead to some strange things, isn't it?
I wonder what would happen if you decided to have the different timelines intersect around chapter 75 except it would probably destroy the world, having more than one version of some Pokémon (or even having ones that are alive when they should be dead).

Messing around with the time - space continuum induces headaches.

I used to be hung up on those shrooms. Real horrible things... Could make you eat your own fingers thinking that they were slowpoke tails dipped in honey-slime...

  • Omg what should we do? ;_;

I'm gonna go with B - hug the fishing rod!

    This sounds pretty interesting!

Ahahaha, whoops... My bad. ;_; Please don't ban me! xD

I can think of many potential directions we can take this story, but if we want to keep things clean and simple, then the best way is probably to wrap up both of our April Fools' chapters with a follow-up epilogue or something like that. xD

(And optionally, you could have one extra chapter before each of those epilogues if you want to prolong the suffering.)

Seeing as one of the time lines is quite literally being destroyed already, this shouldn't be too hard. Or maybe that actually makes it harder? Hmm...

Y'know, it's kinda funny how it went from "saving our trainer" to "let's learn to dominate the world by eating shrooms!"

Ever heard of the word "sidequest"? ;)

So uhm... how about I drag you to the Underground now? Totally not because I want to edit your posts nope.

    Fair enough, fair enough. :p

And I think I'd feel much safer and lazier staying in just Trivia for now, hehe. I've never really ventured too far out of here yet. XD And oh my, I would totally be at your mercy, lol.

  • I know April Fools day has passed for quite some time, but there are still noticeable traces (actually one giant mess with three story lines) from said day where user Meadow and myself sort of have abolished this thread. Right, so for minimized chaos I decided to continue everything in one post here I hope that makes it (somewhat) follow-able.
I must warn you... making wrong decisions in one of the dimensions might even influence stuff in the other two. (Oh, did I say something about minimizing chaos? Well, forget about that. :P)

    57A. Can't even read a book here

Location: Team Zeta Headquarters - Secret library

Your Pokémon team decides to take a read in World Domination for Dummies. (I wonder how they even became literate.)

"World domination is something many and many people have tried to achieve and has a history that goes back to the ancient times. People often underestimate this basic process behind this principle, simply walking into the government building, pointing a fishing rod at them and ask to hand over all power isn't always going to work. The key here is showing you actually mean it. In this book we'll talk about -"

"Have you found anything interesting in my master's little library, younglings?" a voice said from behind.

When they turn around, the Pokémon see a Noctowl staring at them with a creepy gaze.

    What do you say?
A: "Hi! How are you today?"
B: "What are you guys up to?"
C: "Can you summarize this book in a few sentences?"
D: "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen Swellow?"
The next chapter can be expected... I don't know. Not too long hopefully.

Jingles looked into the KFC box the nearest to her, but it was empty. On inspection of the other boxes, every but one of the boxes only contained air. This exceptional box held one million Pokédollars! (That's what she guessed at least, she couldn't count it in one glance.) And if that weren't enough, the box also contained the last will of the late Pachirisu who owned the company.

"I asked my minions to post this note to a randomly generated address. If they haven't, tell them to stop dancing and get back to work!
Either way, the lucky holder note is the rightful owner of my KFC company. Enjoy!"
